Pros:

it works.

Cons:

you have to buy the proactiv system, it's expensive, and you don't get that much.

it doesn't dry out your skin, it reduces the size of pores, and it actually works. it just sucks that it's so expensive.

Pros:

It WORKS!!!!

Cons:

Having to buy the rest of the Proactiv system

This is a great product, but the rest of the proactive system dried my skin out so bad that I had to put Carmex on certain spots. I would love for Proactive to start selling the Refining Mask alone and not charging so much for it. I hate to pay the price for it, but it is such a great product that I am looking to buy it online as I write this. It is hard to find a product that works in the acne market. Proactive and all the celebrity's that have endorsed it have ruined their names in my book. My advice to them is to sell what works and drop the rest, or redesign the rest of the system. I am tired of paying for products that don't work and I think it's time for companies and their spokesmen to start being accountable for their claims. Yea! Proctive for the Refining Mask, Boo! for everything else.

Pros:

soft and helps doesn't hurt...

Cons:

I am a Proactive user and I always wondered what about the system that keep me with it, and it is the refining mask. Everyone knows the refinning mask is what makes Proactive MUCH better.

Agreed with not much luck in the 3 step Proactive system. However I am going to stop using the 3 step and cancel my plan, and just stick to the refinning mask. I enjoy it and is one of the only proactive things I like so far. Get it but only by itself, try organic facial scrubs with it, organic is the best way to go. That and drinking a lot of water.

Pros:

Definately works

Cons:

If used too much it can dry your skin out a little so be sure to moisturize

I stopped using the Proactiv treatment, but kept using this mask. It's great and really does work overnight to reduce acne. It is 6% sulfur so leaving it on too long can irritate your skin. Don't put it where you don't have breakouts because it'll just dry your skin out. I usually just put it on my chin area. A little expensive, but worth it!!! Also, watchout, it may bleach your washcloth!

Pros:

Doesn't dry out skin, works well as an overnight mask

Cons:

A bit expensive, and such a little amount.

This product, although very expensive, is the only overnight mask that doesnt dry out my skin and actually works. I love it!

Pros:

Seemed to dry out acne at first

Cons:

Stopped working after about a week. May have had a weird allergic reaction to it.

Used it for several weeks as an all over mask, and a spot treatment. Then one night after usings it as a mask and leaving it on in the bath for about 30 miuntes, I noticed that I seem to get a weird dizzy feeling, head spinning, and racing heartbeat. I actually ended up having to go to the ER. They ran test but everything was normal, but at the time it didn't even cross my mind to mention using the mask just 30-45 minutes before having to go to the hospital. I didn't make the connection until a week later when it happened again. I thought maybe it was just this product, but I also got the same reaction from using Bye Bye Blemish, which also uses sulfer. I'm wondering if anyone else has had a reaction to acne products containing sulfur? (P.S. The ProActiv cleanser and repair lotion kept my skin clear for almost 8 years!)

Pros:

When you have a blemish it takes the red right out over night, nothing I've tryd works this great

Cons:

It's sulfur so it smells pretty gross!

The rest of the proactiv skin care line dryed my skin out bad, but the mask deffinatly works!

Pros:

It does suck up the extra oil on your face. So, it DOES work. Proactiv calls it an emergency treatment, which it is, though it won't make your skin flawless, just improved. I think it's fine to use it every other day AT FIRST if you have OILY skin.

Cons:

It's pricy! You have to pre-order it; so plan ahead. PRODUCT SHOULD BE IN A BETTER PACKAGE as there is lots of leftovers in tube--cut it open and there are 2 more uses, which dry out if not used in 24 hours.

Go for it. I use it with the 3 step Proactiv as well (for about 3 months). It is about 60% cheaper during the year than going on accutane. And no real side effects and it is much cheaper--try it first. But it does NOT solve the problem faster than accutane. Works as well as clyndomycin prescription. Better than other drugstore brands, though Neutrogena 5-in-1 is pretty good as a substitute. But learn as I am, Be Careful what you put on your face! Only non-comedogenic products--it must say it on the product before it goes on my face from now on!

Pros:

Clears up pimples even the painful under the skin type. My face is also red and after the mask it looks so much more even and brighter.

Cons:

Have to order it online and its expensive. But doc prescribed the same thing and it was 125.00. so the price doesnt seem that bad compared to that

I love it. Wish I could get it at local store. Would recommend it.
