The Regimen

Wow, is all I can say! I am so happy I found acne.org. I promised myself that this would be the year that I cleared my acne and found a solution. I was sick of buying new products and being disappointed and frustrated. I used products such as MURAD, Dermalogica, Michael Todd, Garnier, Clearasil, Cetaphil, Spectro, Avene, etc and they never really worked. I also spent about $400.00 on the Clarisonic Mia 2 and the PMD and both showed no results. I have pretty bad acne but wouldn't consider myself a severe case. I have had cystic acne spots but that only happens once in a while for me. My problem is I get hormonal acne that sticks around for a long time...I get spots that are typically on my cheeks and chin that just won't go away and then end up scarring my face. I have really REALLY oily skin as well so that doesn't help. Since I've been on the regimen (it's been 4 weeks) I've noticed a huge difference in the quality of my skin and my breakouts are pretty much gone. I have two little spots right now and a spot right under the skin that won't surface but besides that I am acne free. I am so impressed. I have been on topical treatments too and they didn't give me nearly as great results. I was on retin-A and tactuo. My skin is a little itchy sometimes and I do experience some flakiness but it's not unbearable. My skin use to be super oily but it's more on the normal side of combination skin now. I feel like I can be more confident without makeup and feel beautiful which is something I've struggled with. I feel liberated from acne and I hope it will only get better from here. My pores are easily clogged but since I've started the regimen my pores feel cleaner and way more refined. In the first week the appearance of my pores changed by a lot. They are still in the process of healing on one of my cheeks but I have noticed a big difference and I am thrilled because that was something I thought I could only dream about! I absolutely love Dan's philosophy on acne and love how he started his business off of his own passion towards healing acne and being free of its restraints mentally and emotionally. I can't thank him enough. I like how he doesn't test on animals too and uses organic ingredients. I am an acne.org fan for life and will continue to buy these products, DO NOT STOP MAKING THEM :) I really enjoy the products used in the regimen, even though, some of them do cause a little discomfort as first but you get use to them. I didn't think I would like the cleanser as I tried Cetaphil, Avene, Spectro, etc and didn't feel like they cleaned my skin or did anything (they would make my skin worse) but the regimen's cleanser is really nice and I love that it lathers. 5/5 HANDS DOWN. IF YOU DON'T OWN THESE PRODUCTS, GO GET THEM BECAUSE THEY HONESTLY WORK!! I don't think I've ever heard anyone not like these products that were using them correctly. Make sure you do some research and take the time to do the steps correctly and you will be fine. I have a combination of oily, dry, sensitive skin. I suffered acne since I was 21 yo. I have tried several acne products from over the counter to Dr's prescription. The only thing that really works was a combination of Accutane & acne extraction once a month. After using accutane, my skin was clear & glowing. It was a life saver for me at that time but after 10 months off of accutane, my cystic acne came back. I was put on accutane again, to make my long story short I was put on accutane 3 times but again my acne came back. I tried different prescription capsules though it made me sick but it helps a little bit. Prior to using The Regimen, I saw my Dermatologist to get the prescription and I also visited my Aesthetician 3x for acne extraction but still not much improvement. After reading the reviews about The Regimen, I finally decided to give it a try. I purchased the Regimen Kit and followed the direction precisely ( cleanser, BP & Moisturizer) twice a day. Keep in mind to Start Slow on BP. It is very important. And when in doubt use more. Week 1 I use a pea size of BP and it glides easily & absorbs quickly into my skin. The 2nd day of use, my skin was red, dry and itchy like hell. I would woke up at night finding myself scratching my face. The jaw line was very itchy. Two small pimples came out but goes away in 3 days. Normally my acne lasted longer specially the cystic one would last up to 6 weeks if not longer. My skin starts to dry out so I decided to buy the big kit Plus comes with jojoba oil & AHA. Week 2 I doubled the dosage of BP morning & night. My skin was dry, irritated, flaky, red & itching continues. I got 9 big zits came out but only lasted 4-5,days. I added jojoba oil into my moisturizer to help with the dryness and flakiness. I should of start using the jojoba oil on day 1 of the regimen. I noticed my eyes were red, watery & very sensitive to any lights. I think it got irritated from the BP. I started mixing the jojoba oil & moisturizer and apply it around my eyes & eyebrows.I noticed it did help with my eye irritation but feel the burning in my eyes when Input the BP. The skin on my right face was so red, cracked & flaking. It's hard to put a make up on, it was so caky. It does affect my self esteem but I overcome it by staying positive and I tell my customer that I'm using the Acne Regimen that's why my skin is dry and maybe looks awful:) they don't mind. In the morning, i use the small fan to speed up the drying process since I have to be at work at 7:45. Week 3 Increase the dosage of BP. Skin is still dry but cracked looking is gone. Redness is less and still finding myself scratching. Skin feels tight & dry. Flaking everywhere. Four new zits came out. They're big & painful. I can't wait for them to turn yellow so I can pop them. Yes, I pop my zit & it helps with the healing process. You have to be very extra careful when popping your zit. You don't want it to get infected & spreading the bacteria in your face. These big zits lasted for 7 days. Week 4 Maintain the same dosage of BP. Skin is clear, but still dry & flaky. The itching is less. Got 2 big zit under the skin, it was painful. I put more BP on this troubled area and it helps to shrink the size but didn't completely disappear in 7 days. Overall skin is more clear. Old acne scars are visible. Week 5 - 7 I use the same amount of BP. Skin is less dry. Redness & itchiness are gone. The 2 big zit under the skin on week 4 are completely gone. I applied 1/2 AHA+ 1/2 moisturizer into my night regimen twice a week. The AHA stings my skin but it wasn't too bad. On week 6, I started to use AHA alone once a week and I love it. It exfoliate my skin and get rid off the dry skin and peeling. My skin is clear. I would get a pimple or 2 around my period but they're gone in 3 days. So far I am happy with the result. I am glad I tried the Regimen and I am committed to continue using the regimen because it does work for me. You just have to be patience and pass those worst weeks because in the end you'll be smiling like me. If you're struggling with acne, give it a try and follow the regimen precisely. I am a 33 year old female and ever since college I have struggled with acne. It started with the cystic kind and more recently I was just plauged by angry breakouts at least once a week. I tried proactive, Obagi, using a clairsonic, etc and have never been able to really cure my problems. I found "the regimen" online and based on the glowing reviews thought I would give it a try. Even before I received the products I started using the process of gently washing my face and even doing that seemed to help. I started using the regimen in late June and right now it is November and quite literally I have never been happier with my skin. Within a week my skin was less angry and even though I may occasionally get a blemish now (which is rare - my skin is clear - blackheads are gone - skin is not red, etc) it is mild and clears up within a day or two. After the first month of use, I added the AHA and REALLY like this product. I do also use the jojoba oil and would absolutely recommend that. I can't say enough about what the regimen has done for my life. My skin feels great to the touch and I have so much confidence I can even leave the house without makeup on and I don't feel bad at all. GIVE THIS A TRY!!

