Pros:

*Not Pregnant
*Better Skin

Cons:

worst mood swings ever, suicidal, depression, nausea, headaches, aggresive, lethargic, cramps, crying all the time (symptoms I have gotten after about 9 months of using Yasmin). Expensive. I would not recommend this for anyone.Almost ruined my life.

Not worth even trying.

Pros:

Stopped my severe back aches that I used to get every month.
I always know when I am going to start my period.

Cons:

Depression. (I have never been depressed in life until 3 months after I started taking Yaz.)

Every womans body reacts differently. It took 3 solid months of me feeling like I was pregnant (symptoms) until things stabalized, but then I realized a couple months after that I had been feeling depressed. I have never been depressed in my life until I started yaz. I won't be taking it again starting today, I have done my research and depression is not something to play around with.

Pros:

Not pregnant

Cons:

Weight gain, depression, no sex drive, before taking yasmin when i worked out I would sweat, butI would stink...now the odor is bad...Stopped it just because of that!

It is impossible to try and loose weight while on this pill!

Pros:

I have been on Yaz for 3 months now and it has really cleared up my skin. It took time but I'm really happy with the results. Yaz also does not cause any bloating or PMS symptoms. I also use Differin Gel and really like this too.

Cons:

Prescriptions are expensive. Insurance does not always cover the cost. It's worth it to me to pay a little more for healthy skin.

I really like Yaz and will stick with this as long as I need it. I'm happy that my skin is clearning up and accredit it to Yaz and to Differin Gel.

Pros:

No weight gain, improved mood, acne is stable but not better

Cons:

Loss of appetite (which may be a good thing if I can lose some weight!!). First week I had a really hard time concentrating on things.

I am just hoping and praying to GOD that this works!!! I have tried tetracycline, amoxicillan, cephalexon, nothing works. I have tried differin, metro cream, klaron, nothing works. I tried drinking and using topically apple cider vinegar, didn't work. Now, I am using witch hazel and aloe vera gel. My face is less red and feels cleaner. This seems to work the best so far. I am only into my second week taking yasmin so it's too early to tell. I'm going to give it 3 mos. But, not many new ones, better mood, no weight gain, so far all pluses in my book!! Wish me luck!!

Pros:

None so far.

Cons:

Chest pains, slurred speech, moodiness, irritability, calf pain, period starting again for the second time in 14 days, can't sleep (even with 3 sleep meds), exhausted

I went on Yaz because of my severe PMDD. I don't have skin problems.I've been on it ONLY ONE WEEK and I don't like it. Keep in mind that I'm bipolar and I have schizoaffective disorder. I'm on ambien, clonopin, trazadone, lamictal, protonix, and levothyroxine. I went off Apri last December when my GYN told me I needed a break from the hormones. I have an IUD (not hormone emitting) and my husband and I use condoms (I REALLY DON'T WANT CHILDREN). So, I really don't need to be on BC, but my periods last 7-8 days and are heavy. My mood the week before my period and during my period pretty much is psychotic. I get terrible cramps, headaches, and body aches when I am PMS and during my period. So, pretty much I am only good two weeks out of the month. In the week that I have been on Yaz I have had chest pain, calf pain, headaches, slurred speech, irritability, I feel ugly and fat, I get teary eyed at work (I never get this way at work and I LOVE my job), I've had terrible road rage. Awful.

Pros:

No babies, less acne, shorter periods

Cons:

Just started getting moody, last few months

I have been on yasmin for almost 4 years i love it! so peoples bodys might not like it, Mine seems too! But the past couple of months i have been really moody from the pill its the only thing i take and my hair is getting thinner which is a bummer.

Pros:

having periods on time, and being less hairy on my body

Cons:

increased boob size, and still being depressed bthe week before my period

well, I am glad I am having my period on time becaouse before using the pill I was so frustrated of not having it, this is the best thing about Yasmin. My boobs have increased for two sizes, which is both good and bad.but I still have unwanted hair on my face and chicks, maybe it will take time to get read of thouse too.I am just worried of gaining wait I hope not, but lets see the effects in year.

Pros:

Big Boobs... better skin... cystic acne cleared and better mood.

Cons:

sore boobs, very low libido, occasional migraine, weight gain, great appetite and sleepiness.

Don't be scared... I bled for almost two weeks when I started taking it... I had 3 huge mosquito bite like acne on my face and I was very emotional on the first week but that was because my system was just adjusting to the pill. I thought of stopping but on the 2nd week, my mood improved, my blackheads disappeared, my over all skin clearer and my boobs were at least half a cup bigger. I have been battling with PMDD for almost a year now and it has greatly affected my life and my marriage. I didn't want to do anything, hated everyone and just depressed 2 weeks out of each month. I have heard of Yasmin and Yaz to help with severe PMS but I wanted to treat it naturally. But I just couldn't take it any longer so I tried Yasmin. It's like an answer to my prayers. It's freaking out my husband because he's never seen me this happy but our sex life is suffering. Actually I thought my libido was unshakable... but it really is making my sex drive really low (close to none)

Pros:

lower dose of oestrogen then dianette that i was taking, newer type of pill, different progesterone meant to help with skin, pms symptoms etc

Cons:

for the first 2 weeks felt very tired and depressed at times, hot sweats now and then, otherwise none

I was on dianette for spots but after nearly 4 years on it and doing plenty research into various pills i decided i should come off it and try yasmin as i knew dianette was not meant for long term use, i asked my gp who agreed and with fear i tried yasmin!! for the first 2 weeks i was tired and felt down at times, but i felt less bloated and no sore boobs which i often got on dianette, my skin and hair is about the same as on the dianette in fact by the second week of pills i think my skin was less greasy, i got some hot sweats, not too pleasant but you expect some effects initially. Just done with first month now and i think it seems fine fingers crossed it continues to be ok as i would rather not go back to the dianette. However pills are different for each individual i think you just have to try them and see! but if you are on long term dianette and have thought about yasmin try it, can't harm to try you could always go back if it doesn't suit you!
