Life Saver
Let me start off by saying that I didn't follow the regime to a T. Instead of twice a day, I applied the benzoyl peroxide only once a day the majority of the time because I didn't like applying makeup over it. Despite this, my skin improved slowly but surely. As of right now it's been 4 months of application. My skin acted up after I used foundation that had gone bad. My skin flared up and I was left ugly scars on my cheeks. After trying just about everything I came upon this treatment. When I first began my skin was left irritated. The benzoyl peroxide burned and the moisturizer burned even more, especially around the nose and mouth area. My skin was left very dry and putting on foundation became a flaky situation. I followed the instructions diligently but had yet to find any prominent results. The condition of my skin didn't change. It was still acting up and now it was dry as well. I considered dropping it, but since I still had a lot of the treatment left I kept going. This time I skipped my T zone plus my chin and only targeted my problem area, which were my cheeks. My condition got better visibly, slowly. The bp stopped burning, the dryness became more manageable and my scars faded. I don't even remember when last I had a pimple. I only have three advice from my experience. 1. Be diligent in applying/washing off the benzoyl peroxide as advised (10-12 hours, no longer!). 2. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! 3. Be patient and monitor your skin. If it's working you'll see it (even the smallest visible improvement) I'm not here to tell you that this product will work for everyone. But for the sake of your future skin, it's good to have patience with this treatment. You're not going to shed 20kg permanently in a few weeks, so don't expect to have flawless skin within that time either. Everything permanent is done over a long period, so just be patient and get to know your own skin.

Feel confident in your own skin
I've had my fair share with the depression and lack of confidence that acne can bring. I tried everything from Retin-a to epiduo to even natural products like Lush. This is the only thing that cleared my skin, and when I say cleared I mean I only get one pimple very rarely. I'm going to try and make this short and sweet, so please if you're considering buying this product just do it. If you're sick of having acne bring you down I highly recommend it. This truly gave me my confidence back

Good Bye Acne
I NEVER write reviews but I would like to help someone if possible. Background: Acne runs in my family, all my siblings and parents had it as teens and I never had anything more than a few pimples until I turned 18. I literally woke up one day and had terrible cystic acne. I used Retin-A for years without much success. I have tried every skin treatment possible. If you have adult cystic acne and think absolutely nothing will work without going to a dermatologist, GIVE THIS A TRY! My acne is 85% better in not even three months. It is so worth it. Now, here are the cons you will have to deal with: Flaky skin, no matter how much you try to moisturize. Time consuming regime. Bleached sheets, costly regime that takes about two weeks to arrive (I find that one kit lasts me about two months, using two pumps of cleanser does not seem necessary to me) Is it worth it to be able to take photos again, and look good when you have makeup on? Yes. Finding the perfect regime for your skin is not going to happen over night. You have to keep making alterations until you find the perfect balance. Do not give up. Tips: Start easy with the Benzoyl Peroxide, your skin will tell you when it is ready for more. Use coconut oil instead of jojoba oil if you need additional moisture. Mash up an avacado once per week and use as a facial mask for incredibly soft skin. Do not use any scrubbing devices. Give yourself extra time in the morning to do the regime correctly.

This stuff REALLY works!
This review might be a bit lengthy, so I'm going to start off by saying that if you are suffering from acne and sick of trying product after product, PLEASE give the regimen a try. I was skeptical at first to try another 3 step system but for the first time in 10 years I am finally experiencing the clear skin I've always dreamt of. I started breaking out around age 10. Just some small pimples at first but in a few years I had full blown cystic acne. My self confidence was non-existent and I was SO self conscious of my skin. I refused to make eye contact with people thinking that this way they wouldn't notice my acne. My battle with cystic acne has continued ever since, most likely because of hormones and genetics (thanks Dad.) I discovered Acne.org a few years ago during one of my many internet searches for how to cure acne. At first I overlooked The Regimen thinking "Oh, its just another 3 step miracle cure that won't actually work for cystic acne". Well, about 2 months ago I became so fed up with my acne that I thought I'd order the free sample kit and give The Regimen a go. My first week of the regimen wasn't smooth sailing. I developed a really itchy rash on the one side of my face. I later discovered that I was allergic to something in the cleanser which isn't very common apparently. However, after switching to the Cetaphil Daily Cleanser, all was well and the regimen started to work its magic. I'm now about 2 months into the regimen and have the clearest skin I've had in a LONG time. Also, I introduced Dan's AHA+ after a month on the regimen. I just mix a little AHA into my moisturizer at night and have found that this works well for me. The AHA is helping to slowly start fading some of my hyper pigmentation and acne scars. Overall, I couldn't be more grateful for what the regimen has done for my skin, my self confidence, and my life. I whole-heartedly recommend this product to people suffering with acne. Please give the regimen a try, you won't be sorry! <3

