Pros:

Clears up blackheads, Smooths out skin, lots of product for price, can buy pieces a la cart if desired, do not have to sign up for monthly shipping

Cons:

Time Consuming, Wish it was stronger, wish there was a stronger spot treatment.

It works, and fits with what I have come to learn through Dermatologist visits since I was 12 and life experience. My dermatologist was an idiot, by idiot... I mean he put me on accutane for moderate acne that was made worse by his suggestion that I scrub the crap out of my face, aggrivate it, then come back and see him to "take care of it". SCAM! I learned that being gentle on your skin is the way to go. An interesting byproduct of my OLD derm's methods is that the 2.5% BP seems so mild! However, it has cleared up everything but my stubborn acne around my jawline in only about a week! That is freaking impressive. I will say that I thought the moisturizer really does need the Jojoba oil. The skin on my neck is more sensative, so it did get dried a bit from me accidentally getting BP on it. However the Jojoba completely fixed the dryness, and made my skin feel like it has just had a tall drink of water! Me gusta. The only thing I think this regime lacks is a stronger spot treatment. For that I got a 10% BP from Clean and Clear, and use it on the problem areas before I apply the Acne.org treatment everywhere else. The few downsides of this regime are: that it takes SO long for the BP to dry, and that they don't offer an sunscreen to use. It would be great if they could add SPF to the moisturizer, since then I wouldn't have to wait for 4 layers to dry...lol. All in all, solid product, better for your skin then proactive, and feels like good value for your money since you can literally feel and SEE that the products do what they are supposed to. For anyone concerned about bleaching your sheets and towels...simple, use white towels and sheets. Its the same deal whether you get your products from the Dermatologist, Proactive, the drugstore, or Acne.org. clear skin is worth it.

Pros:

-Good for mild acne
-Simple Regimen to follow
-Skin does not become resistant to BP over years of usage compared to other antibiotics

Cons:

-NOT good for more severe cases of acne
-VERY time consuming
-Discolors pillows
-Can leave face oily
-Redness and dryness will surely occur
-Expensive

This regimen and the philosophy of using only a low dose of Benzoyl Peroxide for all acne cases is silly. The low dose of BP is great for people with mild acne, but does not cover the wide range of acne cases that may exist. I have suffered with acne for years. I have been prescribed everything under the sun including adapalene, Retin- A, Duac, and most others. For me Duac(5%BP 1%clindmycin) worked best for the years that I took it. After three years of carefree and perfect skin Duac's results became mediocre and my dermatologist said the BP was still working but my skin had become resistant to the clindamycin. (my skin is under control now, but I'm using a complex mix of antibiotics and retinoids) If you aren't allergic to clindamycin and have not taken it before, Duac is a much better choice and covers a much wider range of acne cases than the regimen. It has prescription strength antibiotics, which you can only get from a doctor, and it is much less time consuming to use than the regimen (5 minutes a day as oppose to 25 X2). In conclusion, the regimen is perfectly okay for mild to very mild acne sufferers, but anything more complex a dermatologist should be consulted.

Pros:

Leaves your pores tight after cleansing
Gives results overnight
Isn't harsh

Cons:

Smells a little weird but not but. You get used to it after the first couple seconds
I ordered the big kit and got the lotion in two 8 oz bottles instead of a 16 oz bottle.

It is an amazing product that delivers on what it say. When you wash your face, you can feel your pores got tighter and your skin feels so clean in a way you couldn't imagine. BP never dried out my skin. Take your time and be patient with the amount you put on. I wanted to put a lot to get results fast, but just take it slow. Lotion hydrates amazingly and doesn't give that weird oily too much lotion feeling. I really wish they hadn't sent me the two 8 oz lotion instead of the 16 oz! I would've waited a couple days if it was out of stock.

Have there been cases of extreme reaction? Is there any kinda guaranty that it wouldn't ruin up our skin? I just want it to be safe and effective.

Pros:

● works extremely well
● most amazing skincare products ever sold
● contains lots of product
● can store better than you may think
● clears up acne quickly
● overall, everything is awesome

Cons:

● takes some longer to get used to the awesomeness

I love the acne.org products, I am very fortunate to have discovered them, and I hope someone reading this review will purchase these products because they are so amazing, trust me, they WILL work! Unlike other acne products that claim to "give you clear skin in just 1 day", this product line actually does what it says it does, which is hard to find these days! Why should you buy the big kit as opposed to the other kits? Well, the big kit has lots more product, and it's environment friendly! If you want clear skin, GET THESE PRODUCTS, and follow the regimen precisely! Overall, I love these products, they are awesome!

