Tea tree oil is defined by international standard ISO 4730 (2004) (“Oil of Melaleuca, Terpinen-4-ol type”), which specifies levels of 15 components, which are needed to define the oil as “tea tree oil.”

Among over 98 compounds contained in the oil, terpinen-4-ol is responsible for most of the antimicrobial activity.

Very good, not miraculous.
It's very good, not miraculous, but works well on my mild/moderate acne. (Better than benzoyl peroxide, that's saying something). I apply it directly on my skin, but do a patch test, better to be safe than sorry.

Jusr doesn't work for me
I don't know why but this oil never works for me. I have stubborn acne and tea tree oil just doesn't do anything. Not for everyone I guess. Can't stand the smell either

Amazing!!
I use tea trea oil on my whiteheads and it works wonders. It gets rid of all of my whiteheads in a couple hours I absolutely love it. But it doesn't do anything for regular pimples and my hyper pigmentation but I would recommend it for whiteheads

Doesn't work for me
Im using this product for the last 2 weeks and have no progress.. in the first week i used it diluting with organic virgin coconut oil, didn't help so i started using directly.. still no use, my pimples don't get reduces, scars haven't gotten better, and new ones keep coming.. I'm at a loss of what to do now, I heard good things about TTO so i thought something can finally help me but didn't work.

My Clear Skin Secret

Pros:

Doesn't dry out my skin
Clears up my acne faster than ANYTHING I've ever tried
Brings pimples to a head

Cons:

Stings a little bit
Has a smell (I like it, but a lot of people don't)
Expensive for a small bottle (10$ for one fl ounce)

Tea tree oil gets rid of pimples the best and the fastest out of all the products I've ever tried. I have combination skin, so parts of it gets really dry, and some really oily. It doesn't bother the dry parts or the oily parts, which is the reason why I stopped using BP. What I do is use the tea tree oil as a spot treatment after I wash my face. It works like magic and my pimples will disappear within a night or two. Tea tree oil is also my emergency product I use to clear my skin before a big event.

Not terrible or brilliant

Pros:

Made skin feel clean
Inexpensive

Cons:

Strong smell
Not very effective

I found it made very little difference to my comedonal acne/ clogged pores that I was trying to target. I used it for around 3 months with not much noticeable difference. It didn't help my acne, but it didn't make it worse either

Pros:

Dried up pimples quickly
Natural product
Cheap and effective

Cons:

Smelly
Crusty skin

I love using natural products. Before I started the regimen I used tea tree oil day and night to dry up breakouts. It worked but dried it too much in the end. The best natural product I have found for my acne though.

Pros:

I used this product for cold sores for a very long time. At the first hint of one appearing, that little tingly feeling, I'd just dab on the TTO every couple of hours and it would go away. I haven't had an actual cold sore for years.

I'm just trying it for acne now. But since I've had great results for cold sores I'm thinking it should work.

Cons:

- It's smell can be overpowering.

- The slight sting (for some people)

If it doesn't work for your acne you can use it for other things (like cold sores, for example) so your money isn't wasted.

Pros:

Healthy for skin. Prevents acne similar to BP.
When used in conjunction with other products can be very effective.

Cons:

Not great as spot treatment.

I mix lots of this with Spectro's moisturizer for blemish prone skin (great moisturizer which contains salicylic acid) and it works for me just as well, if not better than BP. Benzyl peroxide can be very damaging to skin long term. It produces radicals which, much like harmful sun rays, can cause premature aging. Check out my review on Spectro's cleanser as that also contributes to my clear skin.
