Pros:

Helped very much to smooth and clear red bumps.

Cons:

Awful smell, leaves smell on hands and towels, dries skin. Came from a $20 Proactiv one month trial kit - paid for whole kit but now only use the mask.

The other products in the Proactiv line did nothing for me; if anything, they made my acne worse. I left my Proactiv kit alone for a long time until recently; I threw out everything else and have been using the refining mask as an overnight spot treatment. I had thick red bumps on my cheeks to which I applied the refining mask and left it overnight while I slept.I've been doing this for about a week and I have seen progress. The bumps are gradually smoothing out nicely (the smaller ones are gone, the nastiest one is gradually reducing), the blackheads/clogged pores around my nose and the corners of my mouth have cleared, and I am quite happy with the progress. I use it as a part of a mixed treatment regimen. Cleanse with cetaphil in the morning, exfoliate with baking soda, moisturize with cetaphil, cleanse in the evening, refining mask overnight.

Pros:

Good for Oily skin, died out the pimple, feel fresh and clean after using

Cons:

Packaging, Smell

It's good for me, I like the feeling after using, geting fresh and feel like I got brighten skin. I have been using for 2 month, once in a week. It helps reduce having pimple in the time of having period, but I really dont like the packaging. And the price is also expensive.

Seemed to stop working; or not be as potent.

Have not re-purchased this product

Pros:

Somewhat dried out your pimple, bringing all the white stuff in your pimple to the top so it was easy to pop.

Cons:

You might need to use it more than once in a row to actually make it dissapear.

Somewhat worked for me, could work for you

Pros:

helps make pimples noticably smaller

Cons:

the results won't be as good if you use it everynight

It works but you can't use it to often i think the suggestion (-3 times a week) is pretty good and besides the 2-3 times i would use it when i had a large pimple that was very red or just big as well. The smell isn't great but it's not bad. Bottom Line is good for when you really need it. If you have tiny zits don't bother.

Pros:

Made skin less red looking and pimples less noticeable.

Cons:

Leaves your face smelling like eggs. Hard to buy by itself.

I've read several comments and have come to my own conclusion... I have sensitive skin that most acne products don't work on, they just seem to burn my skin and make it feel very irritated. I have mild-moderate acne, my face seems to react poorly with the OTHER proactive products and many other prescribed creams I've used (if this sounds like something you may be experiencing read on). So far i used this refining mask only once, but for a test i put if almost all over my face over night... The next morning one side of my face is completely clear because they were mostly small red pimples (along with the red colour of skin due to the "burning" experienced from the other creams ive been using.) The other side of my face actually had 1 or 2 bigger pimples in which they lost most of their redness and appear smoother and less noticeable. I'm aware of some of the potential long term effects (i.e scarring, immunity - bigger breakouts) but so far so good. If this sounds like you give it a try

Pros:

Really good when used on individual pimples overnight - dries them out quickly and effectively. Used as a mask is good at absorbing oil and makes skin smoother.

Cons:

Isn't that visible when you put on a light layer - kind of looks like it's 'fading'. And it doesn't smell that nice - kind of like sunscreen.

Works quite well, but is at it's best as a spot treatment (overnight). Dries the pimples out and makes them heal quicker. Quite pricey, but otherwise a good product.
