Pros:

If you are a picker, this is for you!!
* Reduces inflamation
* Heals acne quickly.
* Brings pimples to a head
* Doesnt dry out skin like benzoyl peroxide
* Keeps a wound moist which prevents it from scarring.
* No smell.

Cons:

No real cons, it preforms as it is ment to but from an acne treatment point of view:
* It is greasy (texture of vaseline) it didnt bother me but it might bother some.
* Doesn't unclog pores. You need to use exfoliants in conjuction with it.
* I could only use it at night or when i was at home and not wearing makeup.
* Doesn't get rid of scarring or PIH

This stuff is amazing! ive tried to get rid of my acne for a year. My acne was predominantly on my cheeks. I think the reason why it worked so well in my case is because i am a picker. We all know that picking gives you scars and spreads bacteria. So i learnt the appropriate way to pick a pimple (sterilised needle etc) and when i was done i'd put a thin layer of neosporin over the top. I've used this for one month at night and now i rarely get breakouts. Any i do get (probably because of makeup) heal quickly with no scarring. If you couple neosporin with the correct exfoliating/cleansing techniques you will be targeting two of the causes of acne (bacteria and clogged pores) I cleanse with a gentle cleanser. Exfoliate every 2-3 days with St Ives apricot scrub using the olay cleansing system (cheapy version of clarasonic) and i eat well and have cut out dairy and sugar. I'm now going to be doing a series of chemical peels to clear up any left over scars and PIH. Neosporin heals soo quickly and I'm a poor healer! This is a Godsend!

Pros:

heals pimples and scabs
doesn't dry out skin
clear gel doesn't stain

Cons:

looks oily
rubs off easily (if I use it at night, I have to put on a band-aid)

This is the best treatment I know for popped pimples and the resulting scabs. I don't use it regularly as prevention but it's great for treatment of existing wounds. I know it's much better to leave them alone but sometimes I just can't and when I'm left with a scab, this is what I use to heal it. My skin is very prone to scarring and this seems to help prevents scars as much as possible. I keep applying it 3+ times a day, including with a band-aid for overnight, until 2-3 days after the redness/infected look has gone, then I switch to vitamin E oil to heal the scab.

Pros:

it works GREAT when it works. will not dry, and you probably wont have to go and buy it because everybody has it.

Cons:

after about a year of using it, all my acne had become resistant to it.

use for emergencies ONLY.

Pros:

If you have a popped pimple it will dry it out and will help reduce the scarring

Cons:

I don't think there is one.

This is a great tool in fighting acne. I spot treat with this. If i have a pimple I use a blob of this on the pimple with the BP. It reduces and disinfects it. If you have severe acne (I've never had) I would imagine it would help dry it out as well and disinfect it. FYI if you want to save money go to CVS or whatever buy the generic one, it should be bigger and it's the exact same thing. I use the ointment not the cream one. The ointment seems to last longer. I use it before bed not during the day.

Pros:

It works. Period.

Cons:

Again- as many others, wondering if there is resistance?

Use it once a week and don't touch your face.

Heals scars.
Heals infections. *Perfect*

Cons:

Can get alittle greasy, just appy to pimples.

I had a really bad staph infection on my face because of a nasty pimple. School was about to start and i was so freaked out. I put a bandaid on it, covered with neosporin the WHOLE unsightly thing was gone in 3 days! miricle huh!?

Pros:

makes zits basically disappear

Cons:

supposedly you can build up a resistance, hasn't happened to me tho

I know you're not supposed to pop zits, but with this stuff it's ok because after you pop and the blood starts to clot dab a little of this stuff on there and the next day i guarantee the next day it will be half the size and redness will disappear.