Words cant describe how happy I am with these products. My skin is HIGHLY sensitive and it has always rejected any product I use. I began having issues with acne when I was about 15 and it got really bad when I reached my late teens and by the time I was 20 it was so bad that trying to cover it up with makeup made it even uglier. I've tried a lot of different skin products; from drugstore to high-end products, birth control, facials, peels, and nothing worked. I was doing some research online and I stumbled upon acne.org and noticed they had their own line. I was a little apprehensive about buying the kit because I thought it was going to be like everything else.... Im so glad I was wrong! Everything is so gentle on my skin and it has cleared it completely in just a few months. In the beginning it was a little tough because the benzoyl peroxide treatment was very drying and my skin became a bit flakey but out of the blue all the acne was gone! Aside from the products being amazing, Dan's explanation of what causes acne and how we should treat it changed my whole perspective on how I should be treating my skin. I honestly cant thank this company enough for creating such a simple but effective line of products.... I finally have my skin back! Thank you!

I am 27 years old and have been suffering from acne and the resulting scars for about fifteen years. It's only gotten worse as I've gotten older, which sucks as someone attempting to look professional. A combination of the acne.org Regimen and mineral makeup have made a huge difference in my life. My medication history: In high school, I went on birth control and it made my skin look like that of a beautiful newborn baby. So smooth and perfect. A few months after going off of birth control (mood swings and weight gain were killer), the acne came back. Badly. I went on antibiotics in college and they worked great the first time around, but the idea of being on antibiotics for so long made me uncomfortable so I ditched them after a year. Again, acne returned in full force. The next year, I went back on the same antibiotics and they didn't work at all. I then went to a dermatologist and was prescribed a 10% benzoyl peroxide wash as well as an insanely expensive cream to use 2x a day, which I used as directed and it barely worked. After that, I gave up for awhile and just washed my face with whatever salicylic acid product I had lying around. Obviously that didn't do much. About a year ago I bought the acne.org Regimen for the first time and it has worked better than everything else besides the oral medication which I'd rather stay away from. I'm giving the Regimen a 5/5 because it works pretty well for me and I don't use it EXACTLY as directed all the time. There are nights I just don't feel like slathering tons of cream on my face in front of my boyfriend, if you get my drift. And there are mornings I'm in too much of a hurry to wait for all of the products to dry, so I only apply the lotion. As a woman, I'm also able to conceal 95% of my acne with makeup, aided by the acne.org lotion which works really well as a base on which to evenly distribute my foundation (I use Bare Minerals). Again, I don't use this product exactly as directly, but even so I have been very satisfied by the results in combination with a good mineral makeup.

