Pros:

controls acne nicely, I had barely any breakouts while on this pill, however it wont just clear it up, you should use an antibiotic with it to clear up your existing acne first.

Cons:

causes bloating, I had a couple of headaches on it the first month. Also LOWERS you sex drive like no other pill.

This is a good pill, except for the bloating and lack of sex drive. It's very helpful for women with horomonal acne :)

With Kariva (generic Mircette) I had no acne problems. I had the occasional pimples but no major breakouts. However, my libido seemed to get lower and lower over time and I was dryer down there. After over a year of frustration with having sex hurt because of being dry/not in the mood, I decided to go off kariva to see if that was the problem. And my libido and lubrication came back full swing. However, since starting a new bc, femcon fe, I am breaking out a lot on my back and jawline. I would say kariva helped with acne but hurts your sex life!

Pros:

Clears up acne immediately. Decreased hair loss. Eyelashes became super long and thick! Prevents pregnancy.

Cons:

Severe migraine headaches. Depression. Zero libido.

Side affects were unbearable and I had to discontinue use after three months. I later read that this pill should not be prescribed to women with a history of migraine. Moderate to severe acne returned after I stopped taking it. I will now be trying Spironolactone because it has fewer side affects.

Pros:

Cramping is rare, which is a huge benefit for me. My skin cleared up nicely, not entirely, but it looked like I was glowing. Wonderful. Much less oil.

Cons:

NO sex drive, whatsoever. I was SO dry that my boyfriend actually tore me. Headaches if I didn't take it on time. General moodiness; I felt like I wasn't myself. Wasn't useful in clearing all those annoying blackheads or clogged pores.

This product is extremely useful to clear up skin, as are most BC's for me. It's different for everyone, though. It created quite a problem for me during sex. I don't have much of a sex drive to begin with, and this made me so unresponsive that I literally tore every time I had sex. Extremely painful, and why I discontinued use. But of course, now I want back on it or some other form considering my face looks like a war-zone. It costs me a bundle, too, but I don't have health insurance.

Pros:

Semi-lighter periods.
Affordable.

Cons:

Low libido and dryness.
Minor breakouts, when before taking I had clear skin.
Spotting between periods.

Switched from NuvaRing to Mircette because of affordibility. More cons than pros. Main issues are low libido and spotting, which adds to the libido issue. :( Ordered 3 months at a time, so will have to stick it out until I get a new prescription.

Pros:

It's easy to use and frangrance free...

Cons:

Eat more, hasn't helped with acne, NO LIBIDO!! MOODINESS!

I started taking Mircette in April. Everyone has noticed a mood change including me. I don't have a lot of acne and this didn't really help with it. I don't even want to think about sex... EVER! and that my friends, is the exact opposite of what i used to be like. :) i would say if you're already moody and don't want to have sex.. use it.

Pros:

I'm not pregnant

Cons:

Very low libido, dryness, spotting

I don't get it. I took this pill for 5 days and stopped because it screwed my body up so bad within the first week. Literally the first day I started taking it, my period completely vanished and then a couple days later I started spotting and never stopped. Maybe one day i'll find a good birth control pill