Pros:

cheap, no fragrance,works!

Cons:

bp can be drying, takes time (most acne treatment does) for some people buying online can be annoying. (i just stock up) ;)

i have been using this system for about 3 weeks and i know its a little soon but i wanted to share my experience so far. My skin started breaking out when i was about 18-19 i am now 23. It was mild to moderate. I have been to several dermatologist and i have tried oral antibotics, which worked great. i dont remember which one it was but my skin in 3 months was beautiful!!BUT i was sick and tired of taking pills. I just felt like the long term effects of taking antibotics would not be worth it. Long story short i tried numerous over the counter products because my acne kept coming back and getting worse and everytime i went to the dermatologist it was just medication after medication of things that just didnt work! i finally had did some research on bp and i started with clean&clear persa gel 10%. i went through hell for the first couple months from redness, dryness i mean i cried a couple times because i was just so fed up with acne. After my skin adjusted to the bp thats what i was using for about a year and it did help clear me up but my skin didnt look flawless and i kept getting new pimples from time to time. I finally stumbled upon this website and dans products. after reading these reviews i finally decided to give it a try. SOOO it has been 3 weeks and i must say i am starting to feel like myself again. i dont wanna jinx it but i am starting to notice improvements. before i started the regimen i stopped using the clean&clear for a couple days so that my skin wouldnt get too crazy. the first week of the regimen was a bit confusing because my skin in the first couple days almost instantly looked better. as the second week began i started to notice my skin purging. now i know nobody wants to deal with this stage but i figured my skin has been so clogged for so long that i just had to deal with it. the reason i didnt get turned off from these products at the moment was because i noticed the purging was mainly happening from the pimples already on my face so i fel

Pros:

-effective
-clear skin

Cons:

-very dry skin
-time consuming

The Acne.org regimen works. I've tried so many other products but this is far and away the most effective system I've ever tried. My acne started to improve in 1 week. After 2 moths I barley break out anymore. I used to have what seemed like constant breakouts on my forehead but now i almost never do! The regimen has made me feel so much more confident about myself. The only down side is that for the first month my skin was extremely dry, but after the jojoba oil helped that immensely. My sister has been dealing with acne for a couple years and nothing worked for her. When I started the regimen she commented on how good my skin looked and I introduced her to acne.org. The regimen also worked great on her skin. Thank You Dan!

Pros:

Controls acne
Inexpensive
Manages the irritation caused by the BP

Cons:

Takes time and effort - but it is worth it!

I've had acne since I was 12 years old, and my dermatologist could do nothing for me;everything she recommended was expensive and did not work. When I was 21, I started researching online and found this regime. It is the ONLY thing that has worked for me. The BP is drying to my sensitive skin, but the regime works to manage that. It is still gentler than any other topical I've tried. I've been on it for over 2 years now and still going strong! I use a little less BP than Dan recommends - maybe my face is smaller, and my skin dries out very easily. I find this still works for me; I just never worked up to the full 2 pumps and stopped when I found the amount to be effective. And I can't say enough about the psychological benefits of finally controlling my acne. Nothing will "cure" acne, but this gives you a fighting chance at clear skin!

