Pros:

-Moisturizes skin
-Easy to find in stores

Cons:

-Thick feeling

This stuff works, but is kinda thick. A few drops of jojoba oil helps to improve the consistency. Since it doesn't have SPF, I usually just use it at night.

Pros:

a little goes a long way, made my skin soft, non-comedogenic

Cons:

none that I've noticed

This was my dad's, I used it when I was at the beach and all the swimming made my skin feel dry. the next morning after I put it on, my skin felt so soft! I loved it. I noticed a few reviews said it made skin oily; to be honest I'm not sure, my skin's oily either way but I didn't notice a difference. If it makes a difference, I used the kind for sensitive skin...

Pros:

Very Hydrating
Non-comodegenic.

Cons:

It does leave a very thick, oily residue on skin. It is quite heavy.

I had incredibly dry and flaky skin from BP, i tried many Moisturizers but none of them seemed to get rid of the flakes. I was getting so self-conscious about them. I saw this in a shop and tried the tester. My flakey skin almost completely went away immediately. After a couple of days I was flake free. The skin does get oily but I think thats much better than flakey skin. Basically, if you need a very strong moisturizer and don't mind getting a bit oily, then use this, it is great.

Pros:

-Great light moisturizer
-Keeps skin soft and hydrated
-Perfect for dry, sensitive skin
-No SPF, so it's perfect for nighttime

Cons:

-Takes a while to rub in, not as easily absorbed as some other facial moisturizers (more similar to a regular lotion)
-No SPF, so I can't use it for day-time

I use this as my nighttime facial moisturizer and as my all-over body moisturizer for after shower and whenever else I need it. I require a daytime moisturizer with SPF for my dry, sensitive, extremely fair skin - but I also require a nighttime moisturizer with absolutely no SPF, so I'm always going to need at least two moisturizers. I don't mind though, especially since I've found two perfect ones (both Cetaphil, somewhat to my surprise). I used to have a somewhat ridiculous moisturizing routine - after the shower, I'd put on Neutrogena body oil, then neutrogena lotion, then neutrogena moisturizer (spf for day or non-spf for night), then neutrogena hand cream, then aquaphor on my elbows and whatever else I needed. With all those products, and I really did need them to prevent dry patches, I was spending too much money and my face would sometimes still break out from the Neutrogena stuff (though I loved it... because it was Neutrogena). Now, after shower, I really only have two products... this moisturizer and the spf one that Cetaphil also makes. I love that I can use this on my face and body as well, and it works equally well on both! The only down-size is that it's not absorbed as quickly on the face as a regular facial moisturizer... it's more like using a regular body lotion which takes a little longer to absorb. I don't mind though, because I only use this on my face at night (it might look a little greasy for daytime). It's still a great product and I'll hopefully be using it for many years to come!

Pros:

-Clears up clogged pores on forehead
-Calms redness
-Leaves your face soft after cleansing
-Smooths roughness
-Doesn't cause breakouts

Cons:

-Can make face look a little shiny

I love this lotion! I have spent so much money on lotions that only moderately did the job. This lotion got rid of those weird Milia like bumps on my forehead that I'm assuming were caused by dryness. This also helps calm redness alot (which i get cause I use Salicylic acid). My FAVORITE part though is how when you use it after cleansing, your face feels so smooth and the dryness from the cleanser just disappears.

Very light and suitable for my sensitive acne-prone skin!
I don't really understand the bad reviews here, maybe it's that we have different types of skin. But as for me, it works very well. I have been suffering from a very bad acne-prone skin with the non-stop growth of cystic acne. Did try a lot of skin care that contains alcohol and didn't work. I even got prescription from doctor to consume accutane, which became even worse. Lastly, i was introduced to Cetaphil by my pharmacist cousin. I must say that this is not recommended to those who expect your skin to heal in 1-2 weeks, no. I have been using this for about 6 months and thank God, my cystic acne started to sink down and stopped growing. It moisturizes my skin very well since i have a cronic dry skin. The results might be a little bit slow to be seen, but as long as it heals as time passes, this is great for me. I use this right after i wash my face with Cetaphil cleanser. Try it out!

Broke me out
Seemed alright for the first few days but after 3-5 days (how long it usually takes me to start seeing breakouts from an irritant) I broke out badly on my chin and cheek. Very disappointing as there is a very limited choice of decent moisturisers in Ireland...no CeraVe (which I was using before with no issue) as [link removed] won't even ship it here. I'm usually not super sensitive to products that claim to be non-comedogenic so this surprised me but I can't deny that it's the only thing I've changed in my routine. Don't know what else there really is to try, most moisturisers here are either for ageing skins and too rich or for teens and contain salycitic acid which drys me out too much. Any recs for a good moisturiser available in Ireland for combo skin treated with Retin-A would be great! If you are deciding between Cetaphil and CeraVe for any product I've found CeraVe to have much higher quality ingredients, lots of stuff that's in high-end creams, Cetaphil is kind of the low-rent version.

Great moisturiser to use alongside drying acne treatments

Pros:

Very moisturising and leaves skin smooth and flake free
Does not break me out!
A little goes a long way

Cons:

Can appear shiny, especially if you use too much
No spf

I was surprised to see such negative reviews for this moisturiser on here. I know it doesn't suit everyone, but when using it for what it is intended for I've found it to be the best of its kind that I can easily get hold of here in the UK. Let's be clear, this moisturiser is intended for "very dry sensitive skin" or "following certain dermatological treatments" meaning that if you're using it on its own for oily, acne-prone skin you're bound to be disappointed. I've always used it in conjunction with either Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% or Epiduo and for me it is a godsend because it keeps my skin smooth, moisturised and flake free after such harsh treatments but does not cause me to break out anew. The only criticisms I have is that it can appear shiny on the skin, especially if you use too much, and it doesn't contain spf so it is a really great moisturiser for nighttime use but I am still searching for a good moisturiser for during the day! Conclusion: if used for what it's intended for this is a really gentle and highly effective moisturiser.

Pros:

Made my dry skin feel nice and smooth
Didn't break me out

Cons:

Very thick

I use this moisturizer at night since it is so thick. I just apply it to my dry flakes and in the morning it looks pretty even. It does take a while for my skin to "absorb" the product.
