Pros:

Acts as a good moisturiser

Cons:

Not great with make-up, you have to be really patient, and ultimately made my skin much worse

After using bio-oil my skin was much more hydrated and moisturised, and it really helped with the flakiness of the skin. However after using it consistently for about a month it made my acne much much worse, and I'm still trying to get it under control two months after I've stopped using the product. Overall, I think it's best to give it a miss if you still have active acne. Mine was mild when I started using the oil with only the occasional spot, however it is now moderate and almost uncontrollable. That said, I guess everyone's skin is unique to some degree, but if you decide to try it, proceed with caution.

Pros:

The product proves the claims. (to certain extend)

Cons:

no SPF protection.

I am here to update the progress. It seems like this product tend to be effective. I have been using it for almost a month and my red marks are gradually decresing. However, I don't see how this product works for those permanant scars. I will be keep on updating after three month of usage, as how it claims.

Pros:

Best subtitues for moisturizers!

Cons:

not nice looking..(which may be a cons that brought down overall cost)

i originally brought it for clearing my acne scars. On the first tought, like all of you, this product may be too gleasy for oily skin. In fact, it's not. I've been using a lot of moisturizers claims that oil-free, suitable for all skin. However, whenever I step under the sun (my country is forever summer), my skin feels greasy. This oil really solves my problem! Anyway, the effectiveness of clearing the scars is still under debate cause i am only using it for one week. Will update after the one cycle of the skin renew.( 28 days)

Pros:

I love the way it smells, it absorbs well.
Got it for $5 with a coupon.

Cons:

Doesn't do a thing! Gave me breakouts on the side of my face, I also have two dry patches from it on my forehead, and one on my left cheek.

So I got this about a week ago and I apply it twice a day. It only made me breakout, and dried my skin out (even though I have oily skin). Doesn't do a thing for scars. It might be causing more breakouts because my skin is oily by nature, so applying more oil might cause more acne...who knows. I'll keep using it but now only once a day and we'll see what'll happen. Try it out...won't hurt you!

Pros:

Smells Nice, Fast Acting, Evens Out Skin Tone quickly, Reduces the apperance of scars nicely

Cons:

Causes Acne & spots

If your young and have active acne i reccomend that you do not use it for too long or too much. I Had a small amount of acne that was under control but now its caused a breakout. But I highly reccoment that you use this for scars because i used it for about a day or two and it rapidly faded them :)

Pros:

-Makes your skin very soft
-Makes your skin glow
-Did not make me break out

Cons:

-None!

I have only been using this for the moisturizing affect and therefore can't comment on how well it works for other purposes, but I love it as a moisturizer and use it twice a day as part of my regular skin care regime. You only need to use a tiny bit, or else it does make your skin oily and takes a long time for your skin to absorb it. It is pretty inexpensive and lasts for a long time.

Pros:

Decent but oily moisturizer.

Cons:

Didn't seem to help with scars much or at all; did absolutely nothing for stretch marks. Likely caused pimples too.

I have old persistant scars on my back from acne and stretch marks on my shoulders from teenage growth spurts, so I thought Bio-oil might be a good cheap solution. I used it on my back and shoulders three times a day for a month, careful to rub it into the skin like the directions said. I also used it on a few persistant acne scars on my face. After a month, the oil MAY have lightened my bacne scars a little bit, but did nothing for my stretch marks or facial scars. It also was likely responsible for the new pimples on my back, since I hadn't had any there for about six months prior to using the oil.

Pros:

None worth the toll.

Cons:

Mineral oil is the FIRST ingredient. Leeches essentially nutrients from your body. Any "positive" results are cancelled out by the negative composition.

Nope.

Pros:

Moisturizes well
Smells good

Cons:

Doesn't fade blemishes

Bio oil does not work as well as it claims to. It is quite oily and moisturizes the face pretty well, but I did not see an improvement in scar fading at all.

Pros:

Nice fresh scent, does not stain clothes, a little application goes a long way to make skin smooth.

Cons:

Expensive and does not prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. Only acts as a moisturizer.

I am 32, I bought and begun applying Bio Oil from my first month of pregnancy and used through my delivery (and 4 weeks post delivery). I applied Bio Oil to my hips, thighs, breasts and stomach religiously 3+ times per day as I kept a bottle at work, at home and in my car for constant application. Despite the consistent application to my skin, stretch marks appeared and remained after my pregnancy. This was my first pregnancy and I did not mind the expense of purchasing a large amount of Bio Oil as I thought it would aid in avoiding me developing stretch marks. My advise is do not waste your money if you are looking to use as a preventative for stretch marks. Rather, use any type of moisturizing cream as I am living proof stretch marks are genetic. I am small framed and only gained 25 pounds with this 1st pregnancy.
