Among over 98 compounds contained in the oil, terpinen-4-ol is responsible for most of the antimicrobial activity.

Pros:

I'd put just a dab on a pimple before going to bed, the next day...it was gone! It really works. Didn't really dry out skin.

Cons:

Strong smell, but you'll forget about it once you've gotten your results.

It's awesome, it's a lot faster than the others, cheap, and natural.

Pros:

Natural, ACTUALLY works, doesn't age skin like BP does! or cause further scarring like BP does! Doesn't cause swelling like BP does!
Helps with itchiness and minimizes pores, kills bacteriea, reduces oil,
smells better then most drugstore produ

Cons:

You have to figure out yourself how much to dillute as it's different for all, but then again that could also be a pro as the drugstore crap desides for us and treats all as if we are the same and that's not realistic at all.

TRY it!!! I wish I did a long time ago. Saved myself some scarring and the emotional and physical agony!

Pros:

- Will dry out pimples overnight. Reduced approx 60%.
- Helps remove dead skin by drying out dead skin cells.
- Will effectively kill bacteria on the surface.

Cons:

- Will make skin red and irritable for an hour if used excessively.
- For 25ml, you will expect to pay approx $12.

You MUST use 100% natural strength Tea Tree Oil. Please do not use too much, it is meant for individual pimples only due to its potency, although if you gently apply a little on you whole face, it should still be fine espeically if you mix it with something gentle, like a non-comedogenic moisturiser or aloe vera. It is natures Benzoyl Peroxide! Serious. So it will sting like hell if your skin is not used to it. The best time to apply it is a couple of seconds after you dry yourself off after your shower. That way, your pores will still be a little open, and the tea tree oil can seep in to do its job. (This is the same for ALL acne treatments...You want your pores to be open during....then closed after you finish the treatment). Remember, it should not be your only acne treatment. The tea tree should be the final thing you apply, unless you put on make-up (which I suggest you don't do too much of). Never BUY any product that doesn't say NON-COMEDOGENIC & don't use anything with alcohol!

Pros:

Cheap, I personally like the smell, works.

Cons:

Burns sometimes

Works for blemishes. Doesn't cause drying of the skin like most acne spot treatments. However, don't use this on a recently popped pimple/broken irritated skin. Burns so much and leaves a nasty scar.

Pros:

It's natural and effective. When I'm getting a zit the size is much smaller now ... verses the HUGE ones I typically get.

Cons:

None

I've been using it for a few weeks now, and haven't had to use any other spot treatment. It may not work for everyone, but I think it's well worth a shot for the price.

Pros:

Seems to be working so far.
I refuse to put BP or SA (or any other harsh products) on my skin after living with very dark red scars on my face for years as a result of using those products. TTO seems more promising..

Cons:

Smell. Acutally starting to like it now but initially was very turned off.

I've only been using TTO for a short period of time but it seems to be very effective at reducing the appearance of pimples and possibly even preventing them (haven't had a new one yet and I usually wake up with a new one daily). It does dry out the skin, especially around the area where the lesion is located. Red marks are much lighter than when treating with BP and I am hopeful that they will disappear faster as well. Currently, I dampen a cotton ball with lukewarm water and add 3-4 drops of 100% TTO and go over the problem areas once a day. I wait for it to dry and then apply an oil-free lotion. I have very sensitive and dry skin and it's winter so I'm also trying out dime-sized Cetaphil Moisturizer + 2 drops TTO on an area of my forehead to see if it is effective at keeping my acne at bay as well as moisturizing enough for my skin. I am praying that this stuff will continue to work for me as I am very saddened by the effects of BP and SA on my face. Will keep p
