Skin is dry and flaky!
I have had acne for probably 5 years. I'm a sophomore in high school and my acne has turned me into the most antisocial person you'll ever meet, because I'm so embarrassed to be in public where I know all anyone looks at is my skin. I decided to try something new because my proactiv plus just wasn't doing the trick. I had been using it for a long time and still just wasn't consistently clear. I have been using the regimen for almost 3 weeks now and my skin is disgusting. My acne is worse than it was, but that isn't the biggest issue. It is so dry than my face is flaking. It's really embarrassing and uncomfortable. I ordered the jojoba oil yesterday because I heard that might help. I'll post again after seeing if that works!

Patience is the key. I just started my second month and my skin was very dry, dark and disgusiting as well. But the results afterwards is worth it!

I second that. It took 2-3 months for my dryness to clear but man was it ever worth it. Just slather on moisturizer whenever you need it.

Doesn't REALLY help
I don't know about other people, but I know about me. Ive been using this product for a long time. 2-3 month. But nothing happened. I don't have huge acnes, but I have little acnes and sometimes a big one pops out. I do what the regimen says, wash my face, use the product (I don't really use the moisturizer) and do it twice a day. But It didn't really work. My acnes just went down by it self after 3-4 days leaving a red or black mark for a long time (Looks really ugly). And I still have a bunch of small pimples on my fore head. Don't know why every one says it works like magic...

Go to the doctor. The same sort of thing happened to me. The doctor might prescribe you doxycycline.

Wish I never started using this product.
I was DESPERATE. I wanted my acne to be gone for good so I did my research and after trying numerous products (that never seemed to work) I stumbled upon "the regimen". I lasted about a week just researching the product and seeing videos from people who have bought the it; since they were all satisfied and claimed they had amazing results, I went ahead and bought it. It just made my acne worst. I started getting acne in places around my face that I wouldn't normally get. Now I am in no way bashing the product I am just writing this because when i bought the product there seemed to barely ( if any) have any "bad" reviews. Also I am aware that there is a certain way the product should be put on and all that but sadly for me it just didn't work. All in all, some products dont work on everyone and this definitely did not work for me. GOOD LUCK!

This product brings all acne under the skin to the surface before it clears it up! That is what I found happened to my face too! Don't lose hope. You must be persistent for about a month and a half before you start seeing real results and about 4-6 months before your face will be 100% clear! This stuff isn't a one week miracle but it certainly is a miracle is you're patient with it and go through the annoying breakouts and dry skin first!

I experience the same thing. I never had acne around my mouth or on my cheeks and jawline but I've been using the regimen for over 2 months now and it just keeps spreading. It did go away on my forehead and temples but keeps appearing in new places. Still hoping it gets better but it might just be wishful thinking!:/

Great until you stop using it..
Ive used the regimen for 3 moths it cleared all my acne except a few pimples, a week after i ran out i started getting my acne back 2 weeks after i have full blown acne, my advice don't but the cleanser its a waste of money just buy the bp and moisturizer. and if you plan to solve your acne in the long term this isn't the product your looking for.

Didnt work for me
I waited for so long before writing this. I have paid a lot of money to get this to Europe, and I have been using it religiously for the last four months, hoping it can change my life due to the amount of good reviews it has online. Before starting this, I had a couple of pimples per week.. nothing dramatic.. I could not still stand it, so I decided to buy this product. I can say that this is the biggest mistake ive ever made. My face is ten times worse than it was. It's all flaky (and no, it didnt disappear with time), and I have pimples in areas i didnt have them before. In the first two months, i thought it could be an initial breakout or so, but no. This product simply didnt work for me. I wish I never bought it.

it works but super duper dry and flaky

Pros:

it somewhat does get rid of pimples

Cons:

super duper dry
flaky and redness on skin
it burns your face

My sisters and I used this product for a month. I stopped after I notice the dryness. My sister kept on using because she wants to get rid of her pimples. It does works but it is super dry. My sister face becone flaky and red. IIt's like she is having an alergic reaction or it is buring her face reallt badly. I'm feling really bad for her b/c she care about her skin a lot. Now this product make her skin look worst than before. It works but you have to suffer a lot. It is up to you to decide wwhether or not you willing to taake that risk

When you cant use the regimen anymore...

