Pros:

Helps dry skin, evens out skin tone, seems oily but once it soaks into the skin it does not leave an oily feel.

Cons:

Container does squirt out too much if you squeeze the bottle.

I had a scar from shingles on my face and by using bio oil daily the scar is now GONE!!! It's the only product that worked to get rid of the scar. Also in the winter, around my nose used to get so dry and scaly. Again by using Bio Oil daily, this problem no longer exists. Both problems are gone and my skin looks great! I love this product and would recommend it to everyone to at lest give it a try.

Pros:

Softens skin
Works
Smells good

Cons:

Container lets too much out at once

So I got this for the scar on my neck. I had a birthmark, but I got it cut off, and the stitches left me a big dark scar. I tried Bio oil, and it works very well. It makes my neck very soft, smells great, and takes tthe scars appearance away. My only complaint is that the bottle lets a lot out, and I accidentally poured quite a bit all over me :p

Pros:

Fantastic as a moisturizer, only very little needed, leaves skin smooth

Cons:

Doesn't necessarily help with acne or evening skin tone

I've always had extreme amounts of trouble finding a good facial moisturizer. Most moisturizers that I used in the past would feel like it just sat on the surface of my skin and sometimes even cause me to break out but Bio Oil has worked wonders for me. You only need to use VERY LITTLE OF IT. I really think that people are having problems with Bio Oil because they're using way too much. To cover your face, you only need maybe 3-4 drops, that's it! Any more and you'll definitely feel oily all over.

I broke out overnight
After reading quite mixed reviews of this product I decided to give it a go just to see how it reacted to my skin. I have some residual marks and hyper pigmentation on my face as well as some old chicken pox scars that I thought this could also help with. I have combination skin and whilst my T zone isn't very oily it is compared to my cheeks which can get quite dry. I applied this at night after I washed my face as usual and when I woke up in the morning my cheeks felt super smooth and hydrated however when I looked in the mirror I realised I had several new spots across my forehead and around my nose. I haven't had a breakout like this in over a year so I instantly knew the bio-oil was the cause and I haven't used it since. my skin is starting to calm down again but it will be a while till its back to the way it was before.

Eh it's pretty good

Pros:

It works
Smells nice
Has natural vitamins

Cons:

Greasy
Absorbs quickly
Takes awhile to work

Alright here's the run down: I do recommend this product for scarring but only in small amounts. I had an acne scar on my face for months (used medirma and it made it even bigger) I've been using bio oil for a week now and I already see my scar has decreased in size. It works but it takes time, don't expect a miracle out of it. Also, it is an oily product so you only need a small amount but I would apply it a couple times a day because it absorbs quickly into your skin.

Pros:

Really reduced facial acne scars.

Cons:

Wish it worked as a sunblock so I could use it all day.

I finally got rid of my acne after making drastic changes to my diet; no refined sugar, mostly organic, whole meal only, no dairy products with hormones (this was the biggest culprit) and increased my water intake (bought a water bottle with measure marks). BUT, my years of acne left me with several scars, uneven skin tone and very, very dry skin especially on my forehead (it actually cracked!). I heard about Bio Oil on the Today Show and the results have been sensational. I stopped using my Vitamin E cream to try it (the cream had started to help but I had hit a plateau phase). With Bio Oil, my skin is getting smoother and my skin tone has improved a great deal in a matter of days (perhaps it helps that I'm dark skinned to begin with). I plan on using it for the minimum 3 months recommended and will probably stick to it for a long time to come.

There are better products

Pros:

could work

Cons:

takes too long
breaks face out

I would not use this product on my face for acne scarring as there are better treatments out there. This tends to block the pores ad break the face out. Probably more ideal for stretch marks etc. Would rather use rosehip or tea tree or emu oil.

Pros:

it probably works better on body scars than facial scars

Cons:

caused acne cysts

i initially purchased bio oil to rid the few acne scars i had. biggest mistake ever.. it caused even MORE acne! i went from having a small line of acne on my cheekbones, to full blown cystic acne all over both cheeks.. in places where i previously never even had a pimple. once i stopped using it, the acne cysts lessened in a few weeks, but i am now stuck with red little scars all over both cheeks.
