Pros:

I assume it prevents pregnancy. I'm not even sexually active, but I'm taking it to qualify for Accutane.

Cons:

Three weeks into it, I'm getting painful leg cramps, cold sweats, fatigue and a weird tingling sensation all over. Yaz is also expensive, because there's no generic.

Too many side effects. My gyno says almost all birth control pills can help acne, simply because they regulate hormones. I believe Yaz is more dangerous than other pills, so I'm switching to Tri-Nessa (generic Ortho Tri-cyclen) asap.

Pros:

acne has cleared up a little...?, no period?

Cons:

yeast infection, loss of sex drive, severe acne during the first month, depression, no period, crying/angry

Not worth the depression, NO SEX DRIVE, acne flare ups week before going off the pill, boobs are still small like usual, now scared of the recalls, periods were very light to none before taking pill, and still no period, not pregnant though.

Pros:

my boobs grew a bit

Cons:

ive been getting a bit of acne

ive been on yaz for about 2 weeks, so far my boobs grew a little bit, the first week around my period i was EXTREMELY moody, i would cry for no reason. this week ive been getting some acne, and ive never had skin problems, but i just started to brake out on my chest, face and back of my neck. supposedly it goes away after 3 weeks, so we'll see..

Pros:

Cleared Skin, Regular periods

Cons:

Bad Cramps

I am about to start my second month of Yaz. The first 2 weeks my face broke out ALOT. Like worse then ever. But the 3rd week it cleared up and my face looked great and is still looking good. But I'm not taking Yaz because of that. I'm an Athlete and when I started doing a sport from 3 days a week to 5-6 days a week, I got my period 2-3 times a month 6 days a week with horrible cramps. So the Guynatologist made me take birth control. The other birth control Which was loestrin 24 broke my face out worse then it had ever been so I switched. My periods are regular still and I am having clear skin! It has worked great for me so far.

Pros:

Helped a bit with acne...but not really enough.

Cons:

Increased appetite, increased bust by a cup size and 1/2. (that may be a pro for some but not for me)
Mood swings

I think this drug has varied effects on everyone. For some, they lost weight. Some gained, some had better skin, some had worse. I gained weight, had mediocre skin, and for me it was not worth the side effects.

Pros:

No pregnancy. No side effects except frequent mild headaches. Shorter periods. 2-3 days.

Cons:

No improvement in skin.

Skin is as bad or worse than before. Fewer side effects than other BC pills I have used.

Pros:

?

Cons:

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE breakouts worse then before I went on it.

i dont know if it takes a few months (like accutane) and has to bring everything to the surface before it clears it up, but right now (first month just completed) its doing nothing good. I have also been on my period for three weeks straight now.

Pros:

Cleared My acne, regular menstrual cycle, no cramps, less bloating, less irritability

Cons:

None

I was skeptical to try it first since I read online the negative side effect everyone was having. I talked to my GYN doctor and told me to take them in the evenings after a meal around the same time everyday (I take them at 8pm). I never had any side effects that everyone else was having.. No nausea, headaches, dizziness, breast tenderness, mood swings/irritability. In fact, I have less cramping, shorter/lighter periods and by the third month, most of my acne cleared away. I have tried other pills and this one is by far the best for me. I know that Yaz may not be for everyone since everyone's body is different. but I am glad it work perfectly for me. I know Yaz may be expensive, even with insurance. I qualified for the state family planning program and I get them for free.

Pros:

prevents pregnancy

Cons:

where do I start?...I have the worst complexion I have EVER had with deep, painful, under-the-skin acne always on my chin, MAJOR break-thru bleeding for 4-5 days, horrid moodiness around my period, very expensive $30 per pack, can't lose weight

DO NOT give in to the tempting claims of the commercial for YAZ (which Bayer is actually being sued over because the claims are false). It has done nothing but the opposite of what it says it does for you. I was quite happy with the RING but decided to switch it up as soon as YAZ came out because of the benefits it promised. I have been on YAZ for about 2 years now (or however long it's been out). It worked well at first, very light and short periods. After about 6 months I began spotting in between periods and the spotting got longer and heavier as the months went by. This month (last month i'm on this btw) I have literally been spotting for a week straight and my period is still 2 weeks away. This is killing my sex life too because I feel like I have my period 3 weeks out of every month. I have no self-confidence because of the horrible and painful acne marks on my chin...so embarassing. Dont wait to give this pill the benefit of the doubt!

Pros:

barely any pms or acne.

Cons:

severe migrane all three days of period ( i have long since been a monthly period migrain sufferer ), sore boobs, slight nausea if I don't eat when taking pill.

I like this MUCH better than Seasonale (constant bleeding/migraines/depression) and Nuvaring (sore boobs!!)
