Pros:

My period went from 10 days to 2 days, skin cleared up. I didn't have the negative effects of mood swings others have had. It actually helped my PMS symptoms.

Cons:

Not a preferred drug on most insurance

works great....

Amazing for acne-prone skin
Let me preface this by saying I have taken many different kinds of birth control pills throughout my teen and adult years. This is by far the BEST bcp for my cystic, hormonal acne. I've also taken Caziant which is also a combination of desogestrel & triphasic with the same results. I personally think it's important for the body to have a different amount of hormones each week as would naturally occur otherwise. Any time I went off of Cyclessa or Caziant to "switch it up" was when I started breaking out horribly in cystic bumps. If you suffer from hormonal acne, definitely give Cyclessa or Caziant a try.

Pros:

Huge breasts

Cons:

Moodiness, depression, anxiety, acne, weight gain, stomach issues, you name it.

I was on this pill years ago and did not realize how much it messed up my life! I have been on it again for about 3 months now and I cannot function on this. I am crying every day every hour! I don't want to do anything. I def. do not feel like myself.

Pros:

No acne, bigger boobs

Cons:

I cried most of the time and was angry all the time. My paranoia was so bad I couldn't function.

I didn't get pregnant but it wasn't worth the moodiness. I was a crazy person and didn't feel like myself.
May 7, 2009

Pros:

My boobs got bigger, no acne, no cramping and plenty of sex drive. no babbies.

Cons:

my periods are very irregular. almost scary, irregular. I have a bit of weight gain and a bit moody.

It works, I just hate how irregular I am, makes me think I'm always preggers.

Pros:

this was the very first bc i tried, didn't work, but try another pill!

Cons:

still broke out, nothing major.. but acne wouldnt go away

I went from Cyclessa to Zovia (Demulen) to Lutera..which FINALLY is working (lutera). Lutera is really low in estrogen, Zovia is really high, and Cyclessa is in the middle. Ultimately, everyone is different and you may just need to try different pills. Seriously i got so frustrated trying to find something that worked so I know how you feel, just wait it out, it will get better! (Also, I had no side effects with Cyclessa and Lutera, but Zovia started making me feel depressed and sad all the time)
