Pros:

did help reduce my acne, although didn't clear it up completely

Cons:

lowered sex drive quite a bit, some vaginal dryness, eyes seemed drier; had to switch contacts, hair seemed drier as well; was switched off because my doctor had concerns about blood clot controversies

would probably take it again if nothing else seemed to help, although i'm concerned about the possibility of dangerous blood clots, so would definitely talk to my doctor about that... ...have been switched to Ortho Tri-Cyclen which seems to be fine for my face and small acne, but not helpful for nodular acne on the back...now, trying to combine with minocyline to eliminate the nodular acne. really didn't like the reduction in sex drive, although bad acne making me self-conscious does that pretty effectively too, so i'd still go back on it.

Pros:

significant weight gain

Cons:

sadness; no longer regulated cycle

just ended my first packet, my cycle disapeared , really anxious

Pros:

Regulates periods, less greasy skin, should bring my skin back to being smooth, weight loss

Cons:

It is so so sooo bad when you come off it.

I was on this pill for 8 years, my skin was clear again and I thought maybe it was because I was 25 and over the pimple stage? I came off the pill, I was fine for 2 weeks and then my face became an oil slick, my face broke out like nothing I have ever seen before and I gained weight. I am back on Diane after 3 months of being off it.. have been back on it for a month now and I am still dealing with revolting skin, it isn't oily any more but it covered in zits.. especially around my chin and I have never gotten them here before... but praying that it will clear up again soon.

Pros:

It totally clears up my acne, bigger breasts, healthy, smooth, flawless skin

Cons:

crazy mood swings, nausea at times, facial hair growth

It really clears up my acne but when had stopped using it my acne returned worse than it was before, greasy horrible breakouts. Regardless of the nausea and facial hair that can be dealt with this product really works for me. Just worried about the long term affects

Pros:

for now far from perfect but much much better than what it was before, regulated period, no cramps, less facial hair, only thing that really works ( tried pretty much everything exept accutane)

Cons:

none really, still have oily skin ( less than before though), break outs sometimes

I have had acne for at least 8 years now ( im 22). I have very oily skin lots of blackheads big pores and of course acne. I was always scared to use diane-35 (espacially after reading all the reviews in here) but about 6 months ago i finally decided to take it after somme really bad break-outs. I really did not have ay bad side effets ( maybe in the first 3 months, some mood swings? but i think it was me more than the pill) It really clearded my skin well (but i still get some occasional breakouts not as bad though, no more big cystic acne like before) I ve tried so many products from natural ones to antiobiotics and i m telling you dont waste your time with that.. if you re really depressed and ace is affecting u re self-esteem TAKE DIANE! it s really not bad!! it helps a lot!!!

Pros:

smooth skin, decrease in appetite

Cons:

very sleepy

i take the tablet just before i go to sleep so if i get a headache or upset tummy, i dont notice it

Pros:

hoping it will clear skin ..

Cons:

such bad nausea first week, breakout on my chin, irritable, tired all the time, craving sooo much junk food!!

im hoping its just one of those things where it gets worse before better.

Pros:

Acne cleared quick, bigger breasts, loss of weight, regular periods.

Cons:

zero libido, headaches (they just stopped one year later), tiredness..........BUT when I stopped it, got horrible depression, gain weight really fast beause of uncontrolable food cravings.

The problem came actually when I stopped the pill !! I think my body got addict to the hormone. I was diagnosed with PCOS, and at first was hard to get used to Diane, but it was good on three months. I took it for one year and decided to stop it because my acne came back! but during two months I felt strange...depressed, fat, hungry all the time, tired,....so I took it back...but I have the feeling is not good for me. Recommend it ? Yes but only if you know your body well to know its reactions, if you doing sport and eat consciously.

Pros:

Im using the generic Estelle but apparently it's the same. My doctor also put me on epiduo for my acne as well.
-With both of these my once terrible acne is now 50% clear.
- The severe redness my skin once had is 50% better as well which is good :)

Cons:

-My acne did have a really bad breakout at the starting few weeks of this.
- If I don't take the hormone pills before I go to bed it makes me nauseous.

For me it's something I'm sure will continue to work and clear up my acne completely but for now I'm happy with its progress.
