Tea tree oil is defined by international standard ISO 4730 (2004) (“Oil of Melaleuca, Terpinen-4-ol type”), which specifies levels of 15 components, which are needed to define the oil as “tea tree oil.”

Among over 98 compounds contained in the oil, terpinen-4-ol is responsible for most of the antimicrobial activity.

Pros:

Pros:

-kills bacteria
-makes ur acne less red

Cons:

-smell might be a bit strong for most ppl
-dries ur skin out

IMO this works alot better than the other over-the-counter acne products since its alot more natural and affordable. i'm currently using the bodyshop tea tree oil products (the oil itself, the foam cleanser, and the exfoliant). when i use the exfoilant, i usually mix it with an apricot srub (since the exfoliant itself didnt seem to really... exfoliate)

Pros:

I think it smells really good, feels incredibly clean, makes my skin the softest its ever been. Definitely improves skin quality and reduces acne

Cons:

None, really

I bought this from a store in Kohler, Wisconsin. It's organic tea tree soap made by Ord River, and I have only found it available on one website, and its really cheap. I paid 3.50 for my bar and its quite a big bar too. Makes my skin incredibly smooth and soft, I couldn't imagine being without it!

Pros:

Its affordable and I feel like it is working fast. I wanted to tell others that I have found something new for acne. It is called HIBICLENS; it contains Chlorhexidine used in surgical procedures and as a surgical wash, it kills microbials on the skin

Cons:

the same as tea tree oil does. You can buy HIBICLENS at CVS, Rite Aid or walgreens in the band aid aisle in a tourqouis bottle for like 10 bucks. I even was my chest and shoulders in it.

Try it, it is worth a try! Acne is caused by the bacteria on the skin so HIBICLENS should kill it.

Pros:

good for using as a mouthwash not acne

Cons:

-generated the worst breakout ever
-clogged pores
-causes acne inflammation

i tried this stuff reading all the good reviews online. i bought the 100% pure tea tree oil from amazon. so i diluted it 3/1 ratio of oil and water because this is a potent oil. it will literally burn your nose hairs off. anyway, i decided to spot treat on a couple of pimples that were premature and underdeveloped. in just a few hours, it literally transformed my zits into monsters..big, painful, red, inflamed, infected and embarrassing. it didn't even come to a head until i put NEOSPORIN on them. that was a lot of fun popping those beasts :( it's been a week and i'm now coping with the aftermath. to be honest, it could be looking a lot worse. i'm very grateful to come across neosporin (cream). it definitely helped expediting the healing process. what did i learn here? tto did not work for me because i'm sensitive to putting on oil pore clogging substance on my FACE.

Pros:

clears skin up, makes skin feel soft and smooth, relives redness, is a better antibacterial product than any other I have tried, dries up pimples fast, if you have a scab on your face from where you have picked at a pimple it help it heal faster.

Cons:

Smells really strong and foul, the smell will stay with you for maybe an hour after you use it. burns slightly.

This product is great. What I do is I take my face wash, which contains green tea and witch hazel, and put some on my hands, just enough that you need to wash your face, and then I add just one drop of TTO then I mix them together and apply to my face and wash, when I am done washing my face I tone it then moisturize it with an oil free moisturizer. it works so great just after the first time I used TTO I saw imedent results. my skin was so much smoother and softer and the acne quickly dried up. I use TTO twice a day one in the morning when i wash my face and at night when i wash my face. yeah the smell is strong but it is well worth it.
