Pros:

It feels light and absorbs easily without leaving a residue. It has never broken me out, which I was afraid a moisturizer would do. No fragrance, which I like. It's also pretty cheap.

Cons:

For a period of two weeks, my face would get really red everytime I was in a dry room (it's freezing in NY and the heat is way up). I suppose I didn't use enough lotion to counteract this dryness. Also, it's hard to carry the lotion around - I wish they made a traveling size!

I use a full pump on my face, let it absorb for ten to fifteen minutes, then use another half pump for particularly dry areas like my cheeks. This is a great lotion; I use it as part of the DKR regimen and my skin is completely clear of acne after four weeks on the regimen (I put that I have light acne, which I did before I started the regimen).

Not Good For Oily Skin
This is thicker than the CeraVe facial moisturizers, but not as thick as the Cetaphil moisturizer. Besides the thickness, this is extremely identical to the CeraVe PM facial moisturizer. This absorbs well, hydrates well, and does not have a shine, or leave the skin pale. It moisturizes much better than the Acne.org Cleanser. When applying over benzoyl peroxide, the moisturizer can clump. This is not completely avoidable, but allowing the benzoyl peroxide to completely dry, along with gently rubbing a generous amount helps. After the moisturizer dries, brush off the flakes. If you have oily skin, this moisturizer could be problematic for you. As I mentioned above, this moisturizers very well. People with oily skin will experience over hydrated skin, leading to increased shine and breakouts. Also, over the course of a couple weeks it will build a waxy layer on your skin that cannot be washed off (but will eventually subside when use of the moisturizer stops).

I disagree, I have severe oily skin and cystic acne. This is the only moisturizer i have found that I can use, as it is think it is not heavy or buttery, it absorbs nicely and last all day. This is the month six of use and I do not have excessive oily skin anymore, still fighting cystic acne but with this moisturizer and the Cerave face wash i no longer look like an oil slick, it has also helped my skin pigmentation, i really find this lotion amazing for my oily skin and would recommend it.

Pros:

moisturizers throughout day, leaves no shine, no harmful ingredients, improved my skin's moisture balance, absorbs into skin great

Cons:

none i can really think of..

I love this product! I use this product with clean & clear sensitive foaming cleanser and I used to always have dry skin after washing my face. i used cetaphil lotion and moisturizer but it didn't regulate my moisture balance + it broke me out. This lotion has brought back the balance in my skin. Now most of the time I don't even need to moisturize when I finish wanting, but i still apply the lotion because it's pleasant, doesn't break me out, and i don't like cheating my skin out of moisture. cetaphil = greasy, cerave = moisturizing.

Pros:

Doesn't clog my pores, never given me a breakout, goes on light, doesn't leave a greasy residue, keeps my face moisturized, lasts a long time (about 3-4 months per bottle).

Cons:

Sort of pricey, I still have to exfoliate every once in awhile

This is the best moisturizer I have ever used. I was afraid to use a moisturizer at first because every single one has made me break out, but CevaVe gives my skin the moister it needs in the places where it needs it and actually helps my oily spots to become less oily. I can't imagine being without CeraVe, I can always count on the fact that my skin will be kept calm and moisturized with it.

Almost perfect! Just one flaw... OILY SKIN INDUCING
OK! So, this moisturizer kills dans (for my skin type.. I have beach tan semi-sensitive skin) Dans always kept my skin feeling dry and flaky no matter what! But, this product makes me skin feel sooo nice and comfortable. I only use this at night when I put benzoyl peroxide because it's the only thing that can take the dryness away. In the morning it's just cleanse with Cerave Hydrating Cleanser and moisturize with Neutrogena oil-free moisture. Ok now here's unfortunate flaw.. it makes me so freaking oily. I mean it's okay because I'm just sleeping with oily skin but could that cause more acne? If anybody else gets the same results as me from this let me know. Hopefully you have solutions :)

Best all around moisturizer I've used.

Pros:

Non greasy
Doesn't cause breakouts

Cons:

Very greasy
Causes breakouts
I'm kidding, no real cons

I've been using this moisturizer for a few weeks now and it hasn't caused me to break out any more than normal which is pretty much the most important thing for me when starting a new product. It doesn't leave a greasy feeling after application like Cetaphil did for me (I have oily skin) and it hydrates well enough. I will definitely continue to use this for all my dry skin needs.

Pros:

not a single breakout, great moisturizer, great price

Cons:

no SPF--can't wear in summer; wish they had a travel sized one too

I break out from everything except this stuff. It moisturizes even though I use Renova. BUT, and this is a biggie, NO SPF. No idea why, but can only use this during non-summer months.

Like an ex you keep running back to ;)
My derm recommended this moisturizer to me several years ago and it's the one thing I can say saves my skin. Any time I stray from it my skin reminds me of what it really wants! Then I keep going back... Used morning and night (I live in the desert w 0% humidity and hard water so hydration is a must for me) it helps w the dryness and flakiness I've had w any acne product. I started Dans regimen 8 days ago and just couldn't stick w his moisturizer. It was still leaving me a scaly mess! And it broke me out so much. I just switched back to Cerave and can already see the difference. Hopefully this w dans cleanser and bp will finally be the perfect balance for me. As frustrating as it is to hear, you really have to try a product for yourself before you know if it works. Certain ingredients will work for you and some won't, and reading 1,000 reviews isn't gonna change that. Listen to your body, be gentle (like Dans advice!) take everything you read here with a grain of salt, and don't stress too much!

Pros:

-Very light
-Moisturizes very well
-Gets rid of flakiness & redness
-NOT oily

Cons:

-Takes practice to use the lotion properly

It doesn't feel thick at all like most moisturizers. The best part is that my skin doesn't feel dry with the lotion and it doesn't make my skin any more oily than it already is. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because you have to apply A LOT of the lotion if you are using Dan's BP. If you don't use a lot then the cream dries up quickly and leaves a lot of residue (especially if you have facial hair). If you use the 2-3 pumps Dan recommends make sure to use a lot of the lotion. I use .5-1 pump so I don't need to apply so much of the moisturizer.

Pros:

Mixed with a couple of drops of jojoba oil, it does take away the flakiness. I like how light it feels, not creamy.

Cons:

N/A

After using this for the first day, it left my face tight and red, like a sunburn, for 2 days. Then my skin peeled a little bit. Now, my skin is fine but I have to mix in jojoba oil for it to work. I like how it moisturizes the rest of my body. I'm just not sure if it's doing anything for my face.
