Pros:

did see a difference in the number of spots i was getting they had reduced also made my skin look smoother.

Cons:

the capsule version plays havoc with my stomache and makes me have stomach cramps. when you stop taking this medicine spots come back

Try it, it takes a while to notice the effects but it does work. However get the pink tablet version and not the orange capsule. I take 2 x 250 morning and night.

Pros:

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

btw, it was solution that i used not the capsule

Cons:

my doctor prescribed erythrosolution + aha soap + acne spot / gel. after 2mos of using these products, it made my acne worse. my acne used to be light to moderate. now its severely moderate

im not sure if its the erythro that didnt work or its because of the combination w/ the other products. one thing i know, its expensive but youre not getting something good from it. i thought that break out is normal in the first few weeks. but omg, after 2mos, no chnges at all. i stopped seeing my derma coz i know she wants me to buy her products. im medicating myself now using 2.5% BP + cetaphil cleanser + neutrogena moisturizer. im on my 2nd week of medication now and so far, its working fine (despite of flakiness of my skin)

Pros:

Cons:

feel sick and really worried itl all come back when course finishes in a week....but my friend on roaccutane is on her 3rd batch of that stuff and and running out...her acne is back even after that so what hope does this hold of staying clear!

Pros:

After the first 4 weeks my skin was BEAUTIFUL!! I was so excited about having no acne on my face.and I loved my skin texture.

Cons:

After about 6 weeks I stated to break out again. I think my body is used to it so it's not effective on me an longer. My dermatologist told me the best bet is birth control or she suggested Septra. I just don't want to be on antibiotics forever!

I think I may try the Septra. My concern is that the same situation my occur as with the Erythromycin, it stops working for me. Not sure at this point, what my long term goals are for acne treatment...

Pros:

pill form so easy to take
has short time benifits, cleared some redness from my face
free from NHS

Cons:

spots come straight back if stop using for a short while. i seem to sweat more when using it. can make me feel slighty sick if i take it on an empty stomach

Works, but not a long term solution. Probally better for mild acne or reducing redness. I find it works resonably well for me.

Pros:

(about the topical erythromycin pledgits) It cleared up my skin for the first time in years! It's great. This form has no bad intestinal side effects as it is topical. The "burn" only hurts (and not that bad) the first few times... it kind of tickles

Cons:

It may dry out your skin (not severe), Its hard to combine it in a system where you wish to tone and moisturize as well due to the 30 min rule, very expensive if your insurance sucks, IF YOU QUIT USING IT YOUR ACNE WILL RETURN!

This is a wonderful way to treat acne, I didnt even have to go to a dermatologist to get it... just ask your doctor. Its about 11.00 - 20.00 per month with insurance but can be around 50.00 without insurance. But Having acne free skin that is also well toned and even colored is worth it, it can really take a toll on your mood whe you dont like the way your skin looks. It's easy to use... Unfortunately, I havent been able to get it for awhile and I have broken out once again.. .this is also because I am very poor and cannot afford to pay $17 for one warm shower... but thats a different Issue... I miss this stuff and I am currently trying to get more still... if that proves anything

Pros:

Clears spots very quickly, and was very effective at the beginning.

Cons:

Makes skin feel tight and dry at first, then later on in the day it makes skin very greasy. The biggest con is that when i wear make-up, it all comes off after a few hours because the skin is so greasy.

I take tetracycline tablets and I have recently started using stiemycin (erythromycin) topical solution on my face. I don't think the tablets work very well because when I was just taking them without using the solution I didn't see any improvement. I was very impressed with the solution at first because I noticed that my spots had cleared up quite a lot after only a few days of using it. But now my spots have come back, and my skin feels really sore. I find that when I first put the solution on my face in the morning, it takes ages to dry, and makes my skin feel greasy. Then when it does dry my skin feels really tight and slighty dry, and then later in the day it goes really greasy again. Overall, I think that the solution is good because it did clear up my spots very effectively and I don't think it caused the outbreak.
