No, Bio oil absolutely isn't made to cure pimples neither does it helps pimples. In fact it is written among the instructions that it should not be used over the broken skin. For blemishes and scars yes it does help a lot but it depends like it causes some people to have breakouts. Everyone has different skin. Give it a try, it surely is worth it.

Pros:

This actually works! was surprised when I seen results within a week, not sure it will work for some but for my skin this works wonders, better than I expected. I have had acne since 14 and went on to accutane for a year, now (2 years) later I decided to try scar removal treatment and was kind of worried as I didn't want my skin all oily and make me brake out like crazy but it's fine if you use it right and don't apply too much.

Cons:

It will make you break out a little if you use a bit too much.

This treatment is great for scars, makes them fade and reduce the size, hardly noticeable after a week of using this.

Pros:

I love it! It is reducing the deep wrinkles around my eyes and on my neck! Also helping with the skin on my hands and forearms! Helping with my 12" abdominal scar! Keeps it from itching so much! Nice light fragrance.

Cons:

I haven't found any yet!

Good price at Costco! I recommend this product! I feel it is really helping me!

Pros:

Smells good
Easy to get
Cheap

Cons:

Broke me out like mad after one night on cheeks

I broke out like crazy after one night using this product. I had a little acne on my forehead at the beginning and my sister recommended it to me for scarring and because I had nothing on my cheeks etc, I thought it would be a good thing to put over my whole face since I had really dry skin. Silly me I duno why I even did it because next day I woke up with loads of big zits everywhere. I was so upset because I was upset with my forehead as it was already and ever since that day I have use it, I have acne everywhere now. I hate this product.

Pros:

Faded my horrible scars, cleared out my skin, did not react with my oily forehead

Cons:

None

About a year ago, I became very depressed and I have the scars to prove it. I have stopped cutting but the scars remain clashing with my pale skin. Before Bio-Oil, my arms were covered with scars that were unmistakeably self inflicted. I've used Bio-Oil for a little over 2 months now, and my scars look wonderful!! On one of my arms, I can't see any scars at all! My other arm's scars are not completely faded, but they were particularly nasty and newer than the scars on my other arm. I am afriad it will take some time for my arm to completely heal as a couple of times I fell back into my old ways. I would recommend this to anyone, and as long as I don't cut again you can be sure my arm will be cleared of noticeable scars in another 2 months!!

Pros:

-Smells nice
-Makes skin feel smooth
-Cheap

Cons:

-Paraffinum liquidum

Every product that I've used containing paraffinum liquidum (or other form of paraffin oil) has done the same; initially, it seems to lighten scars and makes skin almost glow. Within a week, the results weaken and as soon as you quit using the product, you're back to square one (if you're lucky.) If youre unlucky, you're going to be breaking out AND your skin will be drier than normally, since paraffin binds the moisture from your skin and hence dries it out whenever you wash away the paraffin oil.

Pros:

Smells good, like lavender
Works on older hyperpigmentation
Actually smoothens scars

Cons:

Can make you break out in small bumps
Doesn't really work on newer hyperpigmentation

It works really well but it isn't recommended for people with oily and acne-prone skin. I have combination skin.

Pros:

I didn't find any

Cons:

Made my acne a whole lot worse
Felt unpleasant

I understand that everyones different, but my personal experience of this product was unforunatly not good. A few years ago my acne pretty much dissapeared, so i wanted my scars to go too. I only had a few but i just wanted my skin to be normal again. When i look back i was putting on quite a lot, mainly out of frustration. After about two weeks application i broke out really badly and have lots of scars now as a result. Ironic huh? So my advice is to just be very careful with this product, and that i definatly don't think it's suitable for acne scars.

Pros:

smells good.
lightens scars and spots after acne.
cures dry skin.

Cons:

oily.

worked ok as an all over treatment at first but not too well then i tried it as a spot treatment only. that worked pretty good but not as well as i hoped. so i bought vit e gel and used that as a spot treatment over bio oil which was all over my face that faded them fast like two days not completely gone but much better. use it with another scar treatment morning and night works better than anything else.

Works greatly with acne
I have oily skin and was suffering very badly from pimples and subsequent acne. Tried out many creams and face washes. At last bio oil is something which came to my rescue. Now my face is getting clear and I am really happy for this product. Found it online in pretty many sites like Flipkart, Amazon.in, Click on care, Nykaa etc. There are price differences also between them and found Clickoncare has a reasonable price. So got it from them. Now using bio oil for more than an year.
