Put a little olive oil into your hand and gently massage into face. Leave the oil on for 20 minutes and rinse off with cold water. Repeat every night before bed for great results!:)

Can I leave the olive oil for a nig
October 2, 2011

Pros:

Great moisturizer
Improves appearance of scars
Shortens life span of zits
Works great in unison with TT Oil

Cons:

*These cons all pertain to the cleansing method*
Had 4 vicious breakouts in a span of 2 weeks.
Acne grew steadily worse

I have used OO as a moisturizer in which I used a few drops mixed with cetaphil and worked brilliantly as my skin is very dry. However I wanted to try the OO cleansing method in which you rub the oil onto your face prior to washing. My 2nd day after beginning this I broke out like no body's business. Large cysts began to form on my upper cheeks and jawline. I'm not one to normally be affected by cysts however this was the exception. Believing this initial breakout was just a reaction to my skin purging out the dirt and oils I decide to continue. This continued to get worse with 1-4 new zits daily. In the past my acne has been relatively mild, a lot of blackheads however 1-3 zits at any which time. So anyways it all came to a great climax with my worst breakout ever, literally ever and I've had some vicious ones in the past. My face was covered with large patches of zits formed in my regular problem areas. I have since cut the oil cleansing out of my regimen and am now struggling to get back on the right track. Buyer Beware!

Pros:

Cleared my large scar I had on my chin!!! :)
My circles under meh eye were not as dark

Cons:

My face looks extra oily with it on for a while...

So, lemme break it down for ya: 1) Buy some Olive Oil (duh) 2) Apply it in the area of your scar. 3) Rub it it well! 4) Make sure it has a nice coat on it. 5) Go to sleep. 6) Wake up and see results! :) That's what I did. In three days the big scar was pretty much gone. The scar was really new. I haven't tried it on old ones. TRY IT! Don't put it on your whole face though. You need to test it out in a spot just in case... :)

Pros:

I use this as a makeup remover since I am doing the regime. There is no way to remove heavy makeup by washing your face in only 10 seconds! I was using make up removing cloths and my face was a wreck: consistent break outs, dry, flaky and irritated. I wet my face rub this on to break up makeup and wash off with my normal cleanser. Nothing else gets my face cleaner. This is way better than jojoba oil for dry skin. I rub it into my under eyes and flaky areas at night for plump moisturized skin.

Cons:

Granted I've only been using this for 3 days... NOTHING

-maybe smell
-too greasy to use during the day

I'll update if anything changes

So cheap and good for your skin. This makes my skin look so refreshed. I used to looked pale, dry, and flaky from BP and this conditioned the skin to make it look good again. And I am less oily!

Pros:

Moisturizes wonderfully

Cons:

I'm no too fond of the smell
Made my face break out worse than it has in years

For the passed few weeks I decided to try out the OCM (Oil Cleansing Method), because it just seemed so... awesome, and I felt like I had nothing to lose. "If it doesn't work, then I'll stop and go back to my chemical cleansers," For the first few uses I just used EVOO, because I had no Castor Oil on hand. At first, I loved it. But after just a week my face had broken out like never before. I decided to go and get a bottle of Castor Oil, because I thought that that was what I needed (since that's what OCM is centered around: mixing Castor Oil with an oil like EVOO) I made my first mixture, using 50/50 of both oils and tried that out. My face progressively got worse. I tried a few more mixtures and began to obsessively make sure there was no oil left on my face, but all of them showed no results. I'm so disappointed in this. I had been so excited to try this method out and, admittedly, I would have loved to have told people "I use oil as my cleanser!" I went out yesterday and bought a product for /severe/ acne. I have never had severe acne before now. But, it was one of those things you take a risk on. I'm happy to have tried it, but I'm having issues looking at my face in the mirror these days. =(

Pros:

moisturizes skin
gives my face a nice glow
doesn't break me out
is clearing up my acne
shrinks pores
reduce dark circles under eyes
heals active acne fast
helps with red marks

Cons:

it feels gross and oily on skin

if i keep using olive oil and do one more liver cleanse my acne should be completely clear and i'm combating red marks in the process. give it a try, if you have super dry skin like me you won't regret it!

Pros:

-gets rid of oil
-adds moisture to you skin
- has many different uses
-.......it works
-gets rid of fine lines and wrinkles

Cons:

A lot of people don't want to try this because the thought of putting oil on your skin sounds weird.

I have oily skin and every night before I go to bed I pour a small amount of extra virgin olive oil into my hand and I rub it in my skin. It takes about a week to work.

Pros:

Best thing Ive used for my acne, and Ive used everything.

Cons:

none. Seriously.

I use it once a day, just to wash my face. It takes makeup off better than anything and its so gentle. Just rub a little onto your (dry) face, and it will even take off waterproof makeup. Then I just wet a wash clothe and gently wipe off the makeup and excessive olive oil. Thats it. Helped my severe acne.

Pros:

-good for light acne pron skin
-healthy shine
-good as a conditioner for hair (google for directions)

Cons:

-do not use if you have sever acne, start off using jojoba oil first.
-start using olive oil once your skin looks better since its thicker than jojoba oil
-smell

I used to use Jojoba oil, worked really well for 3 months, but i had to switch to pure olive oil cause we only have jojoba in a plastic 4 oz expensive little bottle with crappy lid, but works really well. I started using pure olive oil cause its much cheaper, glass bottle and it carries more volume. After using it for 3 months, it stopped working for some odd reason and planning on going back to jojoba oil tell my face is better. PS:
