This stuff works great! The reason it is never prescribed is because doctors never prescribe natural stuff. Their job is to get you to order THEIR prescriptions. Otherwise how else would they make money? There are some doctors, however, that use natural methods for healthy, acne-free skin that are not covered by insurance

Pros:

the perfect compliment to dan's regimen.

Cons:

a small initial purge, but nothing major.

I take about two squirts of dan's soap with a squirt of jojoba oil (about a nickel-sized blob) and mix it all in my hand until it makes a thick lather and gently massage that into my face. after letting it sit for a few moments, I wash it off with warm water and then proceed with the rest of dan's regimen. in about a month's time, it's really improved the look of my skin and the severity of my acne. I think perhaps putting a ton of BP on your face twice a day for a long time can wear out your skin and the jojoba helps balance things out.

Pros:

all natural, helped keep my oily skin under control, healed my acne scars, you only need a small amount no side affects

Cons:

not really a con but it has a temporary light greasy feel until the skin absorbs it.

I have oily skin. After an hour at work I take a break to dot my face with a paper towel & I keep some stashed at my desk for the rest of the day. I have bad acne scars & break-outs. My friend had the same problem as me but started using jojoba oil cause she heard about it from another friend. It didn't make sense to me to put more oil on my oily face but I've tried a lot a products & had side affects & my friends face looked great. I went online to look for the product she was using. I LOVE IT. It really stopped my shiney face blues & healed my acne scars. I'm self conscious so I still check my mirror every hour & still no greasy face. I love this stuff. I bought a 2 oz bottle a few months ago & still have over a half bottle left. I put 5-6 drops on a cotton ball. My friend turned me on to Komaza herbal infused jojoba oil. I order online. I think that's what aided the jojoba to clear my scars & acne. They also can tailor an herbal jojoba for you. It took 2 weeks to see change.

Pros:

Clears skin a bit, no side effects

Cons:

Doesn't really clear skin

After trying countless products including: differin, benzaclin, clearasil, oxy, stridex, rite aid treatement, proactiv, and more, I found no solution to acne. I tried jojoba with high hopes, but found the same results I do with all the millions of other acne treatments I've tried. I have moderate acne and initially I saw a tiny improvment with the jojoba, but shortly thereafter, my acne just went back to normal.

Pros:

Nothing will help clear the skin more than this!!

Cons:

i am thinking hard, but even if u feel slight bit greasy in first 20mins, who cares?!! When u can get clearer skin...

I was sceptical bout using oil, and i have stubborn acne on my cheeks. I have been using it abt 3days now and the less stubborn acne on one cheek has healed abit, so i presume take abit more time to heal. The acne on my other cheek is v stubborn but i know i will see healing on that side after some more usage.

Hey just wanted let yall know you can get some at gnc(overpriced though), vitaminshoppe(more affordable and probably same thing) and I also saw it on amazon too for like maybe a 16oz and its not so much considering it lasts a long time apparently. I am still trying to get it so hopefully I will this week and hope it helps me. I have extremely oily skin and moderate acne just a few pimples here and there but I am hoping more so that it will help with the oiliness. PRAY FOR ME!! hehe

Pros:

Unbelievable product. Works as a moisturizer and cleanser with no side effects. Also, my forehead wrinkles are gone after a week of use. These wrinkles were from the CSR, which was not as effective as Jojoba oil.

Cons:

Don't forget that you will most likely experience an initial purge, as with BP Gel and other acne products.

Just to clarify, Jojoba oil is actually a wax (an ester). It is remarkably similar to the sebum our own body produces. I use 100% Now Jojoba Oil from GNC stores and it has worked like no other acne product. After a week, my face is glowing and is clearer than it ever has been.

Regretting it
I don't know if I believe in purging anymore that notion has gotten my skin to the point where it's lost a lot of clarity and I suggest anyone using products unless there retinoids or whatever(not familiar with those) to stop using them because purging could just mean it's causing more harm than good. On to jojoba oil it broke me out immediately and clogged pores all around my nose looks like milia I'm very upset. Do I recommend it? No but it might work for some but I mainly just use water to wash my face

I hate to hear that jojoba oil didn't work for you. Try hemp seed or argan oil. Good luck randymenlay!

love this oil
I love jojoba oil! It has a thinner consistency than olive oil or other oils, like castor oil. It's supposed to be the oil that's the most similar to your sebum. So i found that after consistent use of jojoba oil, my sebum production was much more regulated. It also serves a great moisturizer too!
