Pros:

took a couple of months to work but when it did my skin was literally glowing

Cons:

got some big ginormous pimples in my cheeks that scarred in the first month or two

try it. if you can get rebates on this and your willing to wait on your acne to get better after it gets a bit worse, go for it if/when you get those massive cyst pimply guys-DO NOT POP!! you will be left with gross scars that my dermatologist told me they would take years to go away

Pros:

Cleared up my face within a week and a half of taking it!

Cons:

No cons. My face did start breaking out again after I stopped taking it though.

TAKE IT. My skin looked fabulous while I was taking it. It is totally worth it! It cleared me up quickly and I did not experience any side effects!

Pros:

Seems to FINALLY be working. I have been taking this med for roughly seven weeks. I was worried it wasn't going to work and actually thought about taking something else three weeks in. But, I stuck it out and I'm very thankful I did.

Cons:

Takes time - BE PATIENT!!!

I would highly recommend this medicine. I took this with Metrogel (redness) and it has really started working. I have very good insurance and also received a Rx card from my dermatologist for this medicine - so three months are absolutely free. I had perioral dermatitis (bad case) and this has really done the trick. Just be prepared to wait for results. Good luck! I'll try to write more when I'm done with my treatment (3 months @ 90mg day).

Pros:

Best product I've used. Has completely cleared up my acne up within 3 weeks! i used clinique's acne soap before i applied at night time.

Cons:

Not many side effects. Made my face a little red the first few uses but no extreme dryness or burning. Kind of costy depending on your insurance but my dermatologist gave me a rebate so it ended up costing $20.

I've suffered from acne most of my life. I sweat a lot and produce a lot of oil to be honest and this is the only product I've used (and I've tried them all I don't even want to think about all the money I've spent on useless products) that has been able to clear my skin up!

SOLODYN MAY BE YOUR CURE!
TRY IT OUT! I'm a mid-30 yo female that has always been acne free. Stress and bacterial infection from clarisonic caused acne break out all over forehead and cheeks. My dermatologist has put me on Solodyn 55mg and Aczone 7.5% once a day. Here's my routine: Daytime - Purpose facewash, Kiehl's calendula toner, Aveeno posivitely radiant spf30 moisturizer. Nightime - Purpose facewash, kiehl's calendula toner, Aczone, after 5 minutes CeraVe oilfree PM moisturizer, oral Solodyn at night. I have been taking Solodyn for 6 weeks now and I think this and Aczone are a really good combo! Solodyn does not give me any side effect issues but I am also on 55mg - which is a lower dosage and based off of my weight. I would definitely try this out before any other antibiotic. I will keep you all posted once I am done with my course! Stay hopeful!

Pros:

Clears your face rather quickly-great results. I have cystic acne and use in conjuction with tazorac gel.

Cons:

You nust use a good sunscreen...Now that it is summer my skin is starting to burn when I am in the car and outside with the kids. You can't avoid sun these days. For me a is a good fall/winter med

Works really well for severe acne. Try it out. Make sure you get a discout card from the Dermatologist because it is pricey!

Pros:

Seems to be working.

Cons:

None yet.

Used it for 2 weeks. So far it's working well. Skin not too dry and a noticable differance in my face. Hope it keeps working this well. Cost could be a issue. $500.00 retail. Got the rebate card from my derm. Between that and my inssurance, only payed $25.00.

Pros:

Have not had an inflammatory spot since starting Solodyn

Cons:

NONE that I can report.
It is expensive though. 499.00 for a 30 day supply. My insurance covers it. I would at least try it to see if it works and then try to get it covered.

I want to go out every night since my skin has cleared up. I saw results within two days. I still get small blemishes, but they are nothing compared to the inflamed monstrous things that ruin my weekends! I hope it continues to work. Still have to finish the 12 week regimen.