Pros:

works

Cons:

cant use it anymore

I loved the regimen... when I could use it. I used one pump every night for about a year and a half before I developed an allergic reaction to it. My eyes got REALLY swollen and itchy (not the normal redness that occurs at the start of the regimen) I had to stop even though I knew I was going to start breaking out again. That really freaked me out so I started to do some research on alternatives. I've tried a lot of recommended products and some weird cooky homemade remedies as well. My acne is mostly hormonal but what I've found to be most affective should work for any type of breakout. I use Burt's Bees Soap Bark and Chamomile face wash twice a day. I use Aveeno daily moisturizer (using non facial moisturizer scared me at first, but its really about finding what YOUR skin likes) in the morning and wipe my face down with lemon juice (bottled is fine) before bed. When I get a spot break out, I soak it in warm salty water with a cotton swap. I ice it and then I cover it in lemon juice and salt and wait for it to dry. Ive also found aspirin dissolved in witches hazel to be affective for relieving redness. In addition, excersizing really seems to help (which is kind of weird I know haha.) Good luck!!

Not for long run

Pros:

no acne

Cons:

no acne ONLY while using it
your skin never gets a break from all the chemicals
just a short time solution

First of all I want to say, I've been dealing with acne for most of my teen years (I'm 24 now)...since I was 15.....I had REALLY bad acne, so I know how it feels not to want to leave the house and crying in the bathroom over this problem. At 18 I used a product similar to this regiment...helped me a lot....cleared my face 85%...I was really pleased. But acne came back WHEN I STOPPED using it. Cca 2 years (maybe 2.5 ) ago I tried The regiment, my cousin was using it so she ordered some for me to. Same as everybody, redness, itchiness, flaking, and in the end no acne. But when I STOPPED USING, it came back. So, in terms of "does it work", yes, this product DOES get you rid of acne. It's a hard chemical that kills everything on your skin...so it kills bacteria and acne too. So if you want to get rid of acne, sure, this product will help you. BUT... Not good for a long run. Sure it's great to have selfesteem and great skin after using The regiment, but consider the fact that you are putting a harsh chemical on your skin everyday..while in the same time trying to help your skin by using lots of moisturizer. It's like killing a person and then bringing him back to life over and over. And when you stop using it, the acne WILL come back ( lots of people who RECCOMEND this product here also say the same, it comes back ). So you need to ALWAYS be using it. You can't live without it if you want nice skin. So basically, you didn't do anything with this. You didn't cure the problem, your masking it for a while. And to use this chemical everyday for years...boy...i don't wanna know what your skin is gonna look like when you youngsters turn like 30-40.... And me....I completely changed the way I eat. I eat much more fruit and vegetables, occasionally take some vitamins, dink A LOOOOOT of water, work out....and my skin....it's sooo beautiful. It took me a while by doing all this things but it was worth it. I get a few pimples around my period but the go away when that's over. So consider whats good for your skin not just in the moment but for the time to come. Good luck to ya ;)

Pros:

Reduction in acne, definitely. But ultimately realized that this was not going to work for my skin. *currently using pHisoderm clinical, Murad's salicylic acid day and night, clinique dramatically different moisturizer, honey facemask, aloe and tea tree oil at night. I've been using Genuine Health's Perfect Skin supplement with MASSIVE improvements.

Cons:

I traded one skin problem for another. I started slowly, but even with that, I had massive dry patches all over my skin. I would stop for a week, start again slowly, and the chronic dry, irritated, itchy, red, flaking skin would return. I have stopped using benzoyl peroxide, and am using tea tree oil instead; times I DO use benzoyl peroxide, I have burnt patches of skin to deal with, even if I use a small amount. Sensitive skin beware.

Firstly, I was not using the actual Regimen, I was using my own tube of benzoyl peroxide, cetaphil cleanser, and a trusted, non-perfumed, oil-free moisturizer. So these results have been generalized. I believe in general, benzoyl peroxide can be problematic. Beware if you have pale, sensitive skin. This gave me more hyperpigmentation than I've ever had; it's been about 5 months since, and it's JUST starting to go away (along with serious outbreaks).
