Pros:

Instant results.
Prevents acne because bacteria cannot reproduce in acid environment.
Dries out zits, whitenes blackheads and shrinks them.
Whitenes red spots and old red spots.
Smells neutral.
Cheap and easy to get.

Cons:

If you use it more than once a day (i use it in the evening instead of lotion), it dries up the skin and is very abrasive and agressive. Don't overdo it!

Great results if used reasonably (once a day tops!).

Pros:

-Feels refreshing on face
-Smells great
-Not expensive to get
-Has AHA in it

Cons:

-Burns and irritates
-Doesn't fight acne
-Caused breakouts

Works good I guess if you're trying to lighten up acne scars, but in terms of getting rid of acne, it doesn't do much but cause more breakouts.

Pros:

Clears the hell out of black heads
Fades dark spots, and scars
Makes face super soft
Leaves skin glowing
Clears up mild acne
Clears redness

Cons:

Burns and itched my skin (you get used to it)

When I woke up after leaving it on my face all night, I noticed a difference immediately. My face was very soft, the redness was gone, and some of my acne was drying out. On the other hand I have mixed acne, white heads, blackheads, cysts, the list goes on. I have been using it for about a month now and it has made my skin look fresh, but has not done much for the more severe acne on the sides of my face. I cut the lemons into fours and put them in a container in the fridge, I rub a slice all over my face after I cleanse my skin. I leave it on all night, but wash it off in the am after 5-10 minutes. Does not dry skin, but hydrates it.

Pros:

-Smells Yummy
-Reduces acne
-Feels smooth after awhile
-Gives face a natural glow
-Healthy for skin
-Inexpensive

Cons:

-It stings(You will get use to it), but it's worth it.

Well i had light moderate acne, and some brown spots from acne picking, and i thought i should use this remedy. I got a wedge of lemon squeezed it and dipped my cotton ball into it and applied it all around my face, But its a good thing to apply more directly on your unwanted acne and scars. I don't wash it off at night, i think it works better that way for me, but i sometimes wash it off in the morning. So after i did it, i woke up in the morning and my acne has reduced by alot. The brown scars or something(i dont know wbhat theyre called) faded away dramaticlly and I was most pleased by that, cause im more irratated by those brown things than my acne, Seems like this is good, so i'm going to keep this up:) AND YES Dont think twice about doing it, you should really try it.

Stings enough for you to KILL yourself

It works pretty well but if you don't like little things that hurt you do NOT try this!!! But overall if your looking for a good cleanser try lemons!!!!!

Pros:

Removes old (top layer) of skin, which helps new skin grow faster.

Contains AHA, BHA (known exfoliators) and Vitamin C according to other online sites.

Almost no effect on pimples if used infrequently (see explanation in bottom line)

Cons:

Stings if used too frequently. Takes a few extra minutes time to cut up (1/4 for whole face), squeeze juice, apply, and wash off.

Must be used with other acne meds for best results. I used salicylic acid wash/benzoyl peroxide and adapalene daily (day and night respectively). Lemon juice once or twice a week. YMMV I'm an engineer so I personally like to think of it as a rate in/out problem. To improve one's condition the rate of new pimples forming (R_in) must be lower than the rate of which pimples are removed (R_out). If R_in << R_out then you'll clear up very fast. For Lemon juice... it removes top layer of skin and makes new skin grow (complicated cell signaling stuff I won't get into =P). This causes pimples to be moved towards the surface more quickly. However, if used too frequently it may cause more pimples to form . Keep in mind that lemon juice may not be sterile (use sterile technique always! google it if you're not familiar with this). I recommend squeezing your own every time. Wrap unused quarter portions in saran wrap, fridge.

Pros:

Cheap, easy to apply & seems to work quickly!

Cons:

Not sure yet

I actually just tried this last night for the first time after coming across this site yesterday. The stinging is minimal, and only where I had a couple "raw" spots from recent blemishes. My biggest reason for trying this was 2 DEEP blemishes that were very big and painful. I had the lemon "mask" on for about 15-20 minutes, then cleansed, toned & moisturized before bed. When I woke up this morning those 2 blemishes are incredibly diminished! I'm blown away & will be putting this into my routine skin care to see how it will improve my skin in the long run!

Pros:

-Smells nice

Cons:

-Burns
-Itches
-Stings
-Made my acne the worst it has ever been

This did nothing for me but make my acne worse. I only did it for a week but I suffered the painful results (of severe acne) for 2 months. You can try diluting it with water so it doesn't burn your face so much, but no matter how much water I used it felt like I put gasoline on my face and set it on fire.

Pros:

Smells nice
Gets the job done
Makes skin feel great!

Cons:

Stings horribly if you have an open cut or recently popped pimple
May itch
May burn face in the sun

I didn't see results from nutrogena oil free wash it smelt good and felt nice but it didn't do the job and so I went online and looked up home remedies for acne and I saw a Lot of stuff so I did research and found out that lemon juice can do the job quite well so I went over to the fridge and saw a bottle of 100% lemon juice and applied it with a cotton ball it burned and stung but In a good way and I woke up and my smaller acne and the redness had gone down by alot and I felt so good about myself but avoid going in the sun while it is still freshly applied may cause severe burning and irritating feeling
