Adult Acne finally cleared!
I have always had issues with my skin since I was a teenager and was prescribed the pill to clear my skin. As soon as I came off the pill I would immediately have a huge outbreak including cystic acne it was so depressing as it lasted into my late 20's becoming even worse when I became pregnant spreading to my chest as well as my face. I couldn't use any foundation or moisturiser on my skin as it would make it worse. I read up on the lemon water drink and thought anything is worth a try and it has many other benefits. I started the lemon drink and knew that there was a chance my skin would get better before getting worse which it did but within a month of the lemon water I have no spots on my face or my chest and no excess oil. Once my scarring has settled then I can quite safely say that I won't have to worry about my skin anymore! Best time to have it is first thing in the morning with warm water in a half pint glass and half a lemon squeezed into it. Drink it half an hour before breakfast and if you wish to sweeten it to make it easier to drink then manuka honey is a good sweetener. I also drink through a straw to avoid any risk of the lemon affecting my teeth and its quicker to drink it this way. Would recommend this to anyone.

Pros:

My forehead acne is gone and my overall complexion is glowing! This hasn't happened for me in at least two years.

Cons:

Over time lemon juice is supposed to wear down the enamel on your teeth. To prevent this I just use a straw and rinse my mouth with water immediately after I drink the lemon juice.

I have had pretty bad acne on my forehead for the past year and no topical treatments have helped. I have been wanting to try a treatment that would cure me from the inside out. I would definitely try drinking lemon juice for at least a week if nothing else has helped your acne (it can't hurt)! I saw noticeable improvement within two days (my forehead acne is completely gone and my complexion looks great!). I drink one cup of warm water mixed with half a fresh squeezed lemon first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. I wait a half hour before eating or drinking anything else. I like to use fresh lemon, but if I don't have any at home, I use a few tablespoons of organic lemon juice from the fridge.

Pros:

cheap, tastes great, balances pH, detoxes liver, tons of pros

Cons:

non

Lemon juice not only changes from acidic to alkaline in the digestive tract, that transformance actually brings our body's pH level back to more normal (especially if we eat a lot of acidic foods like meat, etc)... helps our bodies (liver) regulate themselves, digest better, detoxes by helping the kidneys flush out toxins. Although not a true "con", lemon juice is also a diuretic, so be sure to drink a lot of water to keep hydrated. The water we are drinking will help flush out all the toxins in our system, and the water keeps us hydrated. Try to use either distilled water or filtered water to mix your freshly squeezed lemons for the best effect. Tap water just doesn't do it, so the results may be disappointing. Be prepared to pee like crazy for the first few days, even at night...once our body has gotten used to the lemon juice (I drink it every morning, and sometimes evening), we don't feel the need to pee as often. Small price to pay to feel fabulous, look even fabulouser (lol) and stay healthy. A slightly alkaline body is very healthy...makes our bodies inhospitable for bacteria & viruses, and the benefits are so overwhelmingly positive!

Pros:

Overall improvement in skin.

Cons:

NONE!!!

I put lemon in anything that i drink. I drink water most of the time but every now and then i'll have a sprite or a glass of Kool-aid. Basically i only drink things without caffeine. Caffeine most certainly contributes to acne and anyone that tells you different is a liar. Lemon water has completely changed my life and my skin. I always knew that water was necessary to clear skin but i think adding the lemon only made it better. I have had acne for so long and drinking lemon water has completely changed my life. I am more confident and i even cut my long hair short since my skin has improved so much. I may only get one or two bumps a month, which is better than a whole bunch of them crowding on my cheeks. I have been drinking lemon water for only a few months and none of the medicines i have taken can compare to the results this has done for me.

Pros:

- Works great!
- Inexpensive!
- 100% Natural!
- Better than anything else I've tried!
- Quick and Easy!

