Pros:

cleared up & temporarily controlled acne
skin less oily
hair less oily

Cons:

decreased sex drive & mood swings
serious health risks/potential side effects
increased appetite & weight gain

It cleared up my skin & kept it under control for the 6 years I took it. I decided to get off after I got married and it's been just over a year, and my acne is coming back. However, I refuse to go back on Diane 35. I feel very fortunate to not have experienced any of the serious health risks/potential side effects during the time I took it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll find a more natural, safe & lasting solution.

i love using it and i will continue using it

Pros:

my skin cleared up. no more painful red spots or impossible to clean black heads. Breasts grew, but perhaps that had to do with puberty.

Cons:

EXPENSIVE, back pain, mood swings, moodiness, depression, tiredness, restlessness, no sex drive, dry everything

I'm not taking it anymore because I'm afraid of becoming more depressed, infertile and hopeless. I recommend it only in the most dire of acne cases. It should not be used as a contraceptive alone. yes if you have a painful case of acne no if you want to clear up light acne or use as a contraceptive.

Pros:

Regulates period

Cons:

Did nothing for my acne and made me depressed

On it for 7 mths but came off because I was experiencing side effects the worst being that it makes yo sorta pshycho, like anxious nervous just depressed all the time. The first 4mths my acne was worse than it had ever been in my life but then it just calmed downed to what it was before started Diane35?? Hmmmm?? Anyways no good for me where acne is concerned but were all different I spose??

Pros:

clearing my skin; much less acne and much less oily

Cons:

get quite depressed and cry a lot; freckle during summer as exposure to the sun; dry eyes

Been on Diane-35 for 2 years. It helps clear my face so it is smooth, only a 1-2 pimples a week before period and gone very quickly. However, I started experiencing depressive mood changes, mild headache, tiredness and freckle on face last year. No weight gained.I am thinking to ask my GP to prescribe me a lower dosage Yasmine, I hope pharmacies have it here in Oz.

Pros:

Improved my skin dramatically. Regular periods. Birth control. Doesn't make the skin sensitive to sun like other oral acne medications.

Cons:

Weight gain. Putting synthetic hormones into my body. Took a while for the benefits to take place.

This product does work. It never took my acne away completely, I still got a couple pimples a month (usually around my period). I decided to go off it after being on it for a year and my skin didn't really get worse. After a year of being off it I decided to go back on it. I took Diane 35 for another 2 1/2 year before giving my body a break again, but this time I broke out so bad. I don't know if it was the stress of going back to school, but after about 3 months of going off it, it was like I had the skin of a teenager again. I also experienced a change in my period. Since being off it (almost a year) my periods have gotten very light and last longer than they used to. I would recommend this product, but not as a permanent solution. You shouldn't be on something like this for a long period of time and it does have the same side effects of birth control.

Pros:

I've been trying everything for my acne problem.I was told to change my pill with Diana by my specialist. This is my 3rd month and my face is looking sooo good.

Cons:

However first thing it dries you out big time.I feel it in my hands and in my lips. But I use creams and whatever makes it softer.Secondly I wake up in the morning and no motivation for life.I cry for no reason!!Yes DEPRESSION!Thirdly I'm DD now!

I will be visiting my skin specialist this week for an alternative medication if there is one as good as Diane And Depression free! Cos it ruins your life, your relationship and your social life!Nothing exciting..I used to be very positive but now completely different.

Pros:

slight improvement of acne, larger breasts (but that could also be a con to some people).

Cons:

slight weight gain, moodiness (almost anything can bring me to tears), severe cramping during menstruation (i had virtually no cramps before taking Diane).

i don't think the pros outweigh the moodiness, the weight gain, and the cramps.
