Pros:

It really works!

Cons:

It stings initially, but it goes away in a few minutes.

This actually does the job! I've tried all kinds of things, even prescribed medications, but they don't work -- lemon juice does! It's affordable and fast.

Pros:

Works wonders! My skin is like porcelain smooth & glowing with use once a night or sometimes in the morning. I see few wrinkles are less noticeable, seem to stretch the skin too!

Cons:

Stings for a minute but goes away.

I thought vitamin C, an antioxidant direct on the skin is great & I was willing to spend lots of money on this product. But I thought, why not try fresh lemon juice, best source of Vit C. So I'd cut up fresh lemon in small wedges & lightly squeeze it all over my face & neck. Stings for a bit that was OK thereafter. Wow, after 6 weeks, Myself & others notice that my skin glows, smooth & reddish blotches dissappeared. I'm not using as much foundation as I used to. Always use sunblock 30-55 SPF. Oh my neck also looks as young as my face. Hey I'm 56 & looks 35. Try this nature's miracle. TIP: store cut up lemons in dark container or jar inside fridge since Vitamin C is destroyed by light. Keep it on face for 10-15 min then rinse & apply your regular face products.

Pros:

On Friday I looked in the mirror and saw a red, oily, inflamed face--so I came here to find help fast. This particular remedy stuck out because of its great reviews. Applied fresh lemon juice to my face that night- in morning face looked MUCH better.

Cons:

Can sting I guess...but it isn't bad at all. More itchy the first time actually.

If you're doubting this remedy and least try it for two nights. If it doesn't help at all, then stop doing it. But I'm positive it will do nothing to worsen your particular situation. Give it a shot--it's worth it.

Pros:

Extremely inexpensive, quick results, no side effects

Cons:

Stings a little, but well worth it for the results!

I wouldn't say I have an acne problem, just a habit of popping or picking at the few pimples I do get. Over time though, the marks left behind start to add up! I had to start wearing makeup to cover the marks so I wouldn't be self conscious when I went out during the day, and I never had to do that before! I'd tried nearly every over-the-counter (or online) acne/ scar treatment, to the point of causing a rash on my face from too many harsh products. So I finally started using lemon juice (fresh squeezed, not the kind in the bottle) on my face every day. I just started a few days ago and I'm seeing results already! Even old scars I'd forgotten about are gone! I'm going to keep using it until they're completely gone. Awesome.

Pros:

IT WORKS!

Cons:

it buuuuuuurrrrnnnnssss

Okay so yesterday i was fed up with all these pimples and blemishes on my face. I feel like my face never clears up for more than a day or 2. So I went googling and found out the natural approach. HAHAHA i gave myself a facial with egg yolks, i looked ridiculous, but it did make my face really smooth and soft. After my experimentation with that i used a fresh lemon from outside, squeezed it and swobbed it all over my face. It burned like AHHHH...! but after the burn my face was smoooooooooth! i was like what? The huge pimples on my face were less red and swollen and my red blemishes were looking better and this was just the first day. I did the lemon thing again this morning afte washing my face with my neutrogena that i use everyday; I can see the difference in my pores. I have NO idea why i havent used these damn lemons before!

Pros:

Scars fade and clearing acne already

Cons:

stings like b**ch for about 5 mins

I've tried everything, absolutely everything except for accutane, and this seems to have pulled it off! Clearing skin in less than 1 week, scars have faded away over night, and still continue to

Pros:

Clears up acne in a 3-4 days, shrinks pores, smells nice.

Cons:

Stings for the first five minutes.

For those of you who care, lemon works because it contains L-ascorbic acid in it. L-ascorbic acid is found in many beauty products, and the bottled ones of pure ascorbic acid cost as much as $50 for a tiny little bottle the height of my finger. And it's also found in lemons, which cost around $3 a bag. :) Anyway, lemons worked really well for me. The lemon caused irritation on my sister's skin. What you should do in that case is discontinue for a few days and wait for your skin to heal. Then try again. I'm not sure about the science behind it, but my friend who works in a cosmetics factory told me that's what they recommend to people whose skin reacts with L-ascorbic acid. It worked for my sister, so it may work for some of you. :) If it's still causing irritation, then you may be allergic to something in the lemon, so i'd stop using it. Also, I'd recommend using lemons in the dark, or at least not under the sun. When i'm using lemons, my skin gets more sensitive.

Pros:

It's cheap and it starts working from the first day!

Cons:

It stings the first few times, but it gets better and better.

USE IT! This is what you'll most likely see: Day 1: Pimple reduce in swelling Day 2: Many pimples are gone and the color is getting better, but there are still pimples. Day 3: Most pimples gone, and scars are clearing up. Day 4 and on: Skin tone gets more and more even, and new acne doesn't come.

Pros:

Gets rid of all your pimples and blackheads. It has citric acid, so it works as an exfoliant making your skin smooth and drastically reducing spots, scars, discoloration and even wrinkles! Not to mention the price.

Cons:

A mild to moderate stigning sensation and redness that fades in about 5 minutes, as the juice dries.

The best topical product I've found for acne. Removes all the oil in your skin without overdrying. Overall, makes your skin look healthy, young and fresh. Simply amazing. Apply every night and rinse off the next morning.
