I'm so happy omg
Sorry this is so long. I've gone through so many forums and looked for advice for so long, and I've seen a lot of people saying not to try tea tree oil because it'll destroy your skin??? So I was really scared to try tea tree oil at first. BUT I tried tea tree oil a few days ago and I already love it. I tried using it as a spot treatment the first night and when I woke up, the spot was dried out and already going down. I've started using a little bit all over my face when I get out of the shower and my skin is still a little wet. Then I use coconut oil as a moisturizer, especially because tea tree oil can kind of dry your skin out in unwanted places. I love the fresh feeling the tea tree oil gives my skin and I love it even more because it has a very earthy kind of smell. I struggle with mild hormonal acne, but I unfortunately also struggle with cystic acne (which may also be hormonal related, but I'm not entirely sure). I had just one cyst on my cheek and I used a little bit of tea tree oil on it and it's nearly flat. I should probably also mention that I've been put on minocycline in attempt to reduce the bacteria and get everything under control- mainly for the cystic acne because it was so severe and painful. I think it's worked pretty alright, but I feel like my routine is really what's been giving me good results. I think I'll always struggle with at least mild acne, but I feel a lot more confident now. I also feel a lot better about getting taken off the medication because I have a set routine now.

Severe acne: Don't use
If you have moderate to severe acne, or in my case, cystic acne, don't waste your money. The first few days I tried it, it maybe dried my acne up a little, but only the surface. It does not get deep down like I need it to. I will continue to use it as temporary relief because it slightly reduces redness.

Pros:

Works fast, brightens complexion, Smells refreshing (to me at least :)

I picked up some tea tree oil at a local organic grocery store about a week ago because I heard about the healing power it had on the face. I'm completely satisfied, as it works wonders for my skin. I usually have extremely dry skin (I was a former proactive user, and that made it worse). With tea tree oil, my skin doesen't dry out (as long as I put a moisturizer on aferwards, and even sometimes, i'll ad a few drops of tea tree oil to my moisturizer just to give it an extra boost. Don't waste your money on proactive, or other "miracle" acne products. This is the real deal, and will clear your skin!

Pros:

I love tea tree oil! I'm 47 yrs old, started breaking out severely, and have been using tea tree for a little over a week. My skin is clear.

Cons:

No cons. The smell is great, refreshing. It does dry my skin a little, but I add extra tea tree and vitamin e antibacterial cream to help moisturize.

I was beginning to get desperate. I had tried everything, and then read the reviews of tea tree here. I went to the health food store, purchased tea tree soap, tea tree oil and the tea tree/vitamin e cream. My skin looks great, it didn't cost me a fortune, and I have my confidence back.

Works perfectly!
My skin is fairly good, but sometimes I get pimples. Even though, the smell of the oil is quite strong, it makes pimples disappear in 3-6 days for me. Of course, everyone's skin is different, as all the reviews thus far prove, but it's worth a shot. P.S. Don't use the oil in large quantities, especially near your eyes or all over your face! The oil is very strong so it may cause redness, itching, and blistering. Be careful!

Decent Spot Treatment, but be careful.
I have used this before as a spot treatment. I get a Q-tip, wet it and then add a few drops and apply it to spots. I think it works pretty well, but I haven't noticed it to be any more effective than the Benzoyl Peroxide spot treatment that I use. I use the JASON brand, which is 100%. I have also tried this all over my face several ways and it was awful. I tried adding a few drops into a DIY toner as well as a DIY cleanser when I was experimenting with different natural remedies. It always made my face feel so tight and dry and irritated no matter how diluted it was or how few drops I added. I don't even have sensitive skin, but this just doesn't work well with me when applied to my whole face. If you are going to try this, start with a spot treatment before trying it on your whole face.

Life Saver!!!
Hi Guys, If you haven't already you should seriously give 100% Tea Tree Oil a go. It may not work for everyone but it worked for me. After never having a problem with Acne until 2 years ago (I'm 28 now) I spent a bucket load of money on prescription tablets, ointments, over the counter ointments, Micros, expensive skin care ect. Some things worked for a couple of weeks and then it went back to chaos. At the moment I'm using a chemist brand every day cleanser (not a cleanser for oily skin), I put about 15 drops of tea tree oil in with it and use it twice a day. You can also use an undiluted drop as a spot treatment. It goes away completely within 24 hours and a dramatic difference just in 12 hours. If you struggle with ingrown hairs you can mix 50/50 Olive Oil to Tea Tree oil and apply twice a day and it completely clears and prevents ingrown hairs. AND it's SO CHEAP!! $6 for a bottle at the chemist. Life saver!!!

Pros:

Did help prevent new acne, (cysts)
helps control break-outs,
leaves skin soft,
non-irritating,
didn't break me out

Cons:

Smells a little funky but goes away,
potentially drying when not diluted,
not a cure all

Tea Tree Oil works like BP but is less irritating especially when diluted. I use 3/4 Tea Tree, 1/4 Olive Oil as a toner/moisturizer. I haven't found a reason to stop as it's never caused me to break out or been drying in any way. It leaves my skin very soft. Smells pretty bad but whathe smell goes away as it dries. Definitely something that should be paired together with another acne treatment. I really like it because it brings the severity of my acne down to a type that I can control more easily with other products. Tea Tree Oil also kills bacteria on the skin and helps the acne from spreading.

Pros:

-Works great! Gets rid of a new pimple in 1-3 days (depending on size and severity).
- Decreases redness within an hour.
-Makes scars less noticable
-Not overly drying
-The natural smell is refreshing and wakes you up in the morning.
-Inexpensive

Cons:

Doesn't prevent pimples from coming.

YES. This is a wonderful product and works great to remove pimples. I have the roll-on kind. I use in with a dab of 10% benzoil peroxide over my whole face, then roll on the tea tree oil on every pimple. When I wake up in the morning 50% of my pimples are gone. I really really recommend this product.

Pros:

- I could see a difference in a couple of days
- It dries out pimples VERY fast
- Stops my skin from getting too oily wihout leaving it too dry

Cons:

- Slightly stings

Within the first week I noticed that the deep pimples on my chin were getting smaller and the redness was slowly disappearing. Although, a couple of days after the first week I had a breakout around my mouth. I'm still not sure whether it was from the cleanser I was using (clean&clear advantage pimple control cleanser) or if it was the tea tree oil.