Pros:

can't think of any

Cons:

made my skin sooo dark,
causes inflamation,
burns and itches
puffy eyes

I was really hoping that this would be the product that work for me. I'm in my mid twenties with severe acne. I have deep dark skin. This product made my skin soo dark and i saw no results. It saddens me because I had such high hopes in it. Also, every morning I woke up with puffy eyes while using this product. I only used it for 3 weeks. I personally wouldn't recommend it to dark skinned people, especially those with sensitive skin.

Pros:

Cleared acne surprisingly fast.
No nasty smells.
Products easy to apply.

Cons:

Drying but not overly so.
The clear up phase is stressful.

I've had cystic acne since I was 18, I'm 24 now. I got this kit just because I assumed I'd eventually need all of the products. I use the cleanser, treatment, and moisturizer twice a day. I use jojoba once a day at night. The clear up phase, where I noticed major breakouts, was very trying. Most of my problem areas are deep under my skin, and easy to hide. The products brought them to a very painful head. My skin now is so smooth. I've not had any new breakouts. I'm very satisfied.

Pros:

Well organized

Cons:

Make my skin red
Irritated it

It did not work for me. I have heard great things, but it did not work for me. The whole regimen made my entire face red because it basically burned my face. It looks as if I have sunburn now. As far as acne, I seem to have the same amount as before.

Pros:

I love benzoyl peroxide, It's quite a bit, lasts me an average of 3 months. You can't buy in most local stores so It's a great bargain. I also love the cleanser in the shower, although I haven't been ordering that very often, I plan to in the near future! :)

Cons:

I'm not a fan of the new moisturizer. The old version was great. Tends to have a yellow tint on my pale skin and not as watery consistent.

I love all Dan Kerns product minus the moisturizer.

Pros:

The big bottles are great if you are using the regimen twice a day as you will go through a lot of product. And the amount of product used makes the bigger bottles better value. I live in Australia so its better to get larger bottles that last for longer periods in order to save on shipping costs.

Cons:

The larger bottles are harder to store. They take up a lot of room in the bathroom cupboard, which is fine if you don't have to share with someone else. Also, the cleanser, moisturiser and treatment are bottled in the same size and I generally use them up at the same time frame, however I've nearly finished the AHA+ when I still have a third of product left in everything else. It also looks like the jojoba oil will last to the equivalent of 3 bottles of everything else.

I'm a big fan of Dan's Regimen products. They have got me 100% free from acne for the first time in 20 years. No other topical treatment has worked for me and I still have to pinch myself to believe that I finally have acne free skin. I think that the AHA+ is an essential part to the regimen as this magical cream got my skin from clear to glowing. The Big Kit Plus pack is great if you are following the regimen exactly as per Dan's instructions. It provides good value for money (especially if you live overseas to reduce the costs of packaging) and it saves you having to keep ordering in replacement supplies as a lot of product is used in following the regimen. You may find that you use the different products at various rates, so for subsequent orders you may only need to order individual items. Obviously you would need to watch out for shipping costs if this is the case. I highly recommend that Big Kit Plus pack and all of Dan's products in general.

Pros:

Clears Skin

Cons:

Takes a while to work
Difficult initial outbreak/redness/drying because of the BP

After using this product for two months, I am a believer. It has cleared the horrific breakout I had after a miscarriage which prompted me to try it in the first place-- I had originally suffered from "mild" acne since I was 13. I thought nothing could fix my skin after the hormone shift I recently went through- it felt like every single pore was working to destroy itself. After eight weeks of diligent use, I am at the point of just clearing up scars from my horrible acne that previously existed. I do get one to two small whiteheads a week that I simply need to spot treat and get rid of, but no big ones and no blackheads etc. Before starting Dan's regimen, I got off all other retinoids and harsh cleaners and cleaned my face out with a few sulfur masks. After cleaning only with Purpose' gentle cleanser for about a week and avoiding all other acne products, I then started the BP regimen. This seemed to work in my favor because the redness and flaking were minimal and I have uber sensitive skin. The first few weeks will feel horrible from the BP, and I also had a bad initial breakout, but if you stick with it you'll be cleared up in no time. I can finally feel comfortable walking out of the house with no makeup for the first time in almost fifteen YEARS! It works. Period.
