Pros:

-Will hydrate your skin for the whole day. Absolutely NO dryness.
-Has a mild AHA (5% lactic acid) that will help control flakes and even contribute to the prevention and fight with acne. (Not enough to depend on by itself though)
-No smell
-A lot in one bottle

Cons:

-Pretttttttty thick. You're gonna get pretty fustrated trying to spread this stuff around.
-WILL. STING. SO. MUCH. But this subsides in about 30 minutes afterwards, and gets better the more you use it and the more your skin gets used to it.
-The bottle is squeeze :/. I'd rather pumps.
-Requires a SPF. Don't go out in the sun for long periods of times without protection.

This is a quality moisturizer. It will hydrate your skin, control flakes, and even help a bit with your acne. While it is thick, its still thinner than things such as Cetaphil. If you have tolerance for the stinging and can be smart with it, I recommend this 100%.

Pros:

It moisturizies really well, and evens out skin texture without being too oily. I have discoloration because of irritation and this really evened out tone throughout my face but...

Cons:

It broke me out. It says that it doesnt clog pores, but Im pretty sure that within a week I started breaking out more so than i already do because of it.

If it doesnt break you out, go for it.

Pros:

Oil-free, non-comedogenic, has lactic acid, fragrance free, large bottle, won't aggravate acne-prone skin.

Cons:

Turns skin a bit pink/red sometimes. Would probably be too strong for people with very sensitive skin.

I really like Lac-Hydrin Five. If your skin does well with AHA's or you just want a mild exfoliating moisturizer, this is a good one. A little tip about using this, wash your hands first and while they are still a bit wet squirt a few pea-sized blobs of LHF into your palm and rub your hands together, then apply to the face. This thins it out a bit and it goes on well. I use this moisturizer with Dan's regimen and it works very well.

Pros:

moisturizes your face like it says it does, Doesn't leave skin oily (I have an oily T-zone and it doesn't leave it shiny), Nice consistancy so it's easy to apply, 8 oz bottle lasts a couple of months

Cons:

When used with the regimen it really does make your face burn and turn red.I've been using it for two months and i still get this effect.

I think by itself, this would a great lotion. However, if you plan on doing the regimen this will make sting. With Benzoyl Peroxide your face becomes more sensitive and using a lotion like this, just makes it even more sensitive, making it turn red and burn. I am on the regemin and Im looking into other lotions.

Pros:

Gets rid of acne!

Cons:

Very drying.

i am 26 and have had acne for 12 years - cystic, scarring acne. This product has almost completely cleared up my skin in only 1 week! I've tried every prescription topical, the tetracyclines and even filled a script for Accutane - but haven't needed to start it. I only use it at night and sometimes just as a spot treatment but it's really drying. I was using the Glytone Acne kit for a few days (which has BP) but stopped b/c i don't think I need it. The Lac Hydrin 5 is good enough by itself!

The Best Moisturizer
If you're not used to AHA it will sting and feel uncomfortable the first few times you use it, but I swear by this stuff now. It makes my face glow, gets rid of newly formed acne quickly, and actually makes my face feel moisturized. It does cause flaking if you're using it for the first time or haven't used it in a while, but I think it is well worth it. Edit: I used this when I was living abroad and acne.org moisturizer was too expensive to ship. Looking back, made my skin way too sun sensitive and preferred the acne.org old formular moisturizer.

Pros:

I use this stuff to manage my really dry yet oily combo skin on my face. It works really well, and I don't have to worry about it wearing off.

Cons:

It stings after application, and also predisposes your skin to sun damage.

Great moisturizer, be sure to wear sunscreen during the day while using this lotion. Beware of applying this lotion to sunburnt skin! OUCH! So far, I've found that LacHydrin does not clog pores, though it may feel lightly greasy on the skin. Any burning sensation felt upon application should subside within 1-2 minutes, then your skin will feel great.
