Absolutely best cleansing way
I'm a guy with an oily and really sensitive skin type. Since I was 14 years old, I'd been using different soaps for face cleansing and my skin finally got so tight and irritated with that method. Like some months ago, I found on the Internet something called "Oil cleansing method". At first, I was absolutely shocked about putting even more oil on my oily skin; but one day, I tried. I took olive oil bottle from the kitchen (Virgin olive oil) and I spread all over my face. Like 2 minutes later, I remove it with some cotton pads until was clean, soft and completely radiant. Then, I used one of my favourites gel-cream type moisturizer that makes my skin feel great by the next morning. So, from that day, I've been using the oil cleansing method every night before going to sleep and I've never ever had any cain of problem on my face anymore. Incredible how something natural as olive oil has been able to change my life. So amazing!

Pros:

Excellent moisturizer
Can be used as a scrub
Evened my skin tone
Made acne scars a little less noticeable
Makes skin glow!

Cons:

None

During the winter my skin gets so dry and flaky that I can peel it off, and it just makes make up look disgusting. I decided to try applying olive oil to my face once a week, and it did wonders! I mixed it with sugar to exfoliate and remove the dry skin, and it made my skin so soft, smooth, and healthy looking. I apply it with my fingers, let it set for 5-15 minutes, and rinse it off in the shower. I follow with my normal facial cleanser and the acne.org regimen. I do this once a week, and my skin looks better than ever! Also, this did not cause me to break out at all, but it also didn't help my acne. It's simply a moisturizer. I've had bad experiences with jojoba oil, and even though this is much thicker and doesn't absorb much into skin, it made my skin softer and didn't have any bad consequences. I definitely recommend this!

Is Great Value Extra Virgin Olive Oil a good brand, because I heard the only reasons Olive Oil can have a low rating is because some people use unauthentic Extra Virgin Olive Oil consisting a blend of various oils, I read somewhere that Great Value's Extra Virgin Olive Oil passed the authenticity test, but I wanted to hear it from someone that tried the treatment with it

It works - JUST MAKE SURE TO BUY THE REAL THING
I used fake extra virgin olive oil because this stuff is not regulated and I broke out. Before I was using the pure stuff and my cysts were shrinking and going away. It was magical. I had a big inflamed cyst that just disappeared overnight with the pure stuff. DO YOUR RESEARCH! Do not buy from the frauds. I use California Ranch Olive Oil now. It is cold pressed and comes in a glass bottle. It has been tested and is the real thing. Luckily I did not apply the fake stuff for very long but it still did damage. I have continued to use the real thing and it has healed up the damage from the fake stuff. No more cysts. I was about to go on accutane too so I am very thankful this worked for me.

Pros:

Very moisturizing

Cons:

Not to be used during the day!

I was told to use EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) and I'm glad I did. I love it. It's inexpensive and moisturizes great. The trick is to use a little. Less is more. I was also told to use this as a cleanser...I did and won't do that again. It didn't make me break out more (which surprised me), it just works better as a moisturizer. In the morning my skin looks healthier. I definitely use this at night. Yeah, don't use this during the day!

Pros:

Cleared my large scar I had on my chin!!! :)
My circles under meh eye were not as dark

Cons:

My face looks extra oily with it on for a while...

So, lemme break it down for ya: 1) Buy some Olive Oil (duh) 2) Apply it in the area of your scar. 3) Rub it it well! 4) Make sure it has a nice coat on it. 5) Go to sleep. 6) Wake up and see results! :) That's what I did. In three days the big scar was pretty much gone. The scar was really new. I haven't tried it on old ones. TRY IT! Don't put it on your whole face though. You need to test it out in a spot just in case... :)

Pros:

I use this as a makeup remover since I am doing the regime. There is no way to remove heavy makeup by washing your face in only 10 seconds! I was using make up removing cloths and my face was a wreck: consistent break outs, dry, flaky and irritated. I wet my face rub this on to break up makeup and wash off with my normal cleanser. Nothing else gets my face cleaner. This is way better than jojoba oil for dry skin. I rub it into my under eyes and flaky areas at night for plump moisturized skin.

Cons:

Granted I've only been using this for 3 days... NOTHING

-maybe smell
-too greasy to use during the day

I'll update if anything changes

So cheap and good for your skin. This makes my skin look so refreshed. I used to looked pale, dry, and flaky from BP and this conditioned the skin to make it look good again. And I am less oily!

Pros:

-gets rid of oil
-adds moisture to you skin
- has many different uses
-.......it works
-gets rid of fine lines and wrinkles

Cons:

A lot of people don't want to try this because the thought of putting oil on your skin sounds weird.

I have oily skin and every night before I go to bed I pour a small amount of extra virgin olive oil into my hand and I rub it in my skin. It takes about a week to work.

Pros:

Best thing Ive used for my acne, and Ive used everything.

Cons:

none. Seriously.

I use it once a day, just to wash my face. It takes makeup off better than anything and its so gentle. Just rub a little onto your (dry) face, and it will even take off waterproof makeup. Then I just wet a wash clothe and gently wipe off the makeup and excessive olive oil. Thats it. Helped my severe acne.
