Pros:

reduces pustules within a few days

Cons:

burns, dries out skin

Tea tree oil has helped me reduce the number of pimples, but it's not completely getting rid of it. Plus, I've gotten a boil when I was using tea tree oil. Maybe I need to use it a little longer. Although, I'm not sure if it was worth the $7 for a 1-ounce vial.

Pros:

Dries out acne

Cons:

Causes migraines. Releases estrogen. Causes breast growth in boys.

I really liked this stuff until I started getting massive & unmanageable migraines 3 weeks into using it. (I rarely, if EVER, get headaches). Then my breasts started to become very sore, so I thought I should look up the side affects. Lo & behold, studies have shown that Tea Tree Oil releases estrogen into the body. This would explain the hormonal headaches & breast tenderness. I stopped using it yesterday. Hopefully my hormones will adjust themselves quickly! Scary. Do not use.

Pros:

best for shampoo and body ACNE

Cons:

none...when you hae acne your need to drain your skin of oil

I recently found a great chemical free tea tree shampoo ' which really helped me grow stronger hair 'its from the Made from Earth product line called the Tea & Protein Herbal Shampoo'.it actiallu has wheat proteins in it and that's what makes my hair look so full after I use it. The directions say for the shampoo to work ' you have to leave in your hair for 2 - but I usually do it for about 5, since my hair used to be so thin. But 5 minutes really works for me cause I can see a major difference in how thick my hair is' Even my husband comments on how my hair felt better ' and he never notices anything! I recommend it for all healthy women out there who want better full hair.

Pros:

Dries up current acne, evens out skin tone and it is really, really cheap! I'm going to add the smell to my pros section, too... my pillow smells like tea tree oil from applying it at night and it helps me go to sleep.

Cons:

Some people complain about the smell, but I actually like it. It's a tad strong but you get used to it.

It can sting a little bit when you first apply it, but the stinging goes away very quickly.

I really love it. If you're at a complete loss as to what to try next and you haven't given tea tree oil a go, just do it. I have to agree with a review I read on here; much better than slathering your face in chemicals that usually don't work. Definitely a plus to have it around for other purposes, too! You can use it for cuts, scrapes, bug bites and also boils. Even if you don't use it for your acne, keep some in your medicine cupboard, it is VERY handy.

Pros:

Tea tree is natural and antibacterial, great cos its dries your spots out and heals them quicker. Affordable, and some places sell it cheaper than others.

Cons:

Strong smelling, can sting too.

Dab on spots before bed and wash it off in the morning so you dont smell weird. Handy small bottles so you can keep one in your bag/desk to dab on any bad breakouts every few hours.

Pros:

It worked almost over night. Great alternative to other treatments not compatible with pregnancy.

Cons:

The smell. My husband and I find it hard to fall asleep because the smell keeps us up.

I have battled with acne since I was 10 and I am almost 22. I have tried almost every OTC and prescription but most are contraindicated in pregnancy. Tea tree oil was reccommended to me by my OB and I will never use anything else. I wish I would have found this stuff earlier. It would have made middle school and high school a lot easier :) !!!

Pros:

It feels great on my skin. It leaves it soft. It gives me confidence so that in the morning, I'm going to see results.

Cons:

None so far.

It's priced perfect. I found my soap at Dollar General. It smells great. Leaves skin soft, and touchable. :]

Pros:

Might be good as a preventative face wash when heavily diluted. Seems to work for others.

Cons:

In a matter of days it transformed my cysts and papules into whiteheads, and then back into regular looking acne, where they remained for the usual length of time.

I was using it as a spot treatment for my mild/moderate cystic acne - not expecting miracle results, but at least to have some effect, maybe speed up the healing or ease inflammation. Applied undiluted with a cotton swab twice a day for 6 days, didn't change anything.
