it didn't do ANYTHING

i don't know if i'm using it wrong or it just stinks. I clean my face, dry it off, then apply a thin layer directly to my bumps(not white-heads, just red acne bumps). this didn't work, so i tried to put a thicker layer on, didn't work. i did this every night(kept on until morning) for a week or more and nothing happened at all. i didn't even feel like it was working. maybe its my skin type. my acne isn't bad, it only breaks out like once every two months on my forehead or chin.i'm not sure what the deal is. any advice??? it seems to work very well for most of the people on here, why not me??????

Pros:

I love this product. If applied regularly, it clears up zits within 4 days. More serious pimples take about a week to clear up.

Cons:

My skin did become a little dry, but nothing that a moisturizer can't fix.

This is definitely a product worth trying. Start with using it just at night. If you have a breakout, use it during the day as well.

Pros:

Works well. I also use the generic store brands as well. Small packaging, easy to bring on the plane or a friends house to use. Works really well-saw results in days, not weeks. Seems to prevents new break outs.

Cons:

I'm black so sometimes the white or dryness can really show. Dryness can be an issue, especially in the winter. I have bleached all my sheets and towels and i have to be careful when i stay at others house to not mess their sheets up!

I wash my face with a 2% salicyclic(sp?) acid twice a day. At night i put on the persa gel. The sheets and bleached towels kinda suck but i rather have a clear face than anything. Small price to pay. I feel so much more confident. My skin isnt perfect but it looks normal. i love going out without makeup or not worrying if someones staring at my bumpy skin. Its given my skin an evenness. I also like that its affordable. Sometimes i forget to do the regiment and after a few days it begins to show, so i have to be very diligent about making sure i put it on before bed.

Pros:

Helps clear up zits, especially single pimples

Cons:

If not applied properly, white streaks are visible.

I dont apply it to my entire face, just where a pimple is. It works okay and gets rid of a white head in as little as 1-2 days, and cysts...usually 3-5 days to get rid of.

Pros:

I promise you, if your skin can tolerate it, there is nothing more effective for fighting mild/moderate acne than this gel.

Cons:

It can dry out your skin and leave a white film if you apply too much. Start off with a low dosage. Use more at night when you are in private.

I have been to 2 dermatologists, and have been prescribed Duac, Retin-A, Differin, Doxycycline, exfoliators, etc, all for extended periods of time. Every time I was unsatisfied. For 2 years I have been struggling with acne, often embarrassed enough to stay in weekends when it got really bad. This stuff saved me.

Pros:

BEST ACNE MEDICATION THT ACTUALLY WORKED THIS STUFF IS AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGG I LOVE IT

Cons:

drys out skin a little

i love this product it cleared up the acne on my check that never went away and after using this i never had any acne just one or 2 small ones THIS WORKS REALLY WELL.

Pros:

Gets rid of those irritating pimples

Cons:

I was only using it for about two days and then my skin got super dry and flaky and it stayed like that for a whole week! Even when i used a moisturizer i could still see all the skin flakes it caused.

Works Well, but it makes your skin super dry and flaky

Pros:

shrinks and reduces redness of all of my acne.

Cons:

can be drying if used for a long time. Be sure to not get on sensitive areas such as eyes either accidentally or while using moisturizer. Can burn and make areas peal.

does what is says it does and the precautions on the tube/box are also accurate. good for all kinds of acne and probably better used only when needed due to the dryness.

Pros:

Effective tool, helping to both reduce acne immediately over night as well as preventing future breakouts.
Creates a high turnover of skin cells, which helps with the natrual smoothing of skin.

Cons:

Skin will become dry, especially in the colder winter months but a solid moisturizer, that is non-condegemic and light, will aid those worrying about suh an effect.

This is an extremely effective product, and I feel as though I should clear up some misuderstandings and misconceptions. Firstly, acne that you recieve in the second or third week of use, will often by acne that is inevitable and unpreventable, because of prior skin treatment. Secondly, the skin will more than likely experience ups and downs, but the skin will consistently be moving in a positive direction( less blemishes and issues). Thirdly, this product has no affect on acne scars. The blemish left by a declining pimpe may be mistaken as a "scar" but is merely a step in he healing process. This product will not create any new scars, but will help to prevent and settle the users skin.
