Pros:

it lightens scars, tones, deep cleanses

Cons:

stings for a minute and is not very softening

i soak a cotton pad in the juice and apply gently over my entire face every night. my marks which were red a month ago are almost the same colour as my skin tone. my skin is now paler, so be spot apply if you don't wish to lighten your overall skin tone. be patient with this method, i saw results after about 2 weeks. definitely worth it, it's cheap too.

Pros:

-Currently working well for me. Clearing up acne+scars.
-No returning acne, and cleared up existing acne.
-Cheap, smells great, and you can feel it working on your skin. Also noticed a decrease of the oil on my face.

Cons:

-Stings like the dickens if you get it in a cut, or irritated acne.
-Might appear to make skin worse for the first couple days. This is common in most acne treatments due to your skin/body getting used to the treatment.

I decided to give this a try after having a real bad break out about 4-5 days ago. The medicine the dermatologist gave me was expensive, and wasn't doing as well as it should have been. I went cold turkey on my two topicals, and this was after going cold turkey on the antibiotic pills (minocyclin I think?), about 2 months ago. I can say that when I stopped the pills, I seemed to start clearing up a lot better, and when I stopped the first topical, it got even better. Now that I'm completely off of medication, and just using a basic soap free cleanser (makes my skin feel really good), and lemon juice in the morning and at night applied topically, I've noticed my skin is doing a lot better. Not only that, but it feels better. Smoother than ever before. I would definitely recommend lemon juice for people with acne and oily skin. I think the excess oil on my skin is what caused a lot of my breakouts, and this does a great job of reducing it and keeping it at bay.

Pros:

-Works very well
-Natural
-Cheap

Cons:

-Really only a spot treatment
-Slight burn (but you know it's working)

While I don't put this all over my face, I do apply it to a developing pimple or a recently popped one. Drip a little on a cotton swab and rub over the area. It will either dry out the developing blemish, or clean out the open pore of a popped zit. I use it along with a BP-based cleanser and aloe vera gel. It's great, not only because it works, but because it's also all-natural, costs only a couple bucks for months of use, and is not an embarrassing tube of some cream. As for the burn, it's only slight, and I actually enjoy it because it makes me think that it's doing something. It does dry your skin, but if you use a moisturizer like Fruit Of The Earth Aloe Gel you shouldn't have any problems. As for scarring, I have perceived none. Try this. It really works.
