Pros:

Moisturizes very well
Takes care of flakes
Doesn't need added jojoba
Very light
Easy to apply and absorbs well

Cons:

Smells really funky when applying
Leaves me kind of oily/greasy looking
Yellow tint

Overall, I love it. Best moisturizer I have used, and I've used many. The yellow tint and smell are the only real downsides. It makes me a little greasy looking but not bad at all and better than most moisturizers. Gets rid of ALL my dryness. I only use jojoba at night for extra moisturizer and it is perfect without it as well. With jojoba be prepared to be very shiny because it already has some jojoba in it. Definitely will be using this from now on. It is awesome.

Pros:

NONE!!! Literally None!

Cons:

Didn't Moisturize!!! (even with 6 pumps)

I wanted to like this lotion so bad, but just couldn't. It really is a terrible moisturizer. I honestly felt like this made my skin even more dry than before. My skin was completely ruined from this product. My acne came back, my skin turned red (like when i started the regimen), along with the flakes (again, like when i started the regimen), itchy, tender, and just almost raw feeling... Basically my skin went from close to perfect until i decided to switch to this moisturizer, at that point my skin completely returned to how it was before i ever started the regimen. I was sooo upset. This is the first review i have ever done, because i dont want anyone to go through that experience!! PS. I wanted to like this product so bad, i even tried the recommended by DAN, use more approach, to the point of using 6 full pumps, which literally completely filled the palm of my hand which seemed ridiculous and unrealistic to do everyday 2 times a day. not only would you run out of product extremely fast but for daytime use? ehh i dont think soo!!! furthermore, 6 PUMPS STILL DIDN'T MOISTURIZE!!!!! so at that point i'd had enough and sent the product back! Horrible experience please be advised.

Pros:

Light
No scent
contains licorice root
doesn't sting

Cons:

doesn't take care of flaky skin
greasy/doesn't absorb well (probably b/c of jojoba oil as 2nd ingredient)

i just started the regimen last month..the cleanser and bp are really goood..but the moisturizer doesn't cut it..it does moisture for like an hour...but after that my face feel like i have never put it on..in my opinion, dans should put less jojoba oil in the moisturizer (too much jojoba oil in the moisturizer make it hard for my skin to absorb) and instead put more Methyl Gluceth-20 in there as a second ingredient behind water...or use some other moisture ingredient..thats just my opinion...

Pros:

None

Cons:

Gave me strange bumps under the skin. Also gave me red streak marks and itchiness. Doesn't appear to be allergy tested.

I was so eager to try the new moisturizer, but I must have some type of allergic reaction to the ingredients. My skin felt itchy after I applied it. Then I started getting little red streak marks and under-the-skin bumps. Still I continued to use the moisturizer over the acne.org BP for the next four days, despite the under-the-skin bumps and little red streak marks. But the red streak marks and under-the-skin bumps did not go away-- they persisted and increased!!! Now I have four under-the-skin bumps and two red marks on my face. My face was nearly clear until I used this moisturizer!!!! To make matters worse, when I get these red marks and bumps, I get scars. And I scar very badly since my skin is olive-colored and prone to hyperpigmentation scars that last forever. Looking at another review, I see I'm not the only one experiencing this weird allergic reaction to the new moisturizer. I don't wear makeup at all. I stay out of the sun so I don't wear sunscreen -- so that eliminates any other possible irritants or culprits. I don't normally wear anything on my face except acne.org BP, and honestly I did not mind all the flakes from dryness. It looks like I'll have to go back to being my flaky, dry, BP-only bare-faced self again. I am VERY bitterly disappointed. Sorry, but I would rather walk around with my skin FLAKING TO DEATH than be moisturized and experiencing all these weird bumps and red streak marks. At least flakes don't scar my skin.

Pros:

provides non-greasy, soothing moisture...absorbs well...matte finish...non-comedogenic..cost-effective...

Cons:

none that I can see...

I've been using the entire acne.org line for about a month now, and I adore everything I've tried. I never used the original version of the moisturizer, but I'm quite amazed at the "bad press" the current one is getting. This, in conjunction with the bp, cleanser, aha and jojoba keeps the oil at bay and the new blemishes to a minimum. Great products for my adult/hormonal breakouts.

Pros:

ummm....none:(

Cons:

yellow..yuck..not like the old one

It is my first time trying it so i can't really say much but i've already started to resent it. I really LOVED the old moisturizer and wish it can be put back on the market. I would choose the old moisturizer any other day. Please let me have my old moisturizer back!!!

Pros:

Keeps my face pretty hydrated
Doesn't cause new acne

Cons:

At first, it really burned when applying it after the benzoyl peroxide treatment.

It took some time to get used to. I'll start off by saying that I took some time to get used to benzyol peroxide, it used to make me face itch. But, now I can put it on with no problem. However, when I first used this moisturizer after applying benzoyl peroxide, my face felt like it was burning. I guess it took some time to get use to it, because now, it occasionally burns a tiny bit in some areas. I tried a lot of different moisturizers and I can say that this works very well for me. It doesn't leave my skin too oily or dry. The scent isn't too pleasing, but I'm not picky about the scent.

Pros:

Does not burn or sting my face.

Does not make my face red and painful.

Moisturizes wonderfully without leaving a greasy shine.

Not scented.

No colouring added.

Easy to apply.

Does not leave a weird texture or film over my skin.

Cons:

None.

Very very pleased with this new formulation. It is wonderful to have the moisturizing power without the grease. I've been on the Regimen for a year now, so I have virtually no active acne on my face. This is a great moisturizer for Regimen users.

Pros:

Very light
No shine after application
Definitely doesn't clog pores
Soothes inflammation

Cons:

Moisturizes all in one burst
Doesn't hold moisture in to skin
Takes a long time to apply when using 3 pumps
Rather expensive
Doesn't contain glycerin

Well, considering I have never used the original Acne.org moisturizer, I cannot compare it to this one. However, I feel that this is a great moisturizer for people who are not on the Regimen. If you are using the Regimen or are using products that dry the skin, I do not recommend this moisturizer. This moisturizer does not contain any bit of glycerin, which is a key ingredient in most moisturizers because of its ability to lock in moisture to the skin. The moisture that it does provide seems to evaporate in a few hours. This leaves the skin dry, irritated, and flaky. Although non-comedogenic, the irritation that your skin will go through when using this moistruizer may exacerbate acne to some extent. Out of all of Dan's products, this is the one that I like the least. I must thank Dan, however, for providing this site and for all of his hard work on his line of products. However, this moisturizer just simply doesn't do the trick for me, and as it looks, for a lot of people using the Regimen.

Pros:

- Softer on the skin than the previous moisturizer
- Calming effect
- Feels good when absorbed on skin

Cons:

- Yellow residue can stain white clothing
- Sometimes still stings when putting on

I like this moisturizer much better than the previous one for the many reasons every one else is stating; less irritation, calming, feels good on the skin, etc. Only real drawback is that it leaves a yellow stain around my white collared t shirts where it comes in to contact with my neck. I washed one shirt and it still seems a little of the residue stayed. If there was a way to make it not yellow in color, it would be perfect. Cheers!
