I like it, but...
I can't honestly say that it ever improved my acne. I guess it depends on what's causing your acne. I'm one of those people who loves the smell of tea tree oil for some reason, and I believe its benefits to the skin when I read them on paper -- it makes sense. I mix a few drops of this into the hemp oil that I use on my skin as an overnight moisturizer because I think it helps to counter the oiliness of the... oil. Tea Tree Oil is one of those things that I've used on and off for about 10 years, but only as a supplement to something else. It's a decent supplement, but on its own it's not capable of a whole lot. In my experience. It never harmed my skin at all so I can't say it's not worth trying.

Still new to this product, but very happy so far

Pros:

clears and tightens pores
brings pimples to a head quickly
leaves skin feeling smoother and healthier

Cons:

strong smell
irritating/drying for a bit after application

I have tried several topical creams and oral antibiotics over the years with little to no significant improvement in controlling my acne. I started a natural approach to prevention and treatment and one of the components of that has been trying tea tree oil for topical treatment. I am very satisfied with the condition of my skin after about two weeks of this product. I have not had any major breakouts, and the ones I had, have been clearing up nicely with no scarring. My skin feels smoother and healthier. I have no idea whether or not this product is my miracle solution, but so far it's been a great alternative to expensive creams. I know that in studies it has been compared to the effectiveness of 5% salicylic acid but I personally think it's easier on the skin and more effective so far.

No

Pros:

Works for some

Cons:

Broke me out
Lemon juice works better

This works for some people, but those of us who reacted badly, or just didn't help at all and are desperate try neem oil. works better. or epsom salt mixed with honey or even sandalwood powder and make a paste.

Pros:

All natural
Not expensive
Lots of uses
Refreshing
(I liked the smell)

Cons:

My boyfriend and family could not handle the smell. Load of complaints.
Didn't work

It didn't work for me. It gave me lots of new pimples. It will bring deep painful blemishes to the surface. I mixed it half and half with witch hazel and used it as an astringent. I gave up on after 4 months because my mom and boyfriend complained so much.

Pros:

-Dries up pimples
-My mom said my face looks clearer...hope she didn't jink that!
-Easy to apply for me.
-One drop will work for your whole face!
LISTENING TO KISS YOU INSIDE OUT ONCE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cons:

-Smells a bit bad for me but because it's all natural I don't mind it! :>)

I am using Thursday Plantation ALL NATURAL tea tree oil and it has almost been a week and there are small results bit by bit, but it takes 2 weeks for any product for your health and body to work so you'll have to be patient... Check out The Outsiders book and the movie and trust me ladies, you will fall in love with Sodapop Curtis...so hot!!!!!!!!

Pros:

I liked the smell (some don't!)
It makes your skin feel fresh
Antiseptic

Cons:

Very little effect on spots
The smell, it is quite strong and stings eyes like crazy!

I'm an 18 year old girl and have been suffering from acne since I was 12. After a breakthrough on roaccutane when i was 14/15, i've seen over the last few years a gradual increase in my acne, though nothing like before i went on accutane. Previously I had tried 6 different prescribed doctors products, clearasil, pro-activ, clean and clear, 10% benzoyl peroxide (left me with a rash and perioral dermatitis)... you name it, I tried it and it failed. Anyway, the bottom line about tea tree oil is that I usually use it on weeping spots because of the antiseptic qualities it has. I can honestly tell you that someone who has experienced severe acne that with persistent spots, tea tree oil is not the one. It may work for those with light spots- but then, does that really count as acne? Personally I'm a believer in what goes in, shows on the outside. Before anyone can expect miracle results, you need to start taking care of your diet! (Currently i'm on multivitamins, iron, cod liver oil and cranberry tablets.)

Pros:

-One of the most effective spot treatment
-Shrinks pimples
-Works really fast (you can see a difference in 30 mins for new spots!)
-Cheap if you buy it online, like on ebay. $10 is for 100ml!

Cons:

-Your acne can become resistant
-Drying
-Doesn't PREVENT acne...
-The smell

Used to use tea tree oil toner from the body shop, it worked for a few months then I'm guessing my acne became resistant, so I stopped. That was 2 years ago. Now, I use 100% tea tree oil as a spot treatment just 2-3 times per day, but only when necessary! I'm hoping that if I use it at full strength and only on individual pimples, my acne won't become resistant... It can be drying, but I have oily skin and haven't had any problems yet, if you have dry or sensitive skin I would be more careful.

Pros:

Acne shrinks quickly
works quickly

Cons:

the smell is over whelming sometimes
can dry out sensitive skin
not everywhere carries it

I had acne sense 12 I am almost 20. For a while basic creams (oxy clean) helped but recently only tea tree oil has. The smell is the only thing that really bothers me. It also works wonders on any irritated piercings. I use this with Doctor Bronners soap and they both have helped, Doctor Bronners is great for sensitive skin, like mine, but the tea tree oil will dry you out and can itch sometimes, so try diluting it.
