Pros:

It got my period back on track. Supressed my appetite.

Cons:

I had clear skin, now I have acne, bad. My cramps are just as bad as before. Still have really heavy bleeding. Loss of concentration was noticed during first month. Mood swings and depression were also noticeable.

It regulated my period, and made me loose weight by sipressing my appetite. At the same time my cramps, and bleeding did not improve. I also have horrible acne after starting Yasmin. I would recomend it, but not to people that will be bothered with the acne.

Pros:

Bigger boobs.
No babies.

Cons:

Severe acne outbreaks!
Breast tenderness.
More moody.

Ive been using Yasmin for about 3 months now and so far its done its job as im not pregnant. An increase in bust size is a huge bonus for me, but the acne outbreaks are a real drawback. Im going to stick it out another 3 months before reaching a conclusion.

Pros:

not sure

Cons:

alot

My doctor recently recommended that i take Yaz or Femcon, i've been reading up on both an femcon is really still in the test phase so i'm definitely not going with that, as far as Yaz,i was going to take it, but now that i'm reading evrything I don't think i wanna take any BC pills. There seem to be way too many risks.

Pros:

initially wt loss

Cons:

Depression, crying, irritability, muscle cramps, wt gain after about 6 months, severe mood swings, NAUSEA

I attended a BC study performed by a local research hospital. The study compared the use of Yasmin continuously for 3 months, then you have a period vs. other BC pills. For the first few months I thought Yasmin was great! I lost 5 pounds the first 3 months and I loved not having a period every month. I have been on the pill for 2 years and have realized that I HATE THIS PILL! I tried using it continuously and then when the problems became worse I used it monthly. This pill slowly stole my life. The side effects were slowly creeping in and I didn't realize it.

Pros:

Short periods.

Cons:

Moodiness
Depression

It was all going well, and then I became so depressed, and then suicidal. I spent three nights in the hospital because it drove me to that. Now that I am off of it, I feel so strange. No odd out of the blue emotions. It drove me nuts, and I am only 17.

Pros:

-protects you from babies!
-lighter periods
-skin looks healthier, but not clear

Cons:

-doesn't help with period cramps that much (buy some midol just in case!)
-didn't clear acne

you have to try it and figure out if it works for you. I'm switching to a stronger pill to cure my acne, hopefully for good. This pill has great to me otherwise, try it and find out if it works for you!

Pros:

I took Yaz because I heard it made your boobs bigger and cleared up your complexion, it has done neither.

Cons:

I'm on my 2nd month and my complexion is worse than it ever has. I have cramps during my 2nd and 3rd week instead of just around my period. And I have much less energy working out and seem to be gaining fat!

DO NOT USE YAZ.

Pros:

Cleared my skin of inflamed acne, regulated my periods

Cons:

Had a bit of an initial breakout, i get nausea easily

Yasmin has done wonders for me. I have a hormone disorder and Yasmin has regulated all of my imbalanced hormone levels. I had a bit of an initial chin breakout, but since then my inflammatory acne has almost disappeared. I recommend Yasmin highly, but its always tricky with birth control because every woman's body seems to react differently.

Pros:

kept my acne away, didn't get pregnat, regulated period.

Cons:

cost

I've been on Yasmin for about two years now. My dermatologist recommended it too me because i had a severe acne problem. Nowadays though it seems like the acne is comming back, like my body got use to the pill, the same thing happened to me with Ortho- Tryciclin.

Pros:

Shorter periods

Cons:

Yasmin for me was 3 months of depression and severe mood swings, sleepless nights, gave me cysitc acne (never had prior), gave me IBS which went away after stopping, etc.

Yasmin did not agree with my body at all, it was awful. From week 3 and on it's was a downhill battle. The awful symptoms it gave me never subsided until I discontinued using it.
