Pros:

It's cheap, and yet better moisturising than any of the expensive products out there. Non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), so if you're using a lip balm like Carmex and Chapstick which is causing spots around the mouth, try vaseline instead.

Cons:

Notoriously greasy. Be careful not to get any up your nose, as this can be dangerous.

I love this stuff. It's a simple, honest product with no frills or miracles claimed in marketing, and it's a tried and trusted brand. Very cheap for a big pot which will last forever, and you can put some in a small pot to carry round with you. I use it as a lip balm and moisturiser. Petroleum jelly is also MUCH more moisturising than other products - it's something like 92% moisture retention as compared to less than 20% for things like cocoa butter. Contrary to popular belief, it is also non-comedogenic and won't clog pores. Wonderful stuff, can't believe there are no other reviews.
