Great to keep oily skin at bay
I first used jojoba oil a couple of months ago and I have not had an oily face since the first day I used it. I used organic jojoba oil from a health store and I've also used dans from the regimen and I didn't notice a difference between them they were equally great. I use it underneath my moisturizer, I apply the oil first and then my lubriderm. Works great

Pros:

Best moisturizer for daytime and bedtime. Pure - no added ingredients. One bottle can last for months.

Cons:

Who cares if the bottle leaks a bit?

You have to remember to measure by the drop. For me: 3 drops is enough for nightime facial moisturizing. 2 drops or less in daytime under my makeup. If I do end up with excess, it goes on my lips and my neck. I'm 58 years old and I love the way it softens my face. Also, I have not experienced any winter dryness since using this product.

Pros:

Moisturizes

Cons:

If you use to much...could clog yo face.

I dont know why people are using this OIL to wash their faces? Its suppose to be used as MOISTURIZER....and when used like that..its wonderful. I also use it in my hair...when i want to scrunch it. Do not use the OIL as a facewash...just use the whole daniel Kern system and in the mornings...just apply a few drops in the moistureizer (already in the system) and your skin will be soo nice. BUT if you seem to be breaking out more...use less of the oil. I also use a few drops of oil around my eyes before I go to bed.

Pros:

Simple and natural

Cons:

made my face look like garbage

I really wanted this to work. I have suffered with adult acne (lovely cystic kind) for the last 10 years... and to be honest I'm sick of it. I thought this souned like a perfect solution. I was wrong. I think maybe the fact that my skin tends to be dry and not at all oily is why this caused me to develop about 10 new cysts within a week of using it. I did stick with it, thinking it was somehow a 'purge', but nope. Not even close. So now I'm back to doing what I did before. I still love the jojoba for my hair and other things, though, so thankfully it wasn't a waste of money.

Pros:

Very Gentle! Great moisturizer for ALL skin types. Because it resembles skin's own oil it seems to know what balance your skin needs.

Cons:

Clogged my pores! Actually slowed my own oil production down way too much and made my skin drier...and I had oily skin!

I am not sure about this overall. I definitely think this is worth a try for anyone. I would wash my face twice a day in the sink or shower and then I would wash with 3 to 4 drops of jojoba then pat dry. There would be some of it left on for moisture. Days later of doing this I noticed that my skin became really rough and eventually I broke out. I loved it at first but it seemed to stop my own oil production drying my skin out and irritating it to cause more breakouts. It clogged my pores :( bottom line...it is worth a try if used carefully and gently, you never know.

Pros:

My skin was horribly dry and flaky from the harsh winter weather; I tried exfoliating, and moisturizers. Within a day or two of using the Dessert Essence oil, all the flakes and dryness was gone. I haven't used it long enough yet to see if it clea

Cons:

It is a bit oily, but it's light, not greasy. The DE brand is a little difficult to dispense only a couple of drops.

Within a couple days my skin looked and felt better. Extreme dry skin was gone. It seems to be clearing my face up!

Pros:

Brought my combination skin into a balanced state.

Cons:

Takes some effort to prevent a shiny looking face!

I have quite dry but acne prone skin. I use 1:3 tea tree oil to jojoba oil, about 12 drops total, right after I've washed my face. I then massage in moisturizer and toner, wait a minute for my face to drink all of that up, and then pat off any excess with a clean cloth. By the time I've brushed my hair, any shine on my face is absorbed (or I can use a shine-blotting paper).

Pros:

only thing that relieves flakiness from BP gel.

Cons:

skin is shiny.

i tried dans regimen but my skin was really red and flaky, no matter how much of his moisturizer i applied, but this did the trick. applied 5 drops after BP gel and it takes a while to absorb but it's worth it. i was worried about oil on my skin but i haven't had any additional breakouts, once my skin gets used to the bp i may switch back to dans moisturizer but this has kept me on the regimen!

Pros:

Leaves skin silky smooth & doesn't cause breakouts whatsoever.

Cons:

Very oily if used on a dry face with dry hands. Makes skin a bit shiny.

I've been using this for weeks and while I love it, I'm not sure if this is helps with specifically with acne. However, it's a real treat for dryness! Very calming and great for redness. I have sahara dessert dry skin and I've never found a better moisturizer. Morning routine: Wash face with a 1% salycic acid cleanser. Add two drops of jojoba oil into one pump of cetaphil moisturizing lotion. Night routine: Wash face with a 1% salycic acid cleanser. Apply 4 to 5 drops of jojoba oil on a moist face with wet hands. Spot treat any acne with a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream.

Pros:

AWESOME STUFF!

Cons:

Feels Oily for a couple of minutes until it absorbs into the skin.

I've been using Duac, and it drys out my skin so much that it's flakey... I've been trying out a lot of mositurizer that just made my skin break out, burn, or once asorbed/dried that brought the flakes back. I highly recommend this stuff! This is the only moisturizer that actually makes my face resolve the dryness/flakey issue. It's all organic so I don't have to worry about damage to my skin. It also makes my skin soft, more nourished, and lushious. Even though it's pretty expensive, It still works wonders. I really recommend this product!! You can buy this product in mostly all health food stores if you're thinking about buying some.
