Pros:

NONE!

Cons:

This stuff is no better than anything you can get at Wal-mart! I was committed to the 16-18 week process and my skin is not any better than it was when I started. It's extremely expensive and doesn't work!

Let me make myself clear...I used every product in the system exactly as directed every single day for the an entire 16 weeks. My husband hated the smell and would barely kiss me good night. My skin is horrible. I can't really say that it made anything worse, but it certainly didn't make anything any better! There are too many steps which added no less than 5 minutes to my morning routine. Doesn't sound like a lot of time? It is when you're trying to get every second in at the gym and run home to get ready for work and get two kids ready for school and be out the door by 8am! I'm convinced that it's a sham!

Pros:

Obagi Clenziderm completely cleared my acne when nothing else worked. You can also see results faster than other products. My acne was significantly reduced in 2 weeks and completely cleared in about a month.

Cons:

It can be somewhat drying even when I moisturize daily.

I have tried pretty much everything that you can buy without a prescription for acne treatment...Murad, Neutragena, Proactive, and even tried salicylic acid peels. Nothing worked until this for my moderate to severe cystic acne. If I miss a few days, switch to another product, or leave out one of the steps then my acne comes back so I religiously stick to the 3 step regimen. I use a moisturizer with SPF in the morning to help with the drying. Overall I would definitely recommend this product.

Pros:

Obagi products usually work very well, so I am exepecting great results.

Cons:

The price & it takes time to apply the product.

I have only been using ClienziDerm for about two weeks, but I haven't used it daily. It really dries out my skin so I decided to not use it everyday and it seems as though I am getting bumps on my forehead (little fine bumps) and I didn't really have breakouts on my forehead before I started using this product. The blackheads on my face have started to clear up and my skin is less oily. I will start to use the product daily and see what kind of results I get.

Pros:

Obagi Clenziderm - In less than one week the kit has dramatically faded the red dots that my acne leaves behind. Oiliness is reduced, too.

Cons:

time consuming to use.

I've had acne all my life and used tetracycline, minocin, accutane, Proactiv, you name it. Proactiv worked like a dream up until 2 years ago when my acne changed. Now (I'm 46) my acne is more cystic - I get very hard round bumps all clustered in one area on my forehead or chin. The breakout lasts about 2 months, then just goes away. The bumps leave behind a red dot that takes a year to fade. I'll be fine for a few months, then another breakout will happen. I've only been using Clenziderm for about a week and have been very pleased. I haven't experienced any drying or peeling. My skin just looks more radiant and less scarred.

Pros:

December of this year will be 2 years on obagi.. i still love it. i use the products 7 days a week, that might be overdoing it but still about 3 days out of the month my skin peels a bit, and i get a little red in the face, but i like it.

Cons:

although my skin is so much better i wish it took better care of the wrinkles

I love the product. i have one daughter 25 and another 22. i want them to go on it, but right now they are not willing to pay the inital investment. but they do borrow my stash.. The cleaser, and toner anyway. I have people comment on my skin all the time. and for the first time in my life i DO NOT have to put on makeup and have changed when i do where it to just a tinted moisturizor.

Pros:

It's one of the only topical regimens I have ever tried that worked so quickly. I am talking about the Clenziderm MD Normal/Oily 3 step system.

Cons:

It did make my skin a little dry at first but you just have to alternate to using the BP every other day if your skin gets too dry.

The system uses a liquified form of 5% benzoyl peroxide solubilized to 1/10,000 the size of any other benzoyl peroxide on the market for deeper follicular penetration. Most benzoyl peroxides are formulated with insoluble crystals that, when applied, remain largely on the surface of the skin because they are too big to penetrate the follicle. It feels amazing on your skin!! The cleanser has a cooling menthol feel so your inflamed blemishes get a sigh of relief! I used it and it effectively cleared me up, I wouldnt even break out when it was my menstrual cycle.

Pros:

Dries out oily skin and pimples, tightens enlarged, oily pores

Cons:

Expensive, tedious 3-step process, bleaches clothing

I have had acne since I was 12 (I'm now 32) and once I got into my mid-20's my acne became cystic, my skin got oiler and my pores got larger. I've tried everything under the sun and some stuff helps more than others. I was using Obagi Nu-Derm which really cleared up my acne and helped with acne scarring but it made my skin much more oily so I stopped using it. When my acne returned a few weeks later, I decided to try the ClenziDerm. Typically, my skin has oil dots all over it with 1/2 hour of getting out of the shower. The first day I used Clenziderm, my skin did not become oily for about 2 hours after I got out of the shower and even then, it was about 1/4 as oily. My skin felt really tight and my pores looked smaller. My skin was somewhat itchy but it's not been peely or red. I don't have any new zits, either, which is great! I'm only on day 5 but so far, I'm loving it!

Pros:

cleared cystic acne

Cons:

i have sensitive skin and did have the irritaion in the begining but was well worth sticking with it b/c my skin is the best it has been since I started getting acne.
products are expensive at first but lasted longer than I thought they would.

yes the ugly side effects were present in the begging and it took about 2 months till my skin fully adjusted. It was worth those two uncomfortable months to get the clear, more even toned skin that I now have! I tried many treatments before this but this is what works best for me. Wish I knew about this option years ago. It is expensive at first but becomes more affordable once you you transition to the maintaince program.

Pros:

Clears up acne!!, evens skin tone, leaves a nice glow to the skin. All steps in program were numbered.

Cons:

expensive, peel a lot at first along with dryness and flaking but it's worth it!

I had used obagi last year for about 8 months. I had mild/moderate acne on my forehead and chin. I discontinued using it in the summer because of the sun, but have just recently started back up. I used it exactly how my doctor told me A.M. #1 cleanser,#2 toner, #3 clear, and # 4 Exfoderm, #6 sunblock P.M. #1 cleanser, #2 toner, # 3 clear, and #5(bleaching cream) mixed with .01 % tretinoin. (used tretinoin every other night. Along with obagi I got weekly microdermabrasions for 4 weeks which really helped with the peeling. I am 20 so I did not have a great amount of peeling. It only lasted about 3 weeks and then it was amazing how clear and even my skin was. I read a lot of bad reviews of this product and wanted to offer some adive. If you are peeling too much use treinoin every other night and #4 Exfoderm every other day instead of every day. this really made a difference for me. I love obagi and hope more people will try it. It takes some time but the results are a

Pros:

NOTE: this review is for OBAGI NU-DERM. not clenziderm.
hydroquinone does fade scars

Cons:

lots of harsh chemicals clogged pores, tretinoin made my skin super sensitive, and after a month i was breaking out all over the place

Obagi nu-derm is filled with harsh, pore-clogging chemicals to rip the skin off your face. this can work for

started with mild acne. i followed the treatment plan and slowly got more and more small pimples. a month later, my face was covered in small whiteheads, blackheads, and milia - it was the worst it had ever been. the horrible thing was, my skin was so thin and sensitive that every clogged pore left a scar. ARGH!! Maybe my skin was supposed to get worse before it got better, but that was a LOT worse. and what's the point of getting better if i'm just going to be covered in scars in the end?? I kinda think obagi nu-derm is a scam. they charge $65 for a 2-oz bottle of hydroquinone ("bleaching cream") that you can get for about $15 elsewhere. And then $70 for a little tube of tretinoin that was $10 from my pharmacy!!
