Pros:

-Moisturizes well
-Absorbs fully and quickly
-Gets rid of flakiness and dryness when proper amount is used, or used with jojoba oil

Cons:

-Leaves my face a bit oily after it dries (although that could be because I add jojoba oil to it)
-Sometimes drips down my neck and face
-A little bit sticky

I use this mainly at night and mix it with a little jojoba oil before I go to bed because it gives my face a far too oily appearance for daily use. However it works like a charm! My face is flake free when I wake up and no residue is left on my face. The only complaint I have is that it's a bit sticky and it feels a bit awkward to lay sideways on a pillow. Other than that it's a great product!

Pros:

light, non-oily, absorbs fast, provides enough moisture, soothing

Cons:

none

I've used the old formula and that usually left me a bit shiny. This newer formula provides just enough moisture while giving me a matte look, I find it sufficient for keeping my skin in good shape even in the winter months, there is no stinging or balling up. My skin is on the oily side and does not flake even from large amounts of BP. If you have oily skin and you don't suffer serious dry flaking skin from BP then you will probably like this new formula. However, I think a richer lotion/cream may be necessary if you are on the dry side and a fan of the older formula, try cetaphil/cerave instead.

Pros:

NOTHING TERRIBLE!

Cons:

Very Thick Cream
Does NOT Absorb quickly, You need to sit there in front of the mirror rubbing your face for like 10 minutes before it all absorbs.
Your face DOES NOT stay moisturized. After 3 hours your face will feel VERY TIGHT and DRY!! Made my face more red, STUNG my face when I applied it (because it has Alpha Hydroxy Acid in the Ingredients!!!) and blemishes more vibrant. Awful.

Ive been using Dan's New Moisturizer for a month now and I just absolutely hate how thick it is over your face, and how it stings my face and takes FOREVER to absorb!! agggh I almost feel like when I see my face in the sunshine it shows off all my acne and imperfections in my skin because theres a huge layer of thick cream over it.

Which moisturizer u using now?
January 22, 2011

Pros:

non-comedogenic
feels light

Cons:

Terrible color - stains shirts, towels, everything.
Dan - as someone who uses Benzoyl Peroxide (and knows its bleaching properties), you should know the embarassment, expense, and annoyance of constantly ruining your clothes and linens. It's awful. I was perfectly happy with the old moisturizer - PLEASE BRING IT BACK

Also, doesn't moisturize as well as the old one.

not worth the expense of new clothes, towels, sheets not worth the added paranoia of staining something else - we're already hyper-aware of bleaching things with the BP - now we have something new to worry about. not worth the embarassment of a yellow ring around the collar of your shirt

Pros:

goes on smoothly, easily, absorbs quickly

Cons:

allergic reaction to the new formula. Eyes swollen and skins around eyes red, itchy, puffy (reaction lasts for 3 days), waited til gone then tried again (with the same swollen reaction)

I've been using Dan's program for 5 years now, long before he even had his own products. I loved all of the products including the old formula. It cleared my skin and I've been clear for 5 years. With the new moisturizer I have horrible, itchy eyes, swollen around the eyes even though I've been extremly careful about not getting it near my eyes. I'd go back to the old formula if I could. Please bring back the old formula. (AHA also gave the same eye reaction and the ingredient that was in the AHA and the new moisturizer is the licorice root... could that be the only problem in the new formula?)

Pros:

feels smooth and great going on, calming and soothing to skin, extremely moisturising, does not aggravate or cause any breakouts

Cons:

does not eliminate flakiness ENTIRELY but even so, it does help to a certain extent

i love this moisturizer! it is extremely extremely soothing to irritated dry skin after BP treatment. does not cause breakouts even when you slather on a thick layer. tones down redness and irritation - probably the lichocalcone ingredient working. it feels absolutely great going on, very calming. buy it!

Pros:

Very moisturizing, good price.

This works very well! It does cause my skin to appear oily but it's actually less oily then before the regimen. Even though it makes me a little oily, the oil didn't cause any acne when I used this as part of the regimen. And the regimen completely got rid of my acne.

Pros:

-Moisturizes very well, sans the greasy/filmy feeling.
- Extremely absorbent. i feel like it soaks right into my skin after about 10 minutes.
-When used daily in the morning, it allows my sensitive skin to tolerate AHA almost every evening after bp

Cons:

N/A- I love this product so far.

This is a serious, daily surge of moisture for the skin. I don't know if it's the jojoba oil or what--- but some ingredient in there is keeping me from looking like an oil slick, while somehow keeping my skin supple and moist thruout the entire day. I'm thrilled.

Pros:

dries quickly with no oiliness
moisturizes extremely well (flakiness completely disappeared)

Cons:

(Who wants to moisturize when you've got acne? .... but ya.. you just got to)

I love love love it. New to acne.org (3 weeks), was having extreme burning with neutrogena on the spot and my skin was one giant flake. I switched to acne.org bp and new moisturizer at the same time, burning with bp COMPLETELY ended, and this moisturizer knocked those flakes off my face by day 3. Skin went from giant scab to not a single flake (even with full make-up), no oiliness after product has absorbed, and so far it doesn't seem to be irritating my acne whatsoever (so a smooth transition into my regimen). Oh ya - spent 58 dollars on my favorite dermalogica moisturizer about a week before starting this one and it did NOTHING for the extreme dryness. This moisturizer, again, had the entire face-scab gone by morning 3.

Bring back the old formula please!
The new formula leaves my skin tight and dry. I've started breaking out again since using it. Has anyone found another moisturizer that compares to the old one?
