Johnson's : Neosporin + Pain Relief

I actually have used regular Neosporin on pimples before, but not consistently, as I hated the greasiness. Thanks to the previous reviews, I tried this cream, which is SO much better - totally non-greasy, I can even apply it over large patches of skin, if neccessary. The trick of using a little round band-aid over the Neosporin'd zit overnight is a great suggestion. Heals those nasty huge red inflamed ones right up. Use this if you're prone to acne. It will take some of the misery out of dealing with it.

Definitely a lifesaver for scabs and scars that are left over from pimples. I wouldn't say that Neo should be used on acne, but the aftermath of our acne is when this thing should be broken out. Really speeds up the healing process and is smooth, not irritating and stays on for a while. Always have one on hand!

i used to get small pimples all over my face, and now i get only a few pimple, which is nice, all except they are much larger and much redder! my friend suggested this to me, to put a dab of neosporin/polysporin on the pimple and cover it with a little "dot" band-aid. it works perfectly! it takes the redness and also the size of the pimple down a few notches. i use this if i get a pimple when i have an event coming up. it works really fast!

I use Neosporin on pimples right after i pop them. I'll usually get a scab about 3 days later that i can gently peel off.

When I veg out at home for the day, I would apply this to my face for the day, maybe apply a second time. This brand/product also contains coco butter, vitamin e, and other additives when compared to generic brand ointments. However, I do wonder if simple petroleum jelly would prove just as beneficial, which a little cheaper.

This is the best scarring prevention magic serum I've used. I use this if/when I shave and cut a zit or those rare times I pop one. Basically anytime there is blood involved I put a small dab on the red spot. I then usually follow up for the next couple of nights on the same spot with Neosporin and the redness goes away. What would otherwise turn into yet another scar fades evenly into nothing. I think it is crucial to keep this on hand for those times when skin breaks or bleeds as a scarring prevention. Obviously it is not to be used to cover the face in a regimen. I do wonder if the magic anti scarring ingredient in Neosporin can be isolated and made into a safe to use daily treatment? I also wonder what if I had used this on all the zits that became scars? Could I have prevented the scarring? I have had no better luck with tricky would be scars.

I started using neosporin to heal these horrible blemishes on my face. I was going somewhere really important, and I didn't want to get embarrased. It was like a miracle for me, because come the day i was supposed to leave, ALL of my blemishes were gone. Now whenever I have a pimple, I go right for my neosporin. It's the perfect thing to use.

If you've popped a zit, try applying a layer of antibiotic cream to the area in order to prevent further inflamation and future scarring. I applied antibiotic cream to a popped zit last night, and it is currently about half the size/no longer painful. I also believe that, perhaps by keeping the skin moist and free of infection, the antibiotic cream will work to prevent any related scarring. I remember a long time ago my brother scraped up his back pretty extensively and the doctor recommended applying Neosporin (antibiotic cream) to his wounds consistently until they healed. This prevented scabbing and probably prevented scarring. The skin on his back shows no traces of the otherwise traumatic event.

This is literally the ONLY thing that has worked for my acne/redness left behind. Over about the last 6 years, I have tried everything to get rid of my acne. The past year I had mild to moderate acne. I tried every product out there and nothing helped. I was so desperate to try to solve the acne problem I ended up giving myself chemical burn. It was that bad. Lately it has been as bad though, but last month it got worse. Every time a pimple disappeared, one would show up right next to it. It was aggravating. So, my husband told me to try neosporin. So, I'm like wth let me give it a shot. Within one day I saw a HUGE difference. The redness went down as well as the bumps. Right now its almost a week and all the zits are gone. But honestly it works. But like acne product out there there is a 50% chance that it may or may not work for you. I was lucky enough to have this work for me. I just apply the neosporin on ONLY the acne. Do not apply it all over your face. Just dab it on the problem areas. I also do not wear makeup so it does not affect the healing process. If u see one dat is about to pop use a needle and clean the area.