I'm 16 and have had bad acne since 6th grade year. Sometimes my acne was so bad it looked like I'd thrown a rock into a hornets' nest, with a professional baseball player's swing. So, lil' 11 year ole me just thought I'd put some concealer on my face, but when that didn't work, I started to feel a little ugly and out of place. Seventh grade rolled around and my confidence had plummeted. I hated going out into public, or to a friend's house. I doubted the products power. I had tried so many things, I thought, why would this work? Not even magic in a bottle could cure this mess! But, with the last of my ragged hope, I ordered it anyway. Best decision of my life! Within a week my skin looked airbrushed! It was smooth, clean and cool. I've been using this product for 3 months now and my skin (not to mention me) has been the healthiest it has ever been. The red, irritated inflammation has vanished. I've never felt so beautiful!

Let me be clear: The Regimen WILL clear your skin. Do it EXACTLY as outlined, and it WILL clear your skin. I owe it to Dan (who founded this site, along with The Regimen) to come back and write this review. I started using his products as outlined in The Regimen in May 2008 and it changed my life. I was 23 and had tried seemingly every over-the-counter and prescription drug available. When I first came across this site I ignored it because The Regimen seemed to promote Benzoyl Peroxide, a topical drug I had already used many times. I thought "this may work for people with light acne, but BP is a basic drug, and I need something more powerful." But guess what? I was wrong. I soon realized that although I had already used Benzoyl Peroxide before, I had never used it in a way that can totally eliminate your acne. The Regimen will do that. I started to notice an immediate improvement when I used it. Still, it took a while to clear my skin. I had a few depressing setbacks and I wasn't completely clear until 4 months later. But from that point on I've been just about 100% clear. It's been 5 years of clear skin. If you do this regimen as outlined, and give it 4 months to work, you'll experience completely clear skin. Most people are totally clear before 4 months, but within that time period it will definitely work. It's been demonstrated scientifically and by thousands upon thousands of people. I'm one of them. But I can't tell you how annoyed I get by people who say this stuff doesn't work when THEY DON'T USE IT AS DIRECTED! You can't just use a product however you want and then claim it doesn't work. Use it exactly as Dan says and your skin will clear. It's as simple as that. As for the products themselves, I have always used the official Acne.org products, which are easily the best on the market. They're pharmaceutical grade and designed specifically for The Regimen. Much higher quality than what I've used before, including prescription products. Use as directed and I can absolutely guarantee you won't be disappointed. I owe it to Dan and to all of you to come back here and share this experience. Please, please, please give it a try and use as directed. You won't regret it.

I started using the regimen one year ago. Within 6 weeks my face was completely clear. After a few months I bought the AHA+, which allowed me to only perform the regimen once a day. This worked for a few months but then my skin was not perfectly clear so I had to go back to twice a day. Recently, I ran out of the products for about a month and my skin is not looking good right now. After a week of being back on the regimen, my face is looking better and I know it will bd back to perfect soon!

I am 30 and have struggled with acne since my early twenties. Even though I have acne, my skin is normal to dry. I started to use the Regimen about a month ago with drug store products. Formulation wise, they weren't very elegant and left a white cast on my skin. I started to use Dan's products about a week into the Regimen, and wow!, what a difference! The texture of every product make them easy to spread and absorb. The cleanser is super gentle. The BP leaves no white cast, so it is easy to use the recommended dose. I also found that it wasn't as irritating as the BP cream I was using. I love the Jojoba Oil and AHA+, they really smooth my skin out and combat any flakes caused by the BP. Finally the moisturizer is highly moisturizing and a little on the rich side. I have normal, not oily, skin and so I like that. I mix it with the Jojoba Oil to give my skin extra hydration; I haven't had any problems with flakes because of it. I highly recommend the Regimen to anyone struggling with acne, but especially do it with Dan's products because of the quality and elegance of the formulations.
