Cetaphil : Moisturizing Lotion

Okay, like many people, I have been on the prowl for a great moisturizer forever (especially now in the winter)! Then this little beauty fell in my hands. It is great. What can I say? It moisturizes so well it's not even funny. Oh, and to all you reviewers who complain about the greasy/shiny look, it's supposed to be that way for a reason!!!! Shiny=thick and thick=long lasting. In order for it to be long lasting, it has to take a while to absorb!!! Which actually isn't all that long (about 10-20 min.) Plus, I love the look of a nice, shiny face for some reason. I think it makes me look more prepared and vibrantly personable. People, it is damn near impossible to have a moisturizer be effective and non-greasy/thick. It has those qualities for a good reason. As far as causing breakouts, I did just break out this week. HOWEVER. I think its because I've missed several night time DK regimen applications (sorry Dan I'm working on it). So you're thinking about using this product but want a little guidance? That's what I was like a few weeks ago. I have been using Dan's products and regimen [VERY strictly] for 7 months now. When he came out with the new moisturizer, I didn't like it one bit. But I thought maybe I'll learn to like it, so I used it for a while. Nope. I still didn't like it. So I started searching for better options. I liked the reviews about this moisturizer, so I gave it a go. I have been using it for a few weeks now and I must say I like it a lot more than Dan's moistuizer. It doesn't feel as greasy. And Cetaphil did not cause any breakouts of any kind. As a side note, my skin was 100% acne free when I started using Cetaphil, and it's still 100% clear. Hope this helps anyone in need. Good luck to you.

Best moisture advice ever: At night, use a VERY generous amount of this and add 5-10 drops of jojoba oil. Watch miracles occur. My skin was dry, peeling, flaking, red, tight, and basically a mess. I started using this at night instead of Dan's new moisturizer and it finally brought much needed hydration to my face. I still use Dan's moisturizer in the morning because it's less shiny and greasy.

For me, this took care or the dryness and flakiness caused by the regimen much better than the Acne.org moisturizer and jojoba oil. I would recommend this for anyone that's still struggling with flakey skin.

BEST non-comedogenic moisturizer to relieve dryness from BP!

This was my dad's, I used it when I was at the beach and all the swimming made my skin feel dry. the next morning after I put it on, my skin felt so soft! I loved it. I noticed a few reviews said it made skin oily; to be honest I'm not sure, my skin's oily either way but I didn't notice a difference. If it makes a difference, I used the kind for sensitive skin...

I use this as my nighttime facial moisturizer and as my all-over body moisturizer for after shower and whenever else I need it. I require a daytime moisturizer with SPF for my dry, sensitive, extremely fair skin - but I also require a nighttime moisturizer with absolutely no SPF, so I'm always going to need at least two moisturizers. I don't mind though, especially since I've found two perfect ones (both Cetaphil, somewhat to my surprise). I used to have a somewhat ridiculous moisturizing routine - after the shower, I'd put on Neutrogena body oil, then neutrogena lotion, then neutrogena moisturizer (spf for day or non-spf for night), then neutrogena hand cream, then aquaphor on my elbows and whatever else I needed. With all those products, and I really did need them to prevent dry patches, I was spending too much money and my face would sometimes still break out from the Neutrogena stuff (though I loved it... because it was Neutrogena). Now, after shower, I really only have two products... this moisturizer and the spf one that Cetaphil also makes. I love that I can use this on my face and body as well, and it works equally well on both! The only down-size is that it's not absorbed as quickly on the face as a regular facial moisturizer... it's more like using a regular body lotion which takes a little longer to absorb. I don't mind though, because I only use this on my face at night (it might look a little greasy for daytime). It's still a great product and I'll hopefully be using it for many years to come!

I love this lotion! I have spent so much money on lotions that only moderately did the job. This lotion got rid of those weird Milia like bumps on my forehead that I'm assuming were caused by dryness. This also helps calm redness alot (which i get cause I use Salicylic acid). My FAVORITE part though is how when you use it after cleansing, your face feels so smooth and the dryness from the cleanser just disappears.

I only use this for touch ups on dry and itchy parts of my face. I wouldnt apply it all over since i have major oily skin.
