Clean & Clear : Persa-Gel 10, Maximum Strength

Just wanted to give an FIY to everyone here to steer clear of this product, it contains laureth 4 which is a known pore clogger. I have an entire list of pore clogging ingredients and check every product, this is what has helped me clear me acne, but this product is a no go and counter productive.

I am 25 and have had moderate acne for years. I use this product with differin and only apply it at night. I stopped using facial cleansers and just let the water hit my face in the shower occasionally. This combination has cleared all my acne. I have to make sure I don't miss a day because I can guarantee I will see a pimple three days after the day I missed. Wonderful product.

This product made my face a mess, in the month that I used it my face only got worse, and my acne got three time worse when I tried to stop. Now that I'm on natural means that's where I plan to stay. Try it at your own expense.

It's better than no treatment at all, but it would be one of my last choices. It's very harsh, drying, and makes me peel a lot...much more so than any other Benzoyl Peroxide product (I've tried every one at some point over the decades....I'll save you the trouble, go with Dan's!). The texture of the C&C Persa Gel is just weird. It cracks, flakes, and wears horribly under makeup. Once it even left me with this bad chemical burn look across my face. Sorry, can't recommend this at all. It's not the fact that it's 10%. Even though I prefer 2.5% because it wrks just as well for me, I am able to use other 10% formulations with no problems at all (like Clearasil Ultra and Clearasil Vanishing Cream...those are my next choicees after Dan's).

i have been using for 1 month and i only see 2 new pimples or else i usually had 3-4 pimples in a week.

I use Clean and Clear persa-gel on and off when i have really ugly pimples that won't disappear. This is my last resort method to really attack pimples that won't go away! I apply a very very very small amount and then apply a moisturizer after. Without a rich moisturizer my skin would be flake city haha. USE THIS PRODUCT SPARINGLY.

I've been using this product for 4 years and my acne has decreased dramatically.

I used this sometimes for breakouts when I was a teenager but it didn't seem to help my acne any more than 5% bp. It may have even made it worse because it dried out my skin and caused my skin to produce more oil in reaction to the dry/flakiness.

I do not recommend this product. It seems to be a very low quality benzoyl peroxide. Prior to using Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 I had only had one cyst and it had occurred years earlier. When I started using this bp I started to get two to three cysts per month. When I switched to a higher quality brand the cysts stopped. I ran out of the better brand and tried using Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 for a few days while I waited for my new order to arrive. After four days I had a cyst. This is a single sample with no control so I can't draw any real conclusions, but there certainly is a correlation. Use a higher quality benzoyl peroxide.
