Pros:

Only on day 5 of oral Emycin. Seems to be clearing up my skin, or at least preventing new breakouts.

Cons:

Did get some stomach pains in the first couple of days. Afraid of becoming immune to it and then breaking out worse.

I actually have hormonal acne. I am a 24 year old female and Diane 35 worked so well for me. But i can not take the pill any more as i have increased risk of blood clots becuase of migranes. My skin and hair both get very oily. I don't understand why my Dr is treating my hormonal acne with antibiotics. It makes no sense. I want Spironolactone!!!!!! I will however see this through because i am getting desperate.....

Pros:

Works well however I had to wait about 3 months before I saw any real changes

Cons:

Seems to work very well for about 8 weeks then I will get a break out again

Its most definatley better than using nothing. I dont think I will ever be free of spots and when this works it works well enough to enable me to not be paranoid for a few weeks! Also I have been on 250mg dose for about 2 years and get them on the nhs.

Pros:

it seems like it might be working underneath...but right now i'm still having issues on the surface of my skin...also it was very cheap!

Cons:

i feel like it is pushing out everything right now...i'm having problems on my forehead...but they aren't raised at all, so with make up i look fine...i just hope soon i won't even need the make up

i've only been taking the 250 mg tablets twice a day for about three weeks, so maybe i just need to wait a little longer. this seems to have worked for other people, considering it is the second most used antibiotic for acne. hopefully once the blemishes i have now heal, no more new ones will come

Pros:

It doesnt cost alot i really dont know how well it works since i've only used it for about a week.

Cons:

None that i've seen yet.

I mean the dermatologist looked at me and he prescribed me this so im pretty sure it will work on anybody its prescribed to.If you do try it use it right so you'll get the full benefits of the treatment.

Pros:

This product does wonders for skin, clears up acne pretty fast, and if you use it every night, it works really well!

Cons:

Sort of dries up your skin, but just moisturize daily and it shouldn't be that big of a deal (just use it at night instead of day when you can deal w/ the dryness or slight redness)

For most of you that are having issues with the gel, try the 2% topical solution, it's liquid and it works so well

Pros:

Worked for the very first days.

Cons:

Bacterias developed resistance amazingly fast. Cause redness on the skin and light irritation.

It's a common low cost, risk free treatment against Acne; but there is very few people who actually get the desires results. For me it worked the firsts days, and after that, it was absolutely the same to use or not use it. Due to the low cost and the risk free, it's worth a try, but do not keep high spectation with it.

Don't really work
These haven't made any difference. I take two on a morning and two on a night, both on a full and empty stomach and haven't experienced any stomach pains or side effects. Literally nothing has changed with my acne apart from they are staying longer on my face and are so painful it hurts to touch my face and open my mouth. (My acne is either side of my chin and up my cheek really bad) I have been on lymecycline for over a year prior to this where my acne was just up both cheeks massive cysts and extremely painful and they worked perfectly although taking a long time to kick in my skin became gorgeous again but unfortunately they stopped working so my doctor put me on these. I'm going back to be put on lymecycline hoping they'll work again and tell him to refer me to a dermatologist aswell. So all in all if you're on these there's no point wasting £8odd for a prescription cos these might as well be smarties. Waste of time and money especially when you're at the end of your tether and self confidence. Try lymecycline and be patient with them they will work.

Not good for me.
I was prescribed a months worth of erythromycin after being on lymocycline for 2 years. I was told to take 2 tablets twice a day. On the first day I felt a bit sick in the day, only to be up all night feeling extremely sick with terrible stomach cramps. The second day I carried on as normal unaware that I was experiencing this because of the tablets and again felt extremely lightheaded and nauseous all day that I was completely put off them. I stopped taking them then tried again a few weeks after and - you guessed - I felt awfully sick to the point it would ruin my entire day and I could only lie in bed. Perhaps I should've stuck with it and seen the month through but I would rather deal with a few spots than feeling physically sick all day. I wouldn't recommend these from my experience but it may be different for you!

Minimal results
This medication barely controlled new outbreaks and made me constipated. Not worth your time or money.

Pros:

It worked great for awhile.

Cons:

It quit working after awhile. And when I did use it, it had a horrible taste if it got in my mouth.

It really worked for awhile, but then my acne was just as bad as ever.