Pros:

Leaves your pores tight after cleansing
Gives results overnight
Isn't harsh

Cons:

Smells a little weird but not but. You get used to it after the first couple seconds
I ordered the big kit and got the lotion in two 8 oz bottles instead of a 16 oz bottle.

It is an amazing product that delivers on what it say. When you wash your face, you can feel your pores got tighter and your skin feels so clean in a way you couldn't imagine. BP never dried out my skin. Take your time and be patient with the amount you put on. I wanted to put a lot to get results fast, but just take it slow. Lotion hydrates amazingly and doesn't give that weird oily too much lotion feeling. I really wish they hadn't sent me the two 8 oz lotion instead of the 16 oz! I would've waited a couple days if it was out of stock.

Have there been cases of extreme reaction? Is there any kinda guaranty that it wouldn't ruin up our skin? I just want it to be safe and effective.

Products that Work
I've always been pretty lazy about taking care of my skin. I would wash my face in the shower, and that's about it. As I entered my mid-thirties, my face began breaking out like I was a teenager. It was also dull and I was noticing age spots and gaping pores on my nose and chin. I had tried the BP treatment from acne.org years ago, and I remember it working well. So I bought another bottle and started using it religiously. (I paired it with Neutrogena Natural face wash and Cetaphil and Cerave moisturizers.) One day, I received an unexpected package in the mail: a full sample-sized Regimen kit. I was surprised! I can't think of another company that has sent me such a generous gift for trying their product. The kit also came with coupons, which I used to purchase cleanser and the AHA product. The Regimen works great. After about a month, my skin was pretty clear. I only suffer the occasional pimple- I do not break out like I used to. Here's a review of each of the separate products: Cleanser: Happy with the cleanser. It is very gentle, doesn't have a heavy fragrance, and removes a lot of my makeup. I do use jojoba oil (from Trader Joe's) to get rid of all my mascara and eyeliner, and I follow the cleanser with a gentle toner (from Simple) to get the guck the cleanser didn't. I don't know if the cleanser is 'better' than, say, Cetaphil, but I appreciate the size, the pumping mechanism, and the overall cost. It lasts a long time, and I trust this brand. Benzoyl Peroxide: Most of the over 'the- counter treatments contain 10% BP, which is okay for spot treatment, but not for spreading over your entire face. The BP will clear your skin and will then work to prevent further breakouts. I've never seen a similar product like it out there. The generous size makes it a great bargain. This stuff changed my life! Any amount of BP will dry out the skin, so using a moisturizer is crucial. However, my skin is now used to the BP, and if I skip the moisturizer, I'm okay. Give it a good six weeks to clear up your skin. If it doesn't work, time to see the dermatologist' Moisturizer: I've used the sample moisturizer, and I had no problem with it. However, I like my Cetaphil morning moisturizer because it has sunscreen. I'm also trepidatious because of acne.org moisturizer's negative reviews: I have fair skin and do not want to stain my face yellow! (Though, I have heard the licorice root is also supposed to fade dark spots.) Because I am approaching 40, I am interested in an anti-aging nighttime moisturizer. Right now, I am using Cerave nighttime moisturizer, but will probably try something new when it is gone. AHA: Love this stuff. Great price for such a large bottle. I started slowly, mixing some with my moisturizer. Then I tested an inconspicuous spot on my neck. Now I put it straight on my entire face two to three times a week in place of moisturizer. I always wake up with more glowy skin, and it definitely helps with breakouts. Suggestions: I would love to see a moisturizer with SPF' or even a separate SPF that won't cause blemishes. BP and AHA increase sensitivity to the sun, and so it's important to incorporate SPF into a daily routine. I would also love to see more information about mixing skincare products on the site. For instance, I didn't realize retinol and BP used together can actually cancel out the other's effectiveness. Vitamin C, a popular collagen-boosting ingredient in serums, shouldn't be used with AHAs. I am interested in using other anti-aging products that work with acne-fighting products. Finally, I still have large pores on my nose and chin, and some blackheads. I would love to see a blackhead treatment in the acne.org arsenal. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the products, the customer service, and the value of the products. Strongly recommend to anyone battling acne.
