Pros:

Smells great
Foaming wash makes skin feel clean
Prevents breakouts

Cons:

Doesn't treat existing pimples/red spots
Dries out skin like CRAZY
Makes skin flake and peel
Burns

Initially I liked this product. The foam really made my face feel clean and fresh. But it strips your face of all its oil, even the good ones, and leaves your face dry and exposed. It did a good job at preventing breakouts, but did very little to treat existing ones. I only recommend for people with oily skin. Stay away from this if your skin is dry.

Cons:

Burns face
Dries skin
Puffiness to cheeks

Horrible product, I used it for three days and notice it was making my face dry. Mind you even if I put facial lotion in it dried that out immediately. Then it started to make my face BURN and become red....I want my money back

Pros:

It works... sorta.
Easy to find.

Cons:

Not worth the price... (yeah, I'm a bit of a cheapo)

Smells weird, feels weird, makes your face itch/hurt, overall blech.

I used this for a year with semi-satisfactory results... it kept my acne at bay... but it wasn't going away per se. I recently switched to Calamine Lotion (check out the reviews for it under Home Remedies on this website) which cost me less than $2 for a generic brand at Walmart. It worked better for me. So does this wash work? Sorta. But I'd suggest you'd look into the $2 lotion which is just as- if not more- effective than that.

Pros:

Leaves face feeling clean
Very mild scent
Clears acne!!!

Cons:

It is drying
Leaves face feeling tight
Acne will get worse before it gets better

I love this stuff! I've had acne since I was about 13 and now I'm 19. I only get it really bad and consistently on my chin but since I have very large oily glands the pimples I get are always huge. For the first week I used this it did bring out more pimples but after they died I haven't had another one! Even with oily skin like mine it will dry you out so definitely buy a good moisturizer with it, I use Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer. All I do is wash my face once in the morning, moisturize then do the same before I go to bed. This stuff works!! You have to be patient though, but I would recommend this to anyone.

Pros:

Contains 2% salicylic acid and works great for my extremely oily non-sensitive skin.

Cons:

May cause irritation if skin is not oily or are allergic to salicylic acid.

After reading the book "The Acne Cure" by Terry Dubrow, I came up with a routine that works great for my skin issues. Just to let everyone know though, I'm NOT allergic to salicylic acid, glycolic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Morning Routine: 1) Wash with Neutrogena oil free acne wash and let sit on skin for about 2-3 minutes, rinse and pat dry. 2) Apply Alphahydrox 10% glycolic oil free formula and leave on (don't rinse off). 3) Wait about 4 minutes and then apply Neutrogena oil free spf 15 lotion with DermaNaturals from the neutrogena acne kit. 4) Apply OC Eight to oily areas of face. Evening Routine: 1) Quickly and gently cleanse with Neutrogena skin polishing cleanser from the acne kit to remove the OC Eight and sunscreen. 2) Wash with oil free acne wash and leave on for 2-3 minutes, then rinse and pat dry. 3) Wait about 5 minutes and the apply the acne control lotion ( has 2.5% benzoyl peroxide) from the acne kit. For me this has really helped to even out my skin tone, clear pimples, blackheads, control oil for most of the day and reduced the redness that I always had.

Pros:

None!

Cons:

Our 9 year old son used this product and experienced a severe allergic reaction (chest was swelling and tightening, face was so swollen his eyes were shut and now 4 days later it looks like he has eczema). If you look up salicylic acid, you can see all the potential effects of this product and it shouldn't be used by pre-teens.

Be careful with this product!

Pros:

Clears up acne at first.

Cons:

-Leaves skin dry, red and flaky!

I only used this product once a day and it caused flaky dry skin with in 3 days of using it. yes it did clear the acne away but after the acne is gone your skin is so dry it looks worse than before. and once you stop using it your acne comes bad much worse than before using the product. i do NOT recommended this product at all.