Cons:

- The lemon's acid can be quite strong for some.
- The sourness and taste will take time to get used to
- Bad for your teeth
- Causes diarrhea (although this depends on the individual)

Bottom line: It works. I have tried almost everything (except Accutane) and spent years of frustration and tons of money on products that didn't work. What I do is wash and cut one lemon in half, and squeeze half of it into a glass of water. Mix and then drink, one in the morning and one at night. For a couple days I had nasty, black diarrhea (prob the toxins coming out). My skin is clearing! I also lightly apply the lemon juice on my face at night every 2-3 days. Scars are fading too

Pros:

Effective, Cheap, Easy

I've been consuming approxiamtely 3tbsp of the bottled lemon juice in the morning just before breakfast and at night not long before i go to bed. Since doing this i have noticed a considerable improvement in my skin in which most of my pimples has cleared up. I do this and use a face wash that contains salicylic acid and have stopped using a benzoyl peroxide based three step regime. Results began to show after about a week and continued to improve.

Pros:

Awesome, Cheep, Easy

Cons:

None

I started drinking lemon juice because of a sore throat. the acid in the lemon juice kills the bacteria. After i started drinking it, i noticed that it was reducing the numbers of pimples i had. It also reduced the amount of break-outs i have, which now is basically none. it is also reducing the redness that i have had on my face from pimples that i have popped. i think this is one of the only, and also the easiest thing i have found that actually works wonders for acne. it is not just clearing up the acne that i have on my face, it is also clearing up the acne that i have on my chest. I have tried everything possible for acne, i have been to many dermatologist, but none of the medicine that they have gave me has worked as well as the lemon juice has in such a short amount of time. if anyone were to ask me how i cleared up my acne, I would have to tell them that i drink lemon juice. and that it actually works. For me the monthly cost is around $8.00 because i go through one bottle of lemon concentrate a week. i mix it with water and it is just so easy to use, and it gives fast results.

Pros:

Brought shine on skin
Permanently removed my love handles :D
helped with acne
made my figure even awsome :)

Cons:

slight sensitivity in teeth

Well...i read it online to start drinking and from past 2 weeks I have been drinking juice of half a lemon (big lemon to get more juice) in a glass of warm water and little salt to make it drinkable ;). The results are just amazing...my acne breakouts have reduced by 90% and my skin has a very healthy glow to it even though winters are here and my skin should have been dry but it still shines like I have recently got a facial done. Plus a benefit it reduced my love handles, i was always worried because i am not fat but i was getting love handles and I do not have time to work out....the only thing i could do is to walk from my office to home and forth. But that;s all but ever since I have been drinking lemon water i feel more energetic and moreover any digestion problems i had are also gone. Though I feel a little sensitivity in my teeth so I am gonna start drinking it now with a straw but overall i guess i am ready to pay this much for my skin to look beautiful...i have waited to look like this for a long time and it just makes me feel good when the guys just dont stop staring at you :):) good luck to everyone who is trying it already and i would definitely recommend to do it atleast for a month and you will know what i mean by my last sentence in the above paragraph.

Pros:

Tastes nice, Vitamin C, fresh fruit, good for the body

Cons:

Erodes tooth enamel, so my dentist told me to stop drinking lemon water. Some say to drink it with a straw to avoid touching the teeth. Whatever you do, do not brush your teeth after drinking lemon water for at least 1 hour-it will wear enamel away

Lemon and lime juice are healthy, lovely, fresh, cleansing, full of vitamins -- all wonderful. The problem is that fruit acids and other food acids (like vinegar and wine) wear away the enamel of the teeth. My tooth enamel has worn away a lot due to all the acidic foods I used to love, and there is no way to fix this (the re-enamelizing toothpastes don't really put enamel back on your teeth). The dentists say not to brush your teeth after eating anything acidic for at least one hour, to give the teeth time to stabilize before applying the brush to them. My dentist says she can see the brush strokes on the surface of the teeth - due to the acid from the OJ that I drank every morning and then brushed my teeth straight afterwards (before going to work) - it had softened my teeth that much. Please do not trust the review below where the guy says to brush your teeth right after drinking lemon water - you can never get that enamel back. Besides the teeth issue, lemons are great!
