Pros:

regulated my periods, and increased my chest size.

Cons:

Every time i came off it for a period, it would actually make my acne worse. infact since being on dianette, my acne has not improved at all, and weight gain and depression have been a side effect.

have had to resort to roaccutane treatment, and have been seriously disappointed with the results on dianette.

Pros:

Clearere skin and increase in boob size!.

Cons:

please, please dont take dianette, dr's seem to be handing this out like sweets, i didnt even have bad skin and was given it for 6 years!, i have now come off it and the dr said last week that it was now not being used due to the risk of thrombosis!.

i have been on a range of herbal remedies for my skin for a week now and it has made a huge improvement already, you need to treat this naturally and dont mess with your hormones!

Pros:

Clear skin, regular periods, contraceptive, gave me my confidence back during uni and 20s.

Cons:

Acne returned with a vengeance when I came off after 8 years. Still no sex drive 2 years later. Had to take a course of roaccutane (privately) which improved acne to a manageable level. I now have an ectropian (related to the dianette).

Great while on it, be prepared to see a dermatologist when you are planning to come off it.

Pros:

It is free on prescription

Cons:

Side effects are Evil

I stopped taking Dianette after 3 days, I had an extreme stomach upset for 24 hours and could not stop dry retching, my whole body ached, i was exhausted and I could not get warm. I would rather be spotty and hairy than feel like that.

Pros:

Skinned cleared up afer a couple of months

Cons:

Moody, loss of sex drive, weight gain

I was on dianette for 6 years, had you asked me a year ago would I recommend it I would have said yes purely because it cleared up my adult acne completely. I came off 9 months ago and my skin is worse than when I went on it, my periods are irregular, and I'm getting hair growth under my chin and on my chest. Have been trying to conceive for 9 months now.

Pros:

I've been on this pill for about 3months and a bit so far and its been great,skin is really clear and i've been on treatment for over 5 years and i tried dianette and it works a charm

Cons:

th eonly bad thing about it is bloating,i havent gained any weight or lost though

It's brilliant, and it works differently for every person, i've noticed people gain weight or loose it by eating healthily and exercising. However,i do these things and have remained the same weight which is what i expected as i'm not trying to loose any. The only problem i've had with it is bloating which i get anyway so i'm used to it.

Pros:

my skin has never been better i have been on Dianette for around 10 years and have had no problems with it.

Cons:

I have recently moved and had to change GP my new doctor wants me to come off dianette because of the risk's and wants to try me on Yasmin because of the risks.

I have never suffered side affects with it so am willing to take the risk it was having acne that made me depressed and i am not going back to that!

i've just started using dianete and im using it in order to put in weight im 19 years old 5' 4 and weigh only 7stones 5lbs, so i was wondering how long i takes to see the changes in your weight

Only been on Dianette for a month so no real difference with acne yet. Amazing difference to my moods though

I was a anti pill advocate for most of my adult life due to worry over their use and ones health long term but after suffering with acne for so long, I have finally relented.I'm 32.Life is precious tho and if there are any concerns i wouldn't hesitate to come off it but girls girls for the first time in my life my moods are steady, it's just amazing. I wake up each day with complete happiness and stability in mind, this month there was no major mood changes b4 my period was due. I've also gone from waiting on that rare hormonal tip once a month when I would have an increased sex drive to now feeling that I want my fiance all the time,ALL THE TIME! my sex drive and my emotions are a hundred percent better. I guess it balanced out my hormones and for once I feel normal emotionally and sexually. I have only taken it just over a month so no real change with the acne yet but I remain hopeful for impoved skin in the next couple months.
