Great moisturizer that won’t cause acne!

Best moisturizer I have tried. I use it with the regimen. It does not cause acne. It makes my skin glow. It works well under SPF (I use Cetaphil Dermacontrol SPF 30 on top of it). It fully absorbs in. It does not pill. I think it helps with post acne marks too by fading them with the licochalone. It also has antioxidants which I like.

Don't like the change

I really loved this lotion until the ingredient change this year. The prior version was amazing and I would have given it a 5/5, however the new version does not do nearly as good of a job moisturizing. Even after putting on several layers of the new version, my skin still feels dry. I really hope it goes back to the previous ingredients, as the yellow coloration didn't bother me in the slightest.

not what I expected

I will start off saying I do not know how the old formulation compared to this one. However, one thing I do like about this moisturizer is that it does not irritate skin or cause any breakouts. That being said I am older with oily skin and even I don't find this formulation to be hydrating enough. Even with adding the additional jojoba oil drops or the Vinchy 89 hydrating serum. Since I almost 30 now I understand that with acne products if you use them you need something very hydrating to counteract that. Even with oily skin type and adding in the additional hydrators to help its still not moisturizing enough. I feel like the moisturizer is not a dud but something could be added to really amp this up, there are so many products on the market.

Good Lightweight Moisturizer

I don't have a problem with this moisturizer. I have finnicky skin and live in a humid climate, so my skin hates too much hydration. This moisturizer is so lightweight and has good ingredients like lichochalcone, which helps reduce my redness. It sinks in quickly, too. No smell. Has a funny yellow color, but does not bother me at all. I don't report any change to my skin color from the product as others reported.

I can see why some people don't like it. If you need something heavier, this isn't for you. This works perfectly for me because my skin is normal and doesn't require much moisture. But if you are normally dry, I would recommend something heavier.

I gave this moisturizer a second chance!!

If you’ve been with acne.org for awhile, you remember the original moisturizer before this one. It was the BEST, but then sadly they discontinued it, and I tried this moisturizer and didn’t love it as much. So I started using Cetaphil instead, and did so for several years. A few months ago I needed to order more cleanser and BP. I noticed the moisturizer and thought, “what the heck. It’s been awhile, I’ll give it another try!” Oh my goodness I love it! It’s so much better than Cetaphil and other moisturizers that have come and gone over the years. It has the perfect balance: It moisturizes yet feels light on my skin. I have oily skin and in the past i always needed to use those oil blotting sheets every couple hours. Now I only use 1 a day, sometimes none! This moisturizer is LIFE!!

Exactly. Maybe all of these people with complaints need to evaluate other things they are doing and try to work with the new formula. I have never experienced anything they claim and I actually think this moisturizer is the best overall for daily use that I have used.

Best moisturizer!!

I had a few pimples and started using the regimen it got me all cleared out and now I particularly just use the moisturizer! (Keep in mind I only had a few pimples) I don't use any other moisturizer for the past few years! Give it a try!!

Great for use with adapalene

I started adapalene 0.1% gel two weeks ago and this moisturizer has been a godsend during this retinization period. I overdid it with the adapalene the first week by applying every night, which made my skin tight and red, with some mild swelling around my eyes. Cetaphil moisturizing lotion wasn’t providing enough relief so I switched to Acne.org’s moisturizer. It was so soothing! It feels light, though still hydrating enough to repair my dryness. Within two days, my skin calmed down. Now, I use adapalene every other day with this moisturizer, and my skin is no longer irritated. It dries quickly on my face and leaves a healthy glow (not an oily sheen). Love this product and so glad I had it around the house when I started a retinoid!

Perfect

I had a bottle of this on my shelf for a while but never fully committed to it as I felt it wasn’t hydrating enough.

But then came the game changer: tretinoin. Whilst acne.org’s moisturiser wasn’t hydrating to see me through the actual process of adapting to a retinoid, once I was through the initial dryness, redness, general mayhem of retinoid-adjusting skin, this moisturiser became my HG.

Light, full of effective ingredients, it creates a smooth surface that makeup grips to. No need for a primer. And the jojoba oil balances my skin so that it never gets oily. The wonder of skin-identical oil.

I live in the UK so I bulk buy the big 16oz bottles, which last me ages (and I use all over my body).

Thanks Dan for a truly effective product! Don’t ever discontinue!

Best moisturizer to use with benzoyl peroxid

I use this moisturizer with acne.org cleanser and treatment since 5 weeks, it’s the winning combination !

My skin is sensitiv so I had hard times using peroxid benzoyl 2 times a day even respecting the dosage, I wrote an email and the same day I received a new program advicing me to use the moisturizer as much as possible. Since then my skin is not itchy anymore And iimproves every day. Thank you acne.org, you changed my life !

Fairly good

Although the moisturiser is yellow, 10 minutes after applying it on your face, the colour will be disappear. The longer the moisturiser stays on your face, the more "matt" it becomes. Initially, you may look greasy and oily but give it 30 minutes, it should look matt.

What I found interesting about this moisturiser is that whenever I am in an air-con room or if I have a fan blowing at me, my face begins to feel dry, although I may have applied the moisturiser within the last 30 minutes.

I would share that it is not the most moisturizing product out there, but it does the job. I would recommend adding 2 drops of jojoba oil for added moisturising effect while not looking too shiny or oily.
