Pros:

Lemon water taste good. Lemons contain a wonderful supply of vitamin C and aides in proper digestion.

Cons:

Lemons are not the least expensive fruit, but that's ok.

This is a part of my whole new skin regimine, thanks to acne.org. I drink a hot cup of lemon water twice daily. I put 1t sugar and let it cool down until not too hot.

Pros:

Cheap, Effective

Cons:

Can taste like #$@%

It works. You have to clean everything up from the inside..that's why it works so well. The taste sucks, but if you hate your zits you'll get over it. I use about 3 tablespoons in an 8 oz. glass of tap water..it works. Do it now. Doesn't have to be fresh lemons, by the way. Buy a bottle of Realemon, or whatever brand of bottled lemon juice is available to you.

Pros:

Healthier Alternative to Antibiotics and Harsh Chemicals

Cons:

I keep running out of lemons, I use 2 per day!

This must be helping me too but I also went with a extremely low fat diet, Simply if I load up on raw fruits and veggies, eat only poultry or fish, a high fiber cereal or plain vanilla yogurt for a snack I will not have one new outbreak. I have extremly terrible and sensitve "female" hormonal acne from imbalanced estrogen/pregesterone/testosterone. Not one over the counter drug or antibiotic or cream improves it at all. In additon to making good diet choices I supplement with chasteberry (vitex)to regulate female hormones as well., Flaxseed oil capsules and a real whole food multivitamin plus a hair, skin nails vitamin too. I do a full lemon topped w/ 16oz water before bfast and another one every night before bed too. Plus at least 2 Cups of green tea and detox tea each per day. I have done it for months, if I go back to my old habits It will take a week but I go back to huge cysts - big as eraser diameter and dozens of comedones.

Pros:

Got rid of acne in a week, smells great, very easy to do and taste is great if you put lemon juice in a cup of hot water

Cons:

It didn't get rid of my hormonal acne around my mouth and chin, but i think that's related to my birth control pill because i have been taking it very sporatically at different times during the day...But my cheeks, forehead, chest, and back are clear!

So yeah i was reading that lemon juice is really good for cleansing your liver, and your liver regulates your hormones, and excessive male hormones cause acne. I've been drinking a hot cup of water with a lemon juice wedge squeezed in it and my cheeks and forehead are so clear i barely have to wear any make up!

Although I began this regimen with water, I've since decided to place the lemon into apple juice instead. The lemony taste is somewhat muted and it has quite a lovely flavor..while also providing all of the necessary benefits! The apple juice (or any other 100% fruit juice) provides an added component in the detoxification process. My skin is glowing with healthiness.

Pros:

It's cheap and easy.

What I do is just put lemons in my water, a friend told me they can help curb cravings if you drink lemon with water and I read on here that it can help with acne. I wouldn't risk ruining my teeth with whole lemons daily but I see a difference with just putting lemons in water and I also steam my face with boiling water once a week and I started putting pieces of lemon in the water. It seems to make a noticeable difference in old acne marks which at one time were bright red and now fading.
