Pros:

Smoother completion
Tighter pores

Cons:

Makes skin sensitive
Burns a bit upon application

I don't generally get pimples, but my derm prescribed me this a year ago for oil control. However, I stopped using it after my first tube ran out because it became ineffective after using it for a couple months. A week ago I decided to go pick up the second tube in my prescription since i was getting desperate for a solution for my huge pores (which wasn't as big of an issue when I first used this product). I have only been using it a week, about 2-3 times a day, but the pores on my cheeks have already decreased in size SO much. With a bit of makeup, they're hardly even noticeable anymore. I still have to blot the oil off of my face every few hours as well as having to deal with flaky skin around my mouth, but id rather have that than the awful texture i had before! I'm really hoping it continues to work as well as it is, because for the first time in ages i can actually look in the mirror and be happy with what i see.

Pros:

I saw changes within the first 2 days of use, many of my pimples were less red and smaller. I've been using it for 2 weeks now and I love that I'm seeing changes already.

Cons:

My whole face is peeling like crazy but now it's only my lower face (where my acne was the worst). It burns when I apply and even after, it has been so tight that I can't sleep.

I'm using NeoStrada Oil Free Gel Cleanser twice a day. In the morning I'm using Neostrada 8% Toning Solution mixed with 2% Clindamycin...then before bed, I'm using Stievamycin Forte 0.05%. I'm 31 years old and I've always had problems with acne. I'm loving this product so far. I have lots of acne scars and I'm hoping to see a difference with those as well (as I've read on this website). I strongly recommend this product to anyone that doesn't seem to find results in any other products they've tried.

Pros:

Works moderately well. Progress is slow, but noticeable. Does not irritate skin or cause any itch or pain. Doesn't leave skin feeling oily the next morning like clindoxyl gel, the other product I tried. Quite cheap.

Cons:

Dries out skin, but an average moisturizer fixes that easily enough.

You must use it constantly to avoid setbacks. Works better than clindoxyl gel. Progress isn't what I hoped for, though. Still not close to getting rid of my acne altogether.

Pros:

clears up skin pretty well

Cons:

takes a while to work. burning, redness, dryness and peeling may occur while using it, but is not severe.

must use consistently. don't use cover up or any other moisturizers or skin products on affected area(s). this makes skin worse and makes progress slower. (says on instructions)

Pros:

- Gets rid of your acne!!
- Use at bedtime so you don't have to walk around with gel all over your face :P
- Clear gel so you can't see it on your face

Cons:

- Makes your skin dry and occasionally flaky
- Sometimes burns (I only found that it burned in the first month after that it never hurt my face)
- Makes your acne worse before it gets better

This product actually works!! It takes a while to see results though so hang in there. To get rid of the flakes use a gentle exfoliate no more than three times a week because if you over use it, the exfoliate could irritate your skin more. If you don't have one use baking soda and put a small amount into your daily cleanser because that works just as good, maybe even better than a regular exfoliant. Make sure to wait the 30 minutes after washing your face to put it on because it does make a difference. Also use a really good oil-free moisturizer, I use the new Day and Night moisturizer from Clean and Clear and they work SO well. I've used this product for like 3 months now and I'm acne free. Good luck!

Pros:

minimizes acne in 1 application
paid by insurance

Cons:

doesn't wash off easily

I have been using this product for a week. I asked my doctor to prescribe me this after reading the reviews here. He gave me regular strength and it works very well. I don't have any burning feeling at all. I burn more with OTC pimple clearing gel like clean & clear blemish treatment. It peels off but it's not that ugly. I get a breakout at night , i apply it the same night and by morning my pimple is smaller and not painful. I am using this product along with minocyn antibiotics. My pharmacist says that my face will get worse before it gets better. The fact that i have Stievamycin to make the breakouts less painful is awesome. I'll be waiting for a month to see how well it works together.

Pros:

-Works really well; clears up acne, as it should.
-Does NOT hurt if used PROPERLY! Read the instructions, and DO NOT apply TOO HEAVILY!
-Is easy to apply, dries quick; best if used BEFORE BED!

Cons:

-Dries out the skin.
-Skin seems to become dependent upon it after extended periods of time.
-Doesn't start to work immediately, but time does help (and patience is of the essence!)

(DO NOT APPLY TWICE A DAY! Make sure your face is CLEAN, but make sure it's not RAW clean! Clean GENTLY!) I apply it to my WHOLE FACE EVERY NIGHT, because if I don't, my face starts to act up again. I have been using it since December, and MY FACE HAS CLEARED UP 100%, NO JOKE! Most of the people leaving bad reviews aren't using it properly, because it DOESN'T CAUSE ME PAIN ANYMORE! Don't apply it too heavily, though! A thin layer will do just fine! Besides the occasional PMS or stress pimple or breakout (which Stievamycin takes care of almost immediately), I RARELY get break outs! I had red sores ALL OVER MY FACE, and looking back, I wonder how I went out anywhere at all! The longer you use it, the better it works, so don't expect it to clear your skin as soon as you put it on. It took me 5 months to go from red, blaring skin to not even having to put foundation on anymore! It's definitely worth it, and I recommend it to everyone! (See your doctor first! It's a CHEMICAL! Strong, too!)

Pros:

I've suffered with acne my entire adult life and this is the only medication that has worked for me.Any pimple show up, GONE in three days!!!

Cons:

Depending on my facial cleanser, it can be very drying and I can have red patches in the winter(-50 with the windchill).

I have used this product for six years and will never give it up. Major plus is as you age, it can help with the wrinkles too!!
